Thanks for this, Shannon and take your time. :)

I got some news. The idiots over at TMZ have video of Liz Taylor coming out of some place. They asked her about MJ. This is what they asked her (I am going to paraphase).

* They asked her about the NL situation. She looked shocked when these phototags told her and then she said that she knows nothing about what/is going on with NL.

* One of the stalkers aka phototags asked her if she has spoken to Michael. She said that she has spoken to him "fairly recently". They asked her how was MJ and she said that he "sounded good".

* Lastly, she said that she wishes MJ all of the love and the best in the world.

It was pretty nice.

Magazine alert: Today I went to Seven Eleven during my lunch break and I looked at the new issue of Blender magazine. They did an "review" or "reissue" of Thriller 25. I think it is on page 89 or 68, I forgot! LOL. Dang.... and I just had the page number a minute ago. The country singer, Taylor Swift is on the cover. I did not read the article because I was in a hurry but it is at least a page long. Looks interesting but knowing Blender magazine and the media in general, I am iffy. They might have some stupid comments here and there.

That is all the news I have for now.

LONDON - There were only ever six Beatles, and Paul McCartney was one of them. Only a couple of dozen people every year become Knight Bachelors, and Paul McCartney is already one of them. But as of March, Forbes figures show there were 946 billionaires in the world, and, despite what his estranged wife Heather Mills might want you to think, Paul McCartney is not one of them.

Contrary to press reports saying that he is worth £825 million ($1.6 billion), Paul McCartney, in spite of being one of the most successful musicians of all time, is not a billionaire.

Why? The rights to most of the Beatles’ biggest songs--i.e. their early work--are owned by Sony BMG and Michael Jackson. It was only when the Fab Four set up their own record label, Apple Corps, in 1968 (and incidentally laid the groundwork for another predictably name-based lawsuit) that they took on the rights to their subsequent catalogue of songs and shared the royalties between the four band members equally.

But this was the late 1960s, when the band was heading to the foothills of the Himalayas to learn meditation and also worryingly close to their final split. Critically, it was also well after blockbuster hits like "She Loves You," "Please Please Me" and the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

Today as an artist and a songwriter, McCartney does get royalties for the sales of his albums and radio airplay, but neither is significant.

He’s actually been trying to claw them back. McCartney, Ringo Starr and the relatives of their late Beatles band mates John Lennon and George Harrison sued their old record label EMI in 2005 to try and recover what they claim is more than $53 million in unpaid royalties.

In 2007 McCartney didn’t even make it onto our Celebrity 100 list, though he had come in at number 14 in 2006, with an annual income of $40 million. He had recently raked $77 million from his North American tour, but his album Chaos and Creation in the Backyard had only modest commercial success internationally.

Today, from the royalties McCartney does get excluding tours, we estimate that the former Beatle takes home between $20 million and $30 million annually.

Heather Mills is reportedly seeking up to $120 million from McCartney in a settlement, but aside from the obvious disadvantage of having fired her legal team, so that she is now defending herself, there is also this: Her estranged husband may simply not have all the funds she is hoping for.

TMZ needs to just STOP IT ALREADY with their sudden mad MJ obsession!! It's beyond pathetic at this point, the very first question they asked the legendary Liz Taylor after greeting her was about Michael and Neverland . And that appears to be ALL that the TMZ paparazzo asked her about, was several questions about Michael.

And just the other day TMZ admitted to calling MJ's reps, Jermaine's reps, Tito's reps, LaToya's reps, and Janet's reps just to try and find out why Michael wants to keep Neverland. Desperate!

On a side note, by going out in public like this Ms. Taylor has once again sent a big "F-U" to the sleazy tabloids--just a few days ago I saw her picture on the cover of National Enquirer, yet again, with the recycled caption of "DYING Liz Taylor NEEDS liver transplant". Makes me absolutely sick how insensitive these publications can be just to sell copies, they've been going on for more than a decade now about how Liz is always "dying", grr!!! :mat:

A line of several hundred people is snaking around the edge of the parking lot at the Salem Armory, but plenty of parking still is available.
Robert Walker, 35, said he didn’t think twice about skipping class at Chemeketa Community College to see Obama.
“This is like Michael Jackson tickets,” Walker said. “I’m an Obama fan. He’s hot. He’s hot.

"Just call me Tito," math department chairman Chris McDonald said, patting down an oversized natural wig for his portrayal of the Jackson Five brother on the song "ABC."

Boom, boom, boom, boom, 5, 6, 7, 8," nursing major Huy Tran quietly mouthed as he bounced, twirled and dipped on the challenging choreography former staff member Curry Riley created for Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Helping to sing the praises of prepositional phrases (such as "We learn in the classroom") were fifth-grader Brea Brenner, who led the girls in singing a chorus of "Gimme, gimme, gimmme prepositional phrase!," and Zachary Anderson, fourth grade, who led the boys in "Nah, nah, nah, prepositional phrase!"

After the students called out for an encore, the grand finale was "Proofread It" (set to Michael Jackson's "Beat It"): "Use a thesaurus, use your best friend, use the spell checker, use a red pen."

Students also learned about the rise of Motown in the 1960s, when Berry Gordy brought groups such as The Supremes, The Temptations and The Jackson Five to national attention. The students laughed as they watched a 12-year-old Michael Jackson belt out the lyrics to “I Want You Back” on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Oehler said that performance, and the success of Motown artists, was important in bringing the changes of the civil rights movements to fruition years after segregation was outlawed. “A lot of African American artists had to work very hard to get on TV still in the 1970s. It was hard to break that color barrier on TV,” she said. “And (Jackson’s) just one year older than most of you guys at that point, and yet he’s singing fantastically ... There’s a way we can relate to that, when we see a star on TV who looks like us, we think that anything’s possible. And that meant a lot to African Americans watching at home.”

No one's ever accused me of being a dancer before. The only time I'd ever danced—before going on this show—I ended up in the hospital. I was doing the Michael Jackson dance from "Thiller" when I was 11, spun around and fell face-first on a speaker in my house. I was bleeding between the eyes. It's still the most visible scar I've got on my body. I guess you could say my expectations for myself were pretty low coming into this.

Five years on, invading US soldiers still in Iraq

Then a 19-year-old private just out of school, the memories of the day he entered Baghdad are etched in his mind.
"It was a shock," said the darkly tanned, smiling-faced Sanchez, who now boasts the rank of staff sergeant and has a squad of 11 troops under his command.
"The birds (helicopters) were blowing up vehicles and buildings as we were walking down the road. The Iraqis were preoccupied with looting. We saw a forklift driving down the road with chandeliers on it. It was a crazy time."
Later, once Iraqis realised Saddam had been toppled, the invading troops were treated as heroes.
"It was like a parade. Troops were swamped with people. They were screaming 'Michael Jackson' and doing Michael Jackson with their shoulders."

Does anyone know where he is right now?
Is he even in Vegas?

As the article stated that he had left around 10 days ago so who knows where he can be now as it has been awhile since he apparently has been there.

Funny that you say that because I have a feeling we will here something very soon. As back says, KEEP WATCHING..........

Re: Weekend News Bytes for March 21-23, 2008

it's just usually with MJ... MJ mentionings and news gets less and less, and further in between. untill he suprizes everyone.. We have not had any news for a while.. Neverland crap does not count, he cannot help that..

But he was more willing to make appearances, he was spotted more often. I remember the end of last year and some of this year we would see him on the plane going place to place, spotted everywhere.. Now the past month(s) it's been................................................... With some very little exeptions.

* Less sightings than usuall
* Less visable
* Less statements by Raymone
* Did not want to appear at award shows even though dedications were planned

The only time he came out was to recieve an award.. The REAL reasoning behind it is to announce/promote Thriller 25. If Thriller 25 and he did not want to announce it, he would not have shown to that show either..

That is totally MJ's style before something BIG

It is pathetic isn't it? I mean, they couldn't even ask the dear woman how she was? No class at all. And yes, I think we can all agree that the tabloids are nothing but scun when it comes to spining crap in the media. When I was a child, I used to puchase every single magazine on Michael that I could find, and esp the Enquirer. I would read that crap and sit crying about this or that. So sad to think that they can affect a person's mind. They can sound so convincing at times, esp to an 11 or 12 year old.

Tabloid Gossip Mags=100% CRAP!!!

BTW, thank you for the comments/news.

KOPV - I feel on that because everytime I come on here, I really feel that something big is going to be announce regarding MJ's future projects.

TSCM - I am telling you, TMZ is full of crap. After they aired that trash days ago regarding NL, I hada two day boycott of the show. They really pissed me off. Now, I am just going to be on the look out for what they have next. They need to let that NL story go and let it be. Harvey Levin needs to stop hating and accept the fact that Mike is NOT getting rid of NL so that he can have first dibs at the place and what is in it. Fools.

Huummm....so they say that Michael's people were seen moving items out of his Palms condo......huuumm...^_^

....

...do you think with the recents events with Never Land that...well....he could be moving back there??? -_-

I shouldn't speculate, just a thought. He could just be relocating to another area in Vegas. I guess we'll wait and see. ^_^

Oh that would be so fantastic, I just can't get over the fact that he's living in rented places or hotels, he belongs in his home in Neverland...I just hope he finds his way back after all.

Well there was a report that he had people moving stuff OUT of Neverland last week. I don't know how valid the report is but I guess I wouldn't get my hopes up about him moving back in the near future. We will see.

Maybe he moved in with Will.i.am. lol

I shouldn't kid. New members might believe me.:p

Why wasn't that report posted here? I never saw it. They only report I saw of Michael moving stuff out was the one from that reporter in Vegas who said he saw assistants moving Michael's things in boxes from his suite in the Palms hotel.
