Why is michael saying goodnight during the SYB performance lol. This has been on my mind \4 yrs lol. Durin The bad tour Yokohama he is sayin goodnight and the shows not over lol. Why do u think? maybe he had a victory tour flashback lol?

Because he want's the crowd to think it's over, and then he comes back on for an encore to surprise them, lol.

Freddie Mercury done it aswell during the Mgaic Tour in 1986 after he performed Crazy Little Thing Called Love after the song had finished he said goodnight and got booed :lol: so mayby thats where he got the idea from

I always thought the same, that he is teasing the audience to think "oh no, it's over, already?" and then he wows them with another song or two before really saying Goodnight Everybody! I suppose it's like a very gentle way to let people come back down to earth after a live performance, instead of an abrupt ending.
