Yes, that is because the effect of love is causing her to be giddy and silly, cause that is what true love does to people.:p

Patti LaBelle is a great singer. I always loved this song though. Great melody. Both Barbra Streisand and Whitney Housten turned Michael down on a duet for this track, and that was dumb, because it was a number one hit.
 
I don't like this version. It annoys me because I know how the song should go and her vocals are always falling behind if you know what I mean?!
