It would be fantastic if we could get a star for MJ. I have Raymone Bain's email address. Should I email her? Or have you guys all ready done so?

Thanks for the offer.....but we have emailed her sooooo many times. She actually answered us once over a year ago and said she would tell MJ about it in Japan and would contact us when they got back.........but she never got back to us. I've lost count as to how many emails we have written to her since then. I dont care what anyone says.......I miss Evvy Tavacsi!

I have only just seen this thread, and it seems a wonderful idea, but $15,000 is a hell of alot to raise!

You said the Elvis fans have raised alot already, are they doing it just by donations? or other stuff?

Maybe the proceeds form the 50th Birthday Party can go towards the Vegas star (once they pay off the venue and performers of course).

We get all kinds of offers from people who say they want to help, yet no one wants to help when it comes to donating money. I know times are tough, but you mean to tell me hardly any fans cant afford a few extra dollars? Come on guys, we are all in this together! We want this to be an honor for Michael from ALL FANS world wide, not just a select few!!!! Please consider donating a few dollars and asking your friends to do the same! Dont do it for us, do it for Michael!!!!!!

PS: Remember how I told you about the ONE, SINGLE fan who is in the process of trying to take over this campaign ? Well, it seems the ladies doing the Elvis star campaign ran into the same issue. Its really pathetic when ONE fan with money wants to take over something others started just to make a name for himself. This isnt about one club, one fan.........its about ALL fans united honoring Michael!!! This is from ALL of us....not a select few. Its a pity some dont remember that. Pathetic........

You are soooooo right! I couldnt agree with you more.
 
Can we stop blaming back and forth! I don't think it will help anyone in any way. Every single individual is free to choose where they put their money into. If some fans want to donate some money for the star in Vegas...that's their choice. And if some don't want to give their money to this particular project, I don't think it is very fair to start calling them names and call them fake and what not. Everyone has the right to choose and if some don't find this particular project appealing to them or don't have money or don't want to give money for something like this...they have that right. There are other ways to support Michael too.

Also, we shouldn't condemn those who try to get the star for Michael. But...I'd also like to remind....the main goal is to get a star for MJ in Vegas, right? And if some fan has a lot of money and can afford to buy that star all by himself...where's the problem? Let's all put our egos aside and concentrate on just being MJ fans and trying to get along...shall we?

Well he has been close to Joseph for many years, also with Randy I think. However, I know for a fact he is not a favorite among other members of the family. I have met him many times, and I know people who know him very well. I'm sorry but I don't trust a word he says.
