Channel 4 (UK) Close To Signing Jackson Family For Devon Reality Show

The only way that I would ever recommend Michael take part in any new "documentary" or "reality TV" special would be if he restrict the producing and directing to his own family and longtime very close friends, rather than some unknowns who could have ulterior motives like Martin Bashir. Another special like "Private Home Movies" would be just excellent.

what the...? did you see the srategically placed Ameircan stripes and stars cusions in that 'Devon Pad' (who thought devon had the pads and the cribs!! LMAO) -- must have been customed made for the Jacksons!

A move to Devon may buy some quiet time for the Jacksons but Fiddes needs to put a sock in it.

That Fiddes guy is using the jackson's name for promotion. I wouldn't be surprised if he is being payed by the media.
If the Jackson family were looking for peace and quiet. how in gods name would they get it now with the media all over this place. They have even shown the road where the house was supposed to be. Also, how would a 5 bedroom house hold the jacksons. and when did the jackson clan ever holiday together? This article is as bogus as they come. I bet apart from Jermaine and Tito, non of the family has ever met this fellow and they don't even know why their names are being mentioned. That Fidde guy is being dishonest because he poses as a jackson family friend when he only knows Jermaine and Tito and he has used their names to get maximum publicity for himself.
Shame on him. I knew it was a disaster from the start.
 
IF they decide to do this, I hope they all get drawn closer because of this. This is a chance for their family to SHINE....to poke fun at themselves and each other....to show the world that this family IS very close, and loves each other immensely. And that they may come out of doing something like this receiving something so precious and so priceless....that they realize the value of FAMILY. Not that they don't now....I think that this will just give them more of an opportunity to cherish their family.. THAT is what this is all about...

I think this could be HYSTERICAL!! Could you imagine, Michael trying to get into the bathroom...knocks on the door....yells "Janet!! Are you done YET?? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! How long does a woman have to be in there anyway"....then when MJ isn't looking, Janet sneaks out and LaToya sneaks in....MJ turns back around and finds the door locked AGAIN...turns and looks into the camera and says "For some odd reason, this reminds me of my days back in Indiana..."...
 
I think the article was designed to mock the Jacksons. If you take a look at the house they showed the average person in britain would not live in a house like that. It is a cheap converted barn that is no celebrity of any standing would want to live in. They are taking the micky in an on going effort to belittle the Jackson family . it is like they are so poor that they can't afford to live anywhere else.

Datsy, I don't think this is the case. I think the Jacksons IF they were doing this, WANTED a house like this. Stripped down from pretension. Bare. Something that doesn't have too much ornate in it....so that they can be down to earth here..

I beg to differ. I think it is the case. I do not believe that the Jacksons are engaged in any show in britain. None of it makes any sense at all. I think it is a gimmick designed to mock the jacksons. That house is the pits. Who would live there. There is no privacy there. Furthermore, they have already shown the very street that the house is in, so how is it private. It is a cheap joke, released the day after AFD to make it seem believable.:huh:

Datsy, if this story is true....how are they going to get down to earth if we all have attitudes like this? Personally, I think it would be great for them to portray themselves more down to earth. And this is a very good first step. They need to get down with the people. And they need to do this like this. Yes, we know where they live....but it's in BRITAIN. And there was no STREET SIGN that I could see.....I'd like to be more cynical about this, but if it's true, it would be GREAT for them..

Devon is a very remote place, almost like the outback of britain. Land is very cheap there and the place is sparsely populated. The house that they showed the Jacksons renting is not worth more than about 200 00 pounds. That is very cheap in britain., My parents house is worth 3 times that much. This story, with the house included was a deliberate attempt to build on the story from last week that the Jacksons are so 'down and out' that they can't even afford their own homes. Notice how they are all going to squeeze into a 5- bedroom home, even thought the siblings are 9 in all. Not to mention their children.
Furthermore, had the jacksons rented that house the media would not have had access to it cause it would have been a violation of their privacy. I believe that the story is fake. That the media payed the owner of the house some money to use that house and very likely Matt Fiddes receive something to give that quote too.
 
The Jacksons are very down to earth. Why would you want to see them living like a pauper? What is there to be gained from it, except to satisfy some perverse fantasy. If that is not how they usually live, how does it make them down to earth, and why the Jacksons, why not madonna?

:lol: At least I got your support on something. No but In Devon, house prices are very low. That converted barn is not worth much. I know I went over the top with the price of houses but I live in London where house prices are very high. But you just have to look at the front of that house to see how rundown it looked. The media is having a laugh at the Jackson's expence. A further attempt to humiliate them.:)

whaaa!? you get my support on a lot of things lol c'mon.. but this is the Mirror and the Sun talking i really wouldn't want to give them the time of day - too late now since i participated in the thread! but this should stay in the tabloid/trash section imo.
 
Its the same reason why Paris HILTON and Nicole RICHY decided to do THEIR reality shows where they did them....
 
My problem with the article is only the fact of how close they are to signing a deal and the property to be used.

I totally believe we 'will' see a reality TV show. Back in April 2006 MJJF Radio's 'DJ Thijzzz' gave an in depth interview with Taj Jackson. Taj spoke with great enthusiasm and at great length about the reality TV show that was being planned by the Jackson family.
My take from that interview was that every member of the Jackson family would at some point put in an appearance (including Michael).
I don't think for one minute that Michael would take up residence at the house, but I do believe he would visit and spend some time with them all.

My question for Taj was (other than 'Why' have you recorded any other songs with Michael?) Taj was a little reluctant to answer at first saying....I don't want to say too much about that at this stage....3T are working on a new Album and I don't want to say too much...um...well...yes we have recorded other songs with Michael....umm..he's worked on ours and we've worked on his...umm...I don't want to say too much right now.

If you think about it, if 3T are going to release an Album soon then a reality TV show would be a fantastic way of promoting themselves and the Album.

As for Michael, I don't think we'll be seing his Album until after the court case in September anyway, so if people get a chance to see just what a beautiful family the Jacksons really are then that can't be a bad thing can it.

Paris Hilton and Necole are not the Jacksons. Hilton and Ritchie were trying to make a name for themselves. The Jacksons are world legends. The should not be compared.
Furthermore, nobdy from the jacksons have said that they were taking part in such a deal, so why all this revelation and everybody quoting them?
Channel 4 hates the Jacksons. They run mean and cruel documentaries abvout them all the time. Why would the Jacksons want to do a documentary with them any way?
Why are people keen to see the jacksons humiliated? What is up with that?:)

It was just reported that Joe Jackson was taking part in a reality show. Any reality show would be in America, on american soil, not here in Britain. How can it be a reality show when it isn't showing real life. A back street in Devon is not reality.
