He does, otherwise he wouldn't be working on his new album. He could have just retreated, would have had so may reasons to, yet he continues to give, to make music, not only for himself, but for the fans. His perfectionism is generated and emphasized by his public, by the recipients of his messages, not to mention by negative, counterproductive criticism. He isn't a deliverer of services with no addressee. If he didn't do music for others or any artistic endeavors, he wouldn't care, but would keep them to himself. But he does care, he only wants secrecy and privacy and that deserves a lot of respect. So obviously, you need to reconsider your words.

so true , every MJ album release is scrutinized by the whole world. really not much to do but patiently wait for it

If he truly was concerned his die-hard fans would be told a little something about this "new music" or at least some type of timeframe of when to expect it. Every other major artist like Mariah, Madonna, Usher even Janet kept in touch with their fans and they were given a timeframe.

He says there's more to come (in whatever way that means), so chill out. lol
 
I just miss the days when Michael would put on a mind blowing performance at an awards show and the music scene just doesnt seem as exiting without a character like him. I need more music, more songs written by him. There arn't many true legendary greats left and hes one of them.
 
^^^^ Don't worry, we'll get those performances again, he'll rock our world when we least expect it. I KNOW it, despite what anyone says.
 
This might not have much to do with this thread, but I'll say it anyway:

The lack of news and the long periods of silence these past few weeks/months reminds me of around the middle of last year (2007) before the news about the L'Uomo Vogue photoshoot broke. It was veeerrrry quiet.....none of us knew where Michael was.....or what he was up to....nothing. Just like how it is now. Then...The New York Post reports about the L'Uomo Vogue photoshoot....Raymone confirms it, we all get excited.....and when the cover and photos leaked onto MJJF, it was like a celebration! Then of course Ebony photoshoot/interview soon followed etc etc.

The point I'm trying to make is, just because not much is being reported, doesn't mean absoultely nothing is being done. Yeah sure I've had my tantrums over this as well....but I'm still hopeful that something great is about to happen and I just cannot wait!
 
OKay...NEWSFLASH everyone....this is MICHAEL FRIGGING JACKSON we are talking about....It is not a big secret that he takes years between albums. He goes from" where is he to HERE HE IS AGAIN. :lol: He has ALWAYS done it. And even if he would have decided to never tour again to never make a new album again, it's his business and we gotta deal with what ever decision he makes. Anyways, the point is...TIME WILL TELL.

And before folks start to slam Invincible and how MJ didn't care about the album and how it was boring and how there is no new album yet and what not....Don't forget two things: 1. The thing with Sony. Invincible lacked promotion mostly because of Sony (and sold about 10-11 MILLION copies anyways....without promotion...!!). 2. The trial. MJ had just put out Number Ones...was shooting a video to One MOre Chance...when the whole scandal started in November 2003. So OBVIOUSLY his focus went from work to his PRIVATE life.

Anyways, there is no point in us discussing why it's "taking him so long" because it is Michael's business, and his business only. Maybe he is taking his time because he has loads of ideas ...maybe he wants to spend time by discovering, experimenting.....

Michael may not put out an album every year or every other year....but teh ones he does make are MEMORABLE. His hits are memorable. He has great songs on his albums. And people won't get tired of him because he is not "everywhere" year after year. If you are present the whoooole time for too long, people will get tired of you...

That's all I will say. I am leaving this thread now because I am sick of reading all the negative and partly ridiculous posts by some "fans".

If MJ wants to do something, when he sets his mind to it, he ALWAYS...ALWAYS creates magic. Even if Invincible is not your cup of tea, it was for a lot of people, and it CERTAINLY didn't 'blend in' with the albums that came out at the time....the quality was 100 TIMES better and MJ ALWAYS delivers. you dn't have to like the album. But that doesn't mean that its not a good album by ANY standards, even MJ's.

Its all good though. Ya'll keep doubting the man, like i said. MJ WANTS YOU TO. Why? Because it'll be so funny when you all disappear and stay quiet when he does come out with guns blazing....you'll be silent because you all would be feeling salty that MJ proved you wrong. MJ's waiting to prove some FANS wrong (which is a shame he has to prove to the FANS that he still has it...what kinda mixed up bizzaro world is that? Where the whole world doubts the man, and not even his own FANS have faith in him? Ain't that a shame?)and he is waiting to prove the WORLD wrong. So keep on, keepin' on....gotta make the best of..baaaddd situations (like pessimism).....as Gladys Knight used to say :lol: Keep on doubting. O God! i hope he'll still make an album and tour...at least just one more time. I'll beg him...to give me a chance even its just once to be able to see him live on tour

Live without MJ's music is like live without sounds...deaf! but whatever makes him happy...i'll happy for him coz i love him so much

the man ain't got to do nothing ever again. the man done did it all period. anything he does now is just a side dish at this point.
