Beyonce Slams the Jackson Family

"But I didn't have parents using me to get out of a bad situation."

If it's true that she said exactly that...Beyonce...

I think what bothers me most about this comment isn't really the fact she mentions te Jackson Family but the fact she sounds Really really stuck-up, saying how she's always been upper-class? There is also a comment from her mother about the subject of their upbringing in the same interview.. I just think she is finally showing what's she's really like, she always came across as 'too perfect' like a robot. I guess this is the way she really stands in the world...
I can understand why Janet would get mad about the comment though...Where did beyonce get the idea that her family is like the Jackson family anyway?

^^Hey, don't pay attention to it. They just talk about a 'battle' to make promo for the magazine (who must not be named). They want to sell.

Why is mentioning that you were raised upper class being stuck up?
People say they were rasied in a poor family, Middle class family all the time. She is just saying what they were nothing wrong in that at all. That's not being stuck up IMO

I'm not saying what she said was right, even if true in some aspects.
Those sort of comments can be hurtful for the Jackson family.

LOL, why even mention their name? You have to drag Jacksons into everything these days...
I guess someone's looking for some media attention.

that is completey true!
i agree!

This sl*t is a bit*h, she is just angry beacuse MJ never ever called her when she was all around saying how much she adored MJ, and MJ just didnt call her, i mean only in a song with destiny's child , but never as a solo singer, Beyonce get over this, MJ does not care about you.

Besides she would never be like Mariah or Michael, And the beautiful Rihanna is getting all the attention she wish she had,

I said, don't pay attention to it. It's their way to sell the magazine, they sended it to the media in hope they would do create something out of it and as you see, the magazine has it's promo for free.

I don't understand why people become all sensitive if someone dares to say the truth. If Beyonce is a lucky girl, it's completely OK to say it.
Well, I find it annoyinng if stars who are on vacation all the time, sit there and cry how bad their lives are (or what bad bad guys they were), just to satisfy the media and gain false compassion, create an image. So do I don't like it, if someone has a troubled life and has to pretend everything is fine. There was a host -just for example- they shortly before the show informed him that his daughter suddenly died and he did his show as if nothing had happened and nobody has had a clue of his pain. I don't like it if celebs have to function like machines. I want the truth. If they are sad, they shall show it. But I don't want to see faked tears like they show us on tv shows to make the show "more interesting". I want real emotion, not acting.
If Knowles has nothing to complain about, well, at least nothing really bad, that is what I want to hear because I want to hear the truth.

I think you're all taking this comment way out of context. I don't believe that Beyonce was slaming the Jacksons at all. I think what she was trying to say was that everyone was assuming her family was like the Jackson family because, as she said "We're African-American and we work together as a family." She was saying that her family were rather wealthy and well off, where as the Jacksons were struggling financially and were living in a bad neighbourhood. Her parents never felt the need to push her like Joseph pushed his sons. Joe had the boys working in strip clubs for crying out loud, Michael was six years old, it was obvious that he was desperate.

I just don't understand what the problem is... It's not like she said she was better then the Jackson family, she simply said that she was better off... there's a big difference.

hmmm.... that jab is eerily reminiscent of the slam that comedian made at opening on the last MTV awards program. it is interesting in media/public figure statements by seemingly unrelated characters, how it seems people choose to sing from the same song sheet. slights like these could have been used before, but instead other slights were used, and different media or public people just repeated the same slight in relatively the same moment. smelling conspiracy in all things is counterproductive, but if future digs at the family seem to occur within a reasonable amount of time of one another and is in the same vein, it would seem this is what media or whomever it is that directs them has decided to try and get public to associate to the family whenever their name is mentioned. one can only imagine at the goal of such, and wonder how it works. someone obviously directed the comedian at the MTV awards to be nasty towards Michael, cause he started with that comment so much like Beyonce's here at the beginning of the program, and then continued throughout the program to make digs at Michael. But Beyonce was in her own interview. If these seemingly unrelated events are related... just wonders how that works.

Well I guess that's just the way it came across to me... maybe it's a cultural thing but where I'm from people who talk about how rich they were/are are seen like show-offs,not an attractive quality..
Looking back now I don't think what she said is as big of a deal as I saw it first, I still think she should watch what she says or more importantly how she says things like this...

The word "USING" gives the impression that Katherine and Joe Jackson used the kids talents for their own gain only and not to benefit the children.

I hope that the part about Janet taking her up personally is true. Janet knows how to kick a$$ (another reason why i love her) and Beyonce needs someone to bring her back to Earth.

I was considering to go to her new tour but the hell with it now!

P.S.

Wait...she said "upper class"? I didn't pay attention to that but like presidents and billionaires upper-class??? LMAO!

ok... this is from the national enquirer.. guys..

I am no Beyonce fan.. I think she very overrated...but .. I think the source needs to checked 1st before getting outraged..,.

I'm done w/ Beyotche and am going to burn all of the CD's of hers that I own -- oh that's right, I don't own any and have always thought her crappy, generic brand of pop/R&B is garbage, just like her and her 50 billion rotations of destinky's child. She isn't worthy of cleaning the Jackson family fishtank.

Oh yeah, Beyoncee. the Jacksons we're totally hood out of Gary.

That was so wrong, and she should apollogise.:mat:

I agree, this is from The National Enquirer, tabloid all the way. Think of all the crap they've printed about Michael, either blatantly false or grossly misstated ish.

(and I'm not a great Beyounce fan either, but you have to consider the source here)

The quote is originally from Elle Magazine, it's not fake. Beyonce did in fact say that. Usually, I think sometimes MJ fans overreact about things but I have to say that I think Beyonce was out of line here. The comment about her growing up upper class came across as snobby and then I didn't like how she talked about how the jacksons used their kids to get them out of a bad situation. Joe may have pushed too hard at times but ultimately he wanted better for his kids and wanted them to make something of themseleves. Beyonce is stupid and hypocritical if you ask me because her Father also did the same thing as Joe Jackson. He saw that Beyonce had talent and did everything he could to make sure that she reached her potential and goal. He benefitted from her stardom too, I mean look, Matthew Knowles is still managing Beyonce's career after all these years, so he is benefitting.

At least The Jackson kids broke away from Joe early on in their careers, whereas Beyonce's father is still overseeing her career and making decisions about it, so she is one to talk about parents using kids.

I just read the article on Elle online, and she is quoted as saying that. Have to say it was inappropriate now that I read the Elle article, imo, no matter what the intention was.
