A email I got 4 days before he passed

It is not fair to state that the fans didn't ask questions about his health.. especially as he was reported by media to be too skinny..

But all the time Randy Philips came out and said "He is in perfect condition. I would switch my body with him if I could"
Even when they switched around the fist 4 dates some months ago, the same question came up. Randy Philips, with Kenny Ortega, then said the same thing on a video posted on www.michaeljacksonlive.com

Im not being paranoid trying to deny some truth or something.. But I have hard to believe that AEG LIVE, who is arranging concerts widely over the world, has done some cheating here..

Personally thank you for posting it, but now its too late!
Its said that there was nobody around Michal whom he could listen to, and anyone who could have tell him seriously about it.
There were pictures not old time ago that scared me really!
But i dont know if he had reacted anything you our reactions if he had not listened to anyone :(

I've just spoken to Gary about the thread. He says it will stay for now. If you do not wish to read it, please move on and disregard it.

ya know I agree with you on alot of subjects on this board. But.....why would you want this thread to say??

Because there is an ongoing investigation and this email may prove to be "evidence." What IF Michael did not agree to do fifty shows, but someone signed FOR him? And then he felt obligated? What IF he was being pushed beyond his physical capacity? And there are many other questions. This avenue is not one that has been explored by media, that I've seen yet. It's been, "drugs, drugs, drugs." This email and discussion is NOT negative to Michael.

Why would you NOT want Michael's death thoroughly investigated? Shouldn't his children know the truth, whatever it is? And if not, why not? I'm sorry, but I don't understand. . . .

.
was ignored by those connected to the concerts.

and by his friends, because and I repeat, Mark Lester, Lou Ferrigno both said he looked fine. Lou Ferrigno trained this man. I cannot believe he would train Michael if he was in such terrible condition.

Actually I don't have a problem with it being posted, my problem is that everyone is jumping to conclusions.

We need to wait and hear what the autospy says.

How about we wait until the autopsy reports? Then we can talk about it again...?

In my opinion, he looked WAY WORSE from 2000-2004 or so than recently. I agree that in 2009 he looked his best so far in this millenium.

His body was way more healthy !

This deserves to be investigated. I sincerely hope journalists are trolling here today.

Seriously do you think any journalist of today, would investigate the information that is in this e-mail, in a worthwhile manner?

In my opinion, they would take this information, just like they take all other information regarding Michael Jackson, and TWIST it to fit their own agenda.

There are a lot of things going in my mind right now.....I'm really upset.

I have to agree - somehow, DO NOT let this get to the press!!!!
Victoria, I can see your point, that it is important that EVERYONE learn the truth, including the media. But do you honestly think they are going to report it the way we see it - "why is it that no one said anything and everyone covered it up?" Of course not, they're gonna get back to those fake autopsy results - Michael was skinny, bald, full of needle marks, etc. They're going to take advantage of it to say that Michael was a wreck that did everything because he was bankrupt and needed the money.
I want people to focus on learning WHAT happened, not the bullshit I mentioned above!

As for the letter.....I don't know what to say, it's just very upsetting. I know a true fan would have no reason to lie about this, but at the same time, apart from the director, the rest of people would have had no reason to lie either. The dancers, backup singers, including some of his family members.

I don't know what the truth is, but it all stinks too much. It breaks my heart.

I have to say though, I find many of you very hypocritical. When those photos and the video from the rehearsals appeared, everyone was yelling about how good he looked and how the photos were proof that he was killed. Now everyone agrees he looked bad in the pics. Guess people see what they are told to see...

I didn't see Michael naked or anything like that, but watching the video and looking at the pics, I maintain my opinion - he looked ready for it! I didn't see the image of a sickly person.

I don't know who to believe, but at this point, I just feel very angry.

Um, Kenny frequently mentioned how rehearsals were going great and how the whole team was excited about the prospect of the shows.
They were under a confidentiality agreement not to talk about the specifics. Kenny was only allowed to be vague about it.
And he probably didn't see your tweets. If he's not following you (which he isn't, because he isn't following anyone) then it won't always show up in the timeline. Around late June he had over 2500 followers, and was probably bombarded with stupid questions every hour of the day. He probably didn't even see yours. Also, remember Kenny was and still is a very busy man? What makes you think he had time to respond to you?
Dude, my point wasn't about Kenny not replying :doh::doh::doh::doh:

And to say my questions were stupid.....well, Michael died. So my questioning his health was not really that stupid now, was it?:doh:

As this thread is showing, peoples interpretation of Michaels physical condition is yet another grey area.

Michael has always been thin, scarily so during the trial and whilst I admit to thinking he looked skinnier in the TII footage we saw, he was still moving well.

I wish that those closest too him had tried to get through to him, checked on him made sure he was looking after himself. We cant discount Michaels own personal responsibility in this, he may not have heeded any concern or advice that those close to him may have conveyed. But I do feel the pressures upon him have played a big factor in his death.

The only thing I am slighty worried about - and maybe I am being naive in saying this -, is that the media might pin it on us and say "the fans knew but they didn't do anything".

this is not an eating disorder we are talking about ... nobody is saying Michael had an eating disorder. Dude was thinner than usual for other reasons.

Anorexia by definition is an eating disorder and it was mentioned in the email. That's why people are talking about it.

I know I didn't see Michael in person, but when I saw a video of him on TMZ getting into his SUV I could see his shoulder blades sticking out under his blazer. That scared me, because normally he's supposed to gain weight before a tour, since he loses so much during the tour. I was wondering where the weight was going to come from. *sigh*

Hindsight is 20/20, though, and I think the signs were there that Michael wasn't in the best shape. RIP.

I'm thinking about editing my comments.I don't want to be a part of negative media!

Even if the cause of the death is not confirmed.. Of the things we've heard so far his thin body is clearly not the cause for his death..

pr ofcourse it is still possible.. but i don't believe that is the case

Asking how someone feels and asking what their health is like are two different things. And I never said your questions specifically were stupid. I said Kenny was probably asked stupid questions every hour of the day and yours may have just slipped off the top of his twitter timeline.

It's quite heart breaking having read that. There's even a part of me that feels guilty for purchasing the tickets. All the fans really cared about at the time was seeing Michael LIVE, the biggest comeback in music history, our beloved Michael on centre stage again. Many of us convinced ourselves that he was fine and dandy, in good health. In hindsight all the evidence suggests otherwise. I understand and appreciate why this email was posted, it's really a wake up call for the fans however difficult it is to digest.

I wish so much that he never agreed to do these RIDICULOUS shows. If only he retired from music and spent the rest of his days in obscurity looking after his children, even if that meant no tour or new music. He pretty much did it all anyway, what else was there left to prove? There was a kind of paradox surrounding Michael, so much selfishness yet so much love?? It makes me feel so sad. Even us the fans who always wanted more, never satisfied with one appearance but feeding the demand for 50 shows at the 02. I think some of the fans suspected something was not quite right at the o2 press conference.

MJ at o2 press conference

Michael didn't seem to be himself at the o2 conference. He seemed unsure of himself. His voice was unusually deep, he came unprepared. I wouldn't be surprised if he had taken something before he came on stage. Did you see the bizarre pose he pulled at 4:41 into the youtube video? Sadly the 2003 trial really destroyed what little confidence he had left from the first trial. I can totally believe that he was quite anxious about the shows at the o2, can you imagine how much pressure was on his shoulders? It makes sense that he only agreed to do 10, 50 is just absurd. I know it's controversial that this message has been allowed to be posted here but I feel it's entirely relevant given the current circumstances. Why would a fan lie about such things? They have no motivation to cause trouble or paint Michael in a bad light. Perhaps it might provoke others to step forward with their encounters and insights. Didn't Michael once say “'Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons."

This Is It Rehearsal

I'd also like to point out that Michael's Rehearsal for TDCAU made me feel a bit uneasy. For me it was thrilling to see him performing again but at the same time he was a shadow of his former self. I know people put this down to him not giving it his 'all' due to it only being a rehearsal and the fact he was a 50 yr old man. But if you watch the video again his movements seem to be quite slow. Perhaps AEG and Ortega where blinded by the magnitude of Michael's star power. They where probably thrilled to pieces that these shows where going ahead. Often people will see only what they want to see. I'm trying to keep a level head with all this new information being leaked, the mysterious circumstances surrounding his passing are only going to unearth more unpleasant things. Some of which we might have to accept are true.

Funny how before Michael passed a lot of the general public where cruel, indifferent or ambiguous often labeling him a 'freak' or a 'peado'. People didn't understand his innocence with children, didn't understand how one person could care so much for the welfare of the planet. Or the change of his skin colour. People fear the unknown so they chose to ridicule and persecute him. How sad that it took his death for people to realise what an amazing human being he actually was with flaws. I think it was the stress, loneliness and addiction that led to this tragedy in the end. And the sad truth is we all had some part to play in the story of Michael Jackson. But some part of me feels as though he has found his peace and release. I hope the fans can do the same. He left us his legacy and music for us to cherish but also his heart which he shared with the whole world. God bless him.

Not good. The slant the media could take on this would be disgusting. We know that MJ's kids have already heard some stuff the media have been saying, you're glad that this could get out? It would only upset them more.
The media is pushing the 'MJ is a drug addict' angle and is pushing it particularly hard. It started from the moment his death was confirmed -- Gellar, Chopra, Backerman, the sleazeball porno creep who sued MJ (having a sr. moment, can't remember his name), the German doctor who claimed to have induced sleep during the History tour, and other hanger-ons who have claimed that MJ was addicted to prescription drugs for the last 15-20 years.

Yet a tabloid initally broke the story that his autopsy realized a very under weight MJ, among other things. The LAPD only denied SOME of those findings. Not all. The LAPD screwed up by initially ASSUMING that drug use played a role in MJ's death, and when the initial autopsy did not provide confirmation, AND after interviewing this doctor who was with MJ at the time of his death, did they go back and re-look at things.

The family doesn't know because they weren't around him and can only really speak to past patterns of behavior. They may have been suspicious, but they listened to the AEG-led media reports that all was well in rehearsal land -- just like all of us.

It is possible that a combination of MJ being under weight and malnurished, as well as having his sleep induced, may have pushed him over the edge. Of course, this would NOT jive with the 'MJ is a drug addict story'.

It would paint a picture of a man trying to live up to his obligation of performing a large amount of shows. It would paint a picture of a man who is a consummate, top notch professional who would not complain if things are not going well inside of his body. It would paint of picture of a man who would rather DIE than to disappoint anyone and was desparately trying to find a way to keep it all together. It would paint a picture of a man who was not aware of how ill he may have possibly been.

Of course, this is all conjecture on my part, but this is what is beginning to made sense to me.

We all see what we want to see. Especially when we love someone so much, that to think of the alternative is something that is too painful to bare.

One day after coming out of Klein's office, MJ had on leggings, remember that? Do you remember how skinny his legs were next to his rather large feet?

Looking at the TII rehearsal pictures more objectively, he does look rather thin and there is one picture that has never set well with me and it was one where you could see his face full on. He didn't look right, at least not to me.

We all know that MJ could do these routines in his sleep. That's the kind of pro he was. He was to singing and dancing that Michael Jordan was to basketball. I've seen Jordan play with a raging flu on a number of occasions. Most players would most certainly have taken the night off, but not Jordan. And that was when he played his best because he knew that this team depended upon him and basketball was not just a game for him -- he loved it enough to elevate himself to a different level.

That was MJ too. This was the man who fell 2 stories on that bridge set during the Earth Song and not only kept on singing, but did another full number before he fell out.

What I'm saying it that it's possible to 'see' what 'appears to be' a healthy looking MJ singing and dancing in rehearsals, but not know the physical struggles going on inside of him.

Maybe people around him noticed some things. Maybe others didn't. But I can tell you this: for a man who had a doctor around him 24/7 and not be able to see or understand what was going on with him is very disturbing in the least.

And I'm just going to put it out there: someone(s) knew something and didn't say anything because of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ involved.

May their conscious haunt them for the rest of their lives...

I read something about Michael perhaps not signing himself for the 50 concerts, but felt obliged to do them because someone else did... I don't believe that. Because Michael made many contracts in the past, that he didn't act upon. He would simply ignore them, and get sued again.

Something else has been going on here. Why was Randy Philips so very clear about it being a "do or die" situation. That came true, didn't it. Although the dancers are still under contract with AEG, and it's very possible they are encouraged to put some things in a positive light... the enthusiasm that for example Timor has, feels very real.

Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, I think the autopsy results are key here. A lot of the theories, also here, can be debunked when they come out. And maybe not. But I think it's vital to have that information, before any real accusation can be made.

That all is not right is obvious, but in what way... I want to know, but after the results are known.

You are right about everything.

Michael was always very slight. When he did the anouncement in London in March for the O2 concerts, he did not look skinny. I think he looked much skinnier when he did Billie Jean and thriller. People are just seeing what they want too see or been influenced by what they've read.

there are factors beyond what the toxicology report may conclude ...

Well after reading that, I feel very sad and angry, but the situation seemed so impossible to help. So sad, really brings a tear to my eye.

When he did Billie Jean he was 24 years old.Young and full of life.In the 02 announce he was 51 years old!!! 27 years!

If this is true. Michael WHY oh WHY. He did it ONLY for his fans, he died for his fans, he couldn't handle it. I wish he never agreed to TII, and just grew up with his kids with no new music, nothing. Just his presence would be enough.

And I agree when you look at smooth criminal picture from rehearsal he is skinny. I hope he didn't have any problem we didn't knew.

You are so right about this! I thought it was just me who felt something was changed at o2 press conference! The way he walked, the way he moved... He was not the MJ I know!
About the rehearsal... I was looking at his eyes and... I don't know, maybe it is just me but he looks not very well! Maybe he was tired, I don't know...
Maybe I am wrong but I think something was happening with him!

I am so shocked by wat i have read and i must say as a fan may not be true for anyone else but i think this is true for me i do feel some how responsbile, for being a fan as michael would do anything for his fans and now cause of this it pushed him to far as he wanted to be the best for his fans and dance his best and just be out of this world which to me weather there was a concert or not he would still be,i truely feel that if there wasnt a concert he would still be here,i wish he had never said about the tour and cause we know how in demand it all become hence the 50 shows wow that must of been pressure in its self, loan everything else on top if that and well the ppl around him cldnt of cared including the ppl that passed michael health insurance cause if thay had said no then i believe things would be so so defferent, the whole situation is just heart wrenching,so many factors are involved with wat has happen, just wont sink in but i will say as i fan i feel in someway we was his down fall as he always wanted to impress us,my heart is just broken :-( xxx

Yes, you are right ChiChi. I'm sure there are many facts we have to take into consideration. That's why this discussion is right to be here. But I think at this point it's more wise to collect facts, and the results of the autopsy do play a significant part in deciding what to do with them.

Also, I agree that Michael was waaaay tooooo skinny. At the same time, so was Madonna last year, when she was about to kick off her latest tour:
