Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Woot! Thanks Earth_Song1 for starting this thread. God is the only way in life. And his son, Jesus Christ, paved the road for new believers. He was dead, but he came back to life! He rose again! And I truly cannot wait for things to be as God had originally intended them to be in the beginning; the new Heaven and the new Earth.

God Bless you, IvoryKeys!! Glad to meet other believers who are MJ fans!!

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."

Numbers 6:24-26

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18:2

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

Psalm 55:22
Thanks for these, they are comforting.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I believe in God and have great faith. I fail daily at being a Christian but I do try. I know that whenever I have felt things are too difficult to bear I have felt supported by him. Even when I despair I often find after an event there is a reason for what has happened although it does not always present itself:

For today:

“Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me. There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too. And you know the way where I am going.”

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I am a strong and passionate believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ, although I am not religious since I don't often talk about my religious beliefs, I don't go to church for worship anymore, and when it comes to other religions and beliefs I am respectful of them and won't force my own on others if it'll cause them distress.

I believe in love and that through love we can change the course of humanity into a more caring family of people of all races and nations built to fight against poverty, famine, and disease and steer away from descrimination, war, abuse, violence, and abuse of alcohol or narcotics.

Like others I am saddened over the death of Michael Jackson and of many others in history who were world changers who died far too early in their lives. But God has his reasons and he felt that their work here was done, it's not for us to judge why he took them away so soon. We just have to go on believing and loving and making sure that people never forget the precious gems such as Michael Jackson as people like these only come once and we have to try to learn to stop taking them for granted and follow their example.

Geekgirl, I do not go to church either. That does not make us any less a Christian. I worship and pray at home and I read my bible, and I try and treat others the way Jesus would want me too. It's hard, I know.

Hugs!!

Nice, Di. Glad you made it in here. I fail daily at being a Christian too, don't feel bad. And yes, I still sin. I do repent though and try my hardest not to do it again. Jesus forgives and he is there all the time. We just need to call on him. He's only a prayer away.

Wonderfully said.
I'm a christian, I do believe although I do not go to church much. I believe that you do not need to go to church, and it's perfectly alright to pray in private. Though I really should pray more.
Like GeekGirl101, I believe God would've taken Michael because it was his time. We shouldn't hold grudges, but be thankful that Michael was here.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

As I posted before, I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I am Catholic. Anyway, I hear all different religions that Michael was. First he was raised JW, then I heard he converted to Islam. Now a few here are saying he converted to Christianity. Somebody outside this forum who likes Michael's music asked me for a source of Michael's conversion to Christianity, which I don't know. Do you have a source at all that says he converted? Thanks in advance.

I don't not what he source of conversion was

I do not believe he converted to Islam. I am sure he is knowledgeable about the religion though.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

The Bible tells us that God knows how may days we will be here before we are born and he knows the exact numbers of hairs that are on our heads. We all go when it's our turn, sadly, it was MJ's turn, and we all miss him.

My grandmother has been gone 21 years almost and she was very strong in her faith, etc., and she would not want me to hold a grudge with God because he called her home. She suffered so much the last part of her life, and though I miss her so much and I think of her everyday and love her still, I know she finally at peace, in the Lord's presence, and singing his praises there.

Hi Earth Song,
I can't feel peace with Michael being gone because I believe he was murdered. I don't know if the doctor was purposely negligent or not, but I remember reading that $2 million was stolen as he took his last breath. It's just hard to me to really thing it was his time to go.

I respect you're feelings, Michelle!! I really do, dear!!!

I think there was foul play too, so you are not alone there.

Hugs!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Well, let's say: if Jesus was a charismatic, wise man who was trying to give people love and teach people about love and simple share love with them then yes, I blieve in him (believe him). I am just not sure if I believe all stories surrounding him, you know all those wonders etc. You know gossips, time passing by, Bible editions etc... we all had seen how a wondrous story about the fameous person can be created, except in this case those are good stories ;) ;) ;)

but I do believe in loving, wise and charismatic man, as I said before

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I don't believe the bible is filled with stories, it is filled with the truth, and it's God's word. Believing in Jesus and worshipping him has more to do with being nice to others and how he was a caring man. He suffered horrible torment before His death. Was nailed to a cross, died and rose again 3 days later to save me and others from sin. That is not a story to me, it is a fact! No one else went through all of that for me, but Jesus did! He died for me, and he died for you.

Reminder, this is a thread for Christ and His believers. Believe what we believe in to take part in the discussion. I for one, don't like to hear how he was a fairytale, or how the bible is filled with stories. To us, Bible is facts! And so was HE!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Yes, I understand what you are saying. I just ment that you can read the Bible literally or metaphorically... and New Testament it is written 'in stories' from literary point of view. Anyway, I posted in a casual, kind of funny manner, but I ment it with respect. Have a nice evening :waving:

I am okay. I am getting ready for work. I am so glad I have only a 5 hour shift tonight.

HUGS!!!

I hope work goes by fast tonight. I know I hate working at night and I thank God that my bosses don't ask me to work nights(nor weekends now).
