THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds

This voice is from the 80's??
I don't know guys...

But you might be right. We have to see him sing it in the studio on the DVD to be sure it's new... you can't even trust Sony credits on the album.

But I'm not sure it's old, his voice sounds deeper...

Anyway, goosebumps all over, wonderful!
I miss him so much:(

The voice sounds so much to when he sings Love never felt so good.

This is so sick. But at the end, he sounds like the later years

It seems to be a good song, but not amazing. And I don't like his vocals very much here. Remind meof Triumph which isn't one of my favourite albums. Anyway, I want to hear the whole song. :)

I will wait for the entire song until I pass too much judgement - None the less it's always great to hear anything unheard of from Michaell! :)

The vocals are no way from the 80's.
It sounds more like Invincible era, cause after 0:30 reminds me alof of "Cry". And the first line is tooo deep for the 80's voice.

I guess we will have to wait until Sony give us more details about the song (credits) to know for sure.

the same happen with "For All Time" some people say it was from the dangerous era. Then it turns out to be from the Thriller era.

i havent read anything in this thread. cause...
first... i dont want to know what it sounds (sony want to destroy the surprise... too bad sony, not with me ^^)
second... i dont want to get destroyed the feeling you get to hear a "complete" new song
third... i got the point to say... i will not buy this shit "soundtrack" (^^ soundtrack... yeah sure tzzz..), for only one song and some demos. i will get that all for free from the net. and i some months i will buy this 2cd set when its out there for 6-10 euros. I'm not willing to pay 18 euros for one song. eat that u assholes from sony!

Will say it once again: Mike had stated during the Phony hate speech that he was owing Phony 2 0r 3 tracks for the compilation album, the ultimate collection. After which phony cannot release any New or Unreleased material without his approval.

I have a strong feeling that even though Phony claims 2 have unreleased material frm MJ's Vault, they cannot go ahead & release it without the Estate's permission. Think abt it guys, the original masters off the back catalogue goes back to the estate after 2011 (After which the estate may decide to continue working with Phony or move on... only Branca knows). Which leaves Phony with roughly a little more that 2 years to release MJ material. Why wud they then not release new material with just 2 years left, if they cud.

My feeling is that the Esate is giving Phony very limited content to work with. (n if this is the case, then thats the way I personally want it 2 be- release new material with a new company after 2011).

Peter--- thank you for this.

i know nothing about the music industry... so what are the possibilities after 2011?

Hi Mjjfan,

I can vouch that I heard the speech when Mike had said that he owes then 2 or 3 songs for a boz set. After which Sony cannot release New or unreleased material.

There were reports that Mike was of the view that the masters wud revert to him after Invincible. But he later found out that there was a finer clause in the contract which meant that there was still a long way before the masters wud revert to him. Which means that during this time Sony could release old material any which way they want provided that those are old released material. They cannot release New or un-released material without Mikes consent.

Ofcourse, Mike did choose to do limited work with Phony after Number 1s & Ultimate collection, for the release of unreleased material but with very limited new content... an example of this being the Thriller 25 project. With regards to King of Pop & the essential MJ, I (my personal opinion) think that Sony could have do this without MJ's support or approval.

The last update we received was that the masters wud revert to him in 2011. If this is to be true then its upto Brance & Mclain to choose if they want to continue working with sony by drawing up a new contract with them or they decide to move on..

Again my personal opinion is that Brance wud shop around the New material with all possible labels after 2011. My opinion is based on the fact that he did shop around with the 'This is it film rights' with other companies as well, before Sony won that deal by the virtue of the highest bid.

Now with regards to the 2011 time line, unfortunately I think, only Sony &/or the Estate can confirm this.

am i the only one that thinks this is fabulous !

the lyrics, the melody... to me it seems so fitting.... it just works :)

Sounds great!!!
I'm not buying the album for it though.....

Anyone else also thinks this is not Michael during the 80s? But more like after Invincible? His voice is great, no doubt..but it really does not sound like it's from the 80's at all. Could be just me.

It is just you. The song is 100% from the 80s.
