THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds

I'm just not falling into the trap. Mj prob recorded this when he was with Sony it's in THEIR vaults and being used for THEIR movie. I don't have to love everything and frankly this demo ish is a nice to have but the studio album is where it's at.

This is a song being used for a blood movie, the quality is awful and I'm not into it. Been here way to long to be bullied by people who will cream themselves over anything Sony put out. Yall sooo about Michael, wonder how he would feel or gee I dunno why he didn't redo this song for the concert? Cmon. It's plain to see.

By all means enjoy it as a demo but IMHO the CONTEXT the world is putting this song into is off the mark.

I know everyone's complaining but be thankful for this new song.
I personally think it's really wonderful. It's a tad on the repetitive side and I feel in completed form Michael would have taken a different direction for a bit of the song (what's that called? For example in Off The Wall where there's a verse which finished in 'and party all right through the night, alright". Not sure the technical name for it but yeah. Michael's voice is just lovely on here and I think the background vocals from the Jacksons compliment it nicely. Just a generally lovely song to listen to.

Also a lot of you are forgetting that Michael is singing the 'This Is It' song in the movie! Would Michael not have sung the full version of the song in rehearsals and whatnot? It's very likely that this is the case - and that this is very similar to the final version. I've seen in some press releases the song was meant to be a suprise at the end of the concert for fans.

Some of you are claiming Sony has just taken a song with the words 'this is it' in there and claimed this is the real song. Pretty silly considering millions around the world will see the actual song being performed in 16 days time.

Come on, who releases a demo - old or new?

Not surprisingly, there are people out there making comments like "if this is the best he could come up with, I'm glad he's not making music anymore." Ignore them, I know...and I will - but I can't help getting annoyed.

With all that said, I'm enjoying Michael's voice.

I can't tell you all how to feel about things but hey I look at it like this.....
From now on we are only going to be getting stuff from his vault that may not be "up to par" as far as MJ's standards... So I guess we will all be complaining from here on out...
So none of his vocals will be "new", they will all be dated...

lol@MsPYT1, I agree with your post...
*sigh* here we go again....

Do many of you not like it cuz it's a ballad and not a fast song?

I'd like to comment but I'll get *sighed* on again by you guys.
Goodnight anyway.

is it ntrue that MJ performed this song on the This is It Rehearsals ?

OK, OK, I'll keep quiet.

There's no need to keep quiet. If you have something to say please do, I'd like to hear it. I, too, think that releasing a demo is stupid. Especially since it's been promoted as something brand new etc. It's an okay song, but the quality isn't good and there's even some mumbling.

I can't believe they've released a demo and kept the Orchestral Version for the album... whose idea was that? The version we've heard today would be great as an extra demo for CD2, but it will not sound right following on from the high-quality and remastered Album versions of his hits (or by being followed by a remixed adaptation of the same song)...

TII was remixed within the last couple of months yet the version they release to radio is clearly not a product of 2009. I too can hear the "mumbling" in the background and can't believe they left the "1, 2, 3, 4" count in the radio version... bad choice Sony.

I haven't had the chance to hear the full song yet, but if there is indeed mumbling that can be heard in the background, that's terrible.

Am I the only one that thinks the Jacksons vocals are hot?

More whining from fans, awesome.

I would have thought that maybe, just maybe, after his death people would have stopped to realize it wasn't about them but I guess I'm wrong.

Boo hoo, we're all losers today. Wah.

I totally agree. This is a demo, what do you guys expect? I personally think it is HOT but what do I know. You guys need to stop complaining about how you didn't like the song and appreciate everything that Michael does.

I heard the 3 different versions already :) The other versions are slightly better if you ask me :)

The strange thing is the increase (jump) in volume at around 8 seconds though!

And yes, I think the Jacksons background vocals are very nice too!

I like it. I wish it wasnt released because of the title. There are probably much better songs than this one and it was only released for its title.

I like it for the content but not for the reason under why it was released :coffee:

Yepp they sound awesome!! Better than the background vocals on tracks like Heaven Can Wait and Break of Dawn. In the End the brothers voices fit perfect to Michaels!

There's also an extended orchestral version that's about 1 minute longer! Somewhere in the 4:40's range!

So there are 3 version??

The short orchestral version with have heard

Than the long orchestral version and the original demo with just his voice and piano?

Yes, the regular version is with piano :)
