This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread [ Merged ]

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

Thank you xthunderx. All people who might question why follower fans didn't do more before he died....do you think we are not blaming ourselves enough? Do you think we don't have nightmares and panic attacks over it? Do you think we're not reliving those moments and torturing ourselves, praying that we could turn back time?
But do you also think, that if we knew more, if we were LET to see more earlier, we wouldn't have moved mountains? I'm not talking about just talking on fan boards, but actually doing something, taking action, going to the police, family, press, making a big fuss, whatever it took to save him? Follower fans just saw bits and pieces, most of the time seeing him just in the car, not being allowed in June to get near him, talk to him, etc...how on earth could they see the whole picture?
When they finally saw enough and got scared that Michael WILL DIE, a plan was swiftly put in place, all united..but we were just late...we only got to step 1, namely giving Michael the letters...that's it...then horror and sadness...

oh come on, Cris, you're breaking my heart by saying that :( You girls, shouldn't blame yourselves. You organize TINI. We will fight now and we will fight later. UNTIL THE END. All together.

For me TINI is just a begining of the fight, the very first step as it grasps only the surface of what happened. Let's start from the step 1.
Love you all

It is very interesting that these follower-fans are being attacked for simply telling their story. I think they are brave and heroic and deserve praise. I know Michael is smiling down at you all from heaven & is proud that you all are fighting the good fight for him. He called his fans his "Army of Love" for reason!

You guys do what you have to do... you will unfortunately come across haters and those who wish to stop you. But don't give up. Shaken but not Shattered! No matter what's going on around you, you have the truth on your side. God Bless you all.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

This site was very insightful. I believe what the fans are saying about MJ not being in shape for it, physically and emotionally. I will have a critical eye when I watch the movie. What boggles me is why MJ wore several articles of clothing to rehearsals? Did he decide to do that/ did someone suggest it to him? Someone/ MJ himself must have realized he was looking really skinny.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

It could have been because he was cold. I have read that he would complain of cold.

He was cold from all the drugs they were pumping him in order to keep him going, and he wanted to hide his skeletal figure (sorry). And those are facts, from insiders and followers.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

I'm also disappointed that fans are much more interested in discussing and anticipating the TII movie, or having fun in the Manhood threads, rather than fighting for Michael, for the truth, and getting organized at least to hand out flyers at movie premieres.

Yes, Michael would want his fans to enjoy him and his legacy (although the movie is not his best legacy for sure, the concerts would have been if they had happened and he had been healthy), but michael would also want JUSTICE for him, and HELP from his fans, HIS ARMY OF LOVE. Where is this army? Has everybody deserted him? Just like before he died, indirectly causing his death?

I'm sorry but I'm hurting so much. Michael died YOUNG, and the culprits are getting away, and the fans are just standing by, cheering them

Cris123, chin up, come on...
People unfortunately make judgements before they even do the research and find out what the campain is all about. Most think it's about boycotting the movie.

I do believe though that we all love Michael here, and regardless of whether we support TINI campain or the movie, I believe that we are all keeping Michael's legacy alive in our own way.

Big hugs to you - and keep fighting!
You've done all you could for him, and still doing your best now.
That's what's bothering me so much! :( Everytime I'm trying to tell people about the campaign through posting the statement and stuff, they delete it very quick because they think it's negative towards Michael!!!
I think it's maybe because the whole campaign is ofcourse not quite positive, and maybe it overcomes a bit provoking or something? Don't know exactly..but for some reason everyone thinks it's hatred towards him.
Someone studying marketing or anything, maybe should find out what's the problem in the campaign and how it could be promoted better!?

I think you've said it well, people have to deal with this in their own way.

OK maybe I can help... I'm going to be honest here so please, no one attack me. When I first read the testimonies and saw the idea of the campaign, I was very much in support of it. But since then, I really feel (and this is most obvious in the facebook group) that the campaign has been hijacked by overly-emotional people who just want to prove murder.
Now, I want the truth, for Michael, for his family, for justice. I fully support the motivations of the fans who have started this campaign, I really do. But I feel the campaign has been put off course and has turned into a lot of people boycotting the movie. I want to see the movie because it's my way of connecting with Michael's final dream, what he wanted to show the world. I have no doubt that if it wasn't for the shows, he would still be here, and that breaks my heart. But I NEED to see this, to see the master at work, to see what he was putting his heart into for all of us and for his kids.
I'm also not convinced that he was killed intentionally. Yes,I do think they neglected him, they didn't help him, they pushed him way too hard, and that is inexcusable and they need to be held responsible, but I don't think that proves that he was murdered. This is just my opinion. Again, I do want the truth, but I want to support this campaign with an open mind, and not feel like I'm part of a mob.
Please, please don't take this the wrong way. I guess I just got turned off it because in the facebook group, when I said that the version of the trailer they made had gone too far, I was attacked. That trailer to me, paints Michael as pathetic, and I don't believe he ever was. He had weaknesses, yes, and he was manipulated, but I think that trailer is a disrespect towards him and all that he was working for. And when I saw that any comments that disagreed with anything to do with the campaign were being deleted, I decided I didn't like their approach.
So, maybe that can shed some light on why the campaign has had a negative reaction. I want to help find the truth, and I love and support all who are working for that, but I want to do it a) with an open mind, not already claiming some people are murderers b) in a way that respects Michael and c) in a way that still manages to celebrate the effort and love he put into TII.
Again, I want to say that you guys, the follower fans, have nothing but respect from me. It's the other people who have joined the campaign and started boycotting the movie that I disagree with.
And again, this is my personal opinion.
Love to all
xxx
OK sorry for the essay!

Well what almost kept me from reading the site was the name of it "This-is-not-it". It can be misinterpreted in so many negative ways. I thought it just people complaining about wanting more of MJ's music released, then before I read the fan stories I thought it was just people boycotting the movie. I really understood the campaign when I read the fan stories. Maybe get better flyers- like a magnifying glass on MJ and bold text saying "This Is it"- closer view by the fans around MJ in his last days. Be more subtle with what you are saying, you know how so many people are hypersensitive about anything they conceive as negative towards MJ.

Or just get a flyer of what a fan wrote on the site about MJ in his last days. They'll read more if they think it's insider information about MJ.

ETA: Great essay Neeve!

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

@Neeve: Same here! I think the promotion is a bit overheated and there should be some slight changes in order to let as many people as possible get the truth out there. It's a very clear statement they made, but it's also very very hard and the video and stuff indeed is quite provoking and overwhelming. I understand it's a thing to get very angry about, but that angryness is very much leading the campaign.....that's not good. :ermm:
It would earn a lot more effort if it was more understandable and not that type of action like 'in your face'. I don't know how to explain it actually, sorry if I'm using the wrong words...English isn't my 1st language.
I'm still following this campaign, but it's hard to really mean something since there's not so much I can do. All I get is negative reactions from people that think the campaign wants to boycott MJ or the movie.

@tarah86: Yeah that's exactly what I meant!:yes:

Well said. No, you're expressing yourself fine!! I understand exactly what you mean.
And the bolded part, I feel the same way; I'm unsure as to how I can directly help. But maybe all we can do is support those who are more closely connected with it.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

You know what question came to my mind today?

If Murray would have told Michael "don't worry, even if your heart stops beating, I won't wait longer than half an hour 'til I call an ambulance" - would Michael have hired him?

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

Lies run sprints and truth run marathon - Michael Jackosn

We all know the hype for the movie and the fans ignorance towards This is NOT it campaign.
All these fans who ignore what they going to do when the movie hype ends. Then these TII fans may (only may) see the truth which will still be running marathon.
I guess it is all too much for TII fans to spend 'time' to do research and find out the truth. If they don't see it, sadly they are not part of the solution.

Thanks girls for the feedback, I'll relay it onto the admins of tini

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

Neeve, tarah86, Mrs. Music - Yes, yes, yes, to everything you said. That is exactly how I feel too. I'm for all for intelligent and informed campaigning, but I feel most of the people (followers and campaign starters excluded) are just rallying loudly because Michael is gone. That won't get anything accomplished.

Thanks for understanding! I really hope we'll get the truth out there, it's with the best intentions.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

I believe the follower fans-what they say is what they saw- a thin man who was stressed out and who was drugged up every night by a henious Dr.
I will go and see the movie-this does not mean that I think that EVERYONE around Michael at the time should be throughly investigated.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

I downloaded the flier and I WILL pass them out at the cinema I will be attending on oct 28th....I want to see Michael's vision so badly..however I want to know the truth too...Idont know if I will make it through the movie.

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

Watching the This-is-not-it trailer and reading the follower fans testimonies is extremely painful and heartbreaking. I think one reason why so many fans choose to close their eyes for the truth is because the truth is too painful. It is much easier (to cope) thinking that Michael was having a good time, enjoying rehearsing for his 50 shows, feeling good and being in good shape both emotionally and physically before his death. Even though it´s obvious he wasn´t feeling good. It hurts me so much to think of all the struggles that he went through. :(

But the truth needs to come out. I believe the testimonies of the follower fans and I think they deserve our respect and support. Michael´s death has been traumatic and heartbreaking for all of us and we all have our own ways of dealing with it. I can´t even imagine how traumatic and heartbreaking the death of Michael must have been for the follower fans who saw Michael every day and knew that something was wrong and that he needed help, tried to help but could not. But I am so thankful that they managed to give Michael their letters and letting him know he was loved (on behalf of all of us) before he died. I try to find some comfort in knowing this.
Hugs to all!

Re: This-Is-Not-It Campaign- Real Thread

I think the footage/trailers/clips from THIS IS IT! has shown Michael in good condition. I never understand the fans that are shocked by his weight. I don't remember Michael ever being bigger than that. I am ready to see the movie already.
