Will the Dr Conrad Murray trial turn into a Michael Jackson like trial?

I am not convinced there will be a trial, if his lawyers are talking a plea bargin, they might negotiate him pleading guilty to manslaughter in return for a non custodial sentence. LA authorities complained about the cost of the memorial, they might want to save the cost of a trial and wrap this up with the least amount of cost, man hours and scrutiny on their investigation. It would not surprise me, given what we have seen so far. If they are so unprofessional that they are leaking information to some tacky tabloid website - TMZ can they really be trusted to ensure Michael gets justice?

The governor said he wanted to come down hard on these quacks after the Anna Nicol death, it is time he showed more than lip service, maybe he is the one we should all flood with complaints about the way this has been handled.

I so AGREE!! yes, lets let Arnie hear it!

Arnold knew Michael a little bit I believe? Perhaps sending letters to him will get things rolling.

Even w/the courtroom full of MJ fans, it would not turn into "people becoming silly" or the courtroom turning into a circus bec. there will be baliff's there to closely watch everyone and remove anyone before it even gets to that point. Most definitely there should be hundreds if not thousands of fans outside and as many inside as the courtroom can accomodate.
IT'S ALL FOR LOVE

I know what you're saying, but fans have been known to have had restraining orders against them, so... And with thousands of fans, as you're saying, lets hope there's enough police an bailiffs to keep order.
I have visions of utter chaos and mayhem happening... Haven't decided yet whether that's a good thing or not. Just worried about the fans, couldn't care less about anyone else.

Also, this just came to mind... If the fans are too harsh about Murray and the jurors see it, that might make them sympathetic to the defendant. I sincerily hope it's not gonna be the case. Another reason to stay sane. Justice for Michael!

I don't think any members of the public should be allowed in the courtroom. We don't need Conrad Murray being assassinated before the trial is over.

The good thing is that in this day and age with YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, you don't need to be there to really be there. The updating techniques are even better than in 2005.

I would LOVE to be there, though. Too bad I'm on the other side of the country and I don't have any money whatsoever. :(

That was my thought. I feel if it is disorderly or disturbing in any way it will be shown on the news and the fans will make it look like they are a vigilante team out for blood.

I agree fans should be there but it needs to be a solidarity thing. Not to cause trouble. It will backfire I think.

Okay, so us fans will be there in solidarity, with our MJ support signs, shouting Michael's name.

I don't think that will be any trouble. And it certainly won't look chaotic if we do just that.

I was thinking, some could even join in a big circle and pray.

Yesssss!
This needs to be about justice being done and truth coming out, not about shouting 'murderer' and getting in trouble. Emotions run high, but I hope we can do it.

Exactly what we're saying, kasume. Be there for Michael, for justice, for truth.
And I will be there with every single one of you in my heart. Just don't muck about like some back in 2005 did, because that gets us nowhere.

I do NOT think it will "backfire." I think the fans are perfectly capable of behaving with decorum. I give fans a lot of credit. They KNOW what is at stake. Fans "represented" during the trial. Do not underestimate the intelligence, or the LOVE.

there will most definetly be a trial. This is a huge case and the whole world is watching. i hate to compare but it will be even bigger then the O.j. Simpson trial back in 95.I would give anything to be at the court house with all the fans supporting our dear Michael and getting the justice he deserves. I will be there in spirit thats for sure and i hope that murray gets a harsher charge and if not we the fans and michael's family for sure will fight for a harsher charge and more years in prison. i think he should get life in prison for what he did. if the man who shot and killed John Lennon can get a life sentence then the man who killed Michael Jackson should get life as well.

Victoria, not ALL fans, and you know it. You've seen it. We all did back in 2005. I don't want to name names. I'm worried.

Then fans will just have to rise to the occasion, for Michael. I have a LOT of faith in humanity, and in Michael's fans. Please don't be turned off by those who would try to get fans NOT to come? It's a "strategy," ok? Do NOT let "them" win. This is important, and it CAN be done. It would be to Murray's advantage for fans NOT to come, or for fans to behave badly. Let's not let him win in that regard, ok?

aww, hun, yeah, we'd all like that. Murray killed Michael, who to many of us feels like a family member. but it all boils down to the evidence in the courtroom. what the prosecutors can prove. Lennon's case was a little different.
it's hard to look at things objectively when it's someone you love, but we gotta try.

Vic, that's not me. I HOPE AND PRAY that many fans are there. I'm just worried because I know how my own emotions are right now, and in a crowd of so many like-minded people, sometimes people fuel each other and things get out of control. Ppl do things they might have not done if there weren't other people who think the same around.

I'm all for going. I would have, if I was in the US. I'm just worried it's going to turn into a circus and divert everyone's attention from what's truly important, and what horrifies me the most - make the jurors sympathetic to Murray.

Again you jump on my post. Its a thing with you. WHY? Do you have a problem with truth?

I stated clearly that causing an UPROAR and making it look like a bunch of crazy fans would backfire and it would in my opinion. They would end up in the news as crazy Michael Jackson fans and nutters.

It needs to be calm and cool and then it will be more of an impact. That is what I said and that is what I meant. I don't need you to correct every post I write here. Thanksalot.

Beachlover, Victoria is right. We need to have faith in Michael's fans.

And I believe Michael needs more support than ever. Like I said before, back in 2005, Michael was accused, this time Michael was killed (and I believe murdered).

Re: Will the Dr Conrand Murray trial turn into a Michael Jackson like trial?

I wish I could be there, it all depends on from when till when it will take place. I am in my senior year at high school right now, as much as I would like to show my support, I cannot miss any exams.

I wish I could be there, I don't like the idea of being there in ''spirit''. Not for me, I've done that during the 2005 trial and almost cannot live with myself out of guilt anymore. I need to be there mentally and physically to support Michael, I don't care how much air tickets are going cost me, I don't care if I need to sleep on the streets, I just want to be there to fight for Michael. I cannot let this man walk away like he is innocent, there is blood on his hands.

He not only murdered MJ, he murdered thousands of other people emotionally. Millions of people are in pain and a lot of them lost their lust for life. What about all of those fans who took there own life? What about three children growing up without there dad?
None of this should have happened.

When I am standing there, I am not just standing there for Mike. I am standing there on behalf of all those people who are in pain, because of this man!

It's sad, because I really wanted to be there during the 2005 trials. Even tough things were extremely hard emotionally for all of us, you could at least tell him directly that you were there for him and loved him in his face. Even if it would just be a ''MICHAEL I LOVE YOU'', he would at least hear it and maybe look you in the eye or something to let you know that he knows.

Now that I do have the chance to stand up for him, he is not here anymore to actknowledge it.

Well said. I agree with you. If it will be a trial I want to be there too and protest if needed.
If I will not go I will feel guilty. This is the last thing I can do for Michael.

In Our Darkest Hour
In My Deepest Despair
Will You Still Care?
Will You Be There?
In My Trials
And My Tripulations
Through Our Doubts
And Frustrations...

To be quiet and peaceful doesn't mean not to be there or inviting pp not to be there,we have to be strong and numerous but also smarter than "them".
Anyway I would be happy to have a strong representation by other fans like in the 2005 trial, since many of us live in other sides of the world,I'm grateful for that.

what gets me really upset is that is not Dr Murray that is going to trail...is our poor Mikey...

I think it should be a long chain of fans with big pictures of Blanket, Prince and Paris and Michael, those pictures from when they were so very happy together and those from now. And we the fans saying absolutely nothing... completely silent.

Says it all.

That sounds like the best thing I have heard.

I think a large group of people dressed in black just giving a slow handclap would be more intimidating that people screaming abuse.

yes.at the end they are the ones who lost the most.
it's powerful and respectuf.

Mechi, that is a GREAT idea. And you no what's better? Including pictures of all four of them in those last months.

But I'm not sure if the silence part would be able to happen.

And if some do bring photos, I hope someone brings this one. (one of my favorites) :)

... well I think the more silent the more powerfull.

Thank you for liking the idea... and yes I mean pictures of them together. Just holding them up.

Supporting justice for Michael AND supporting the children.

Yes I love your fav pic also and there's many more without veils all over the internet... although I've always supported Michael in protecting them... now I want the Murray guy and the media and the world to look into these eyes... well everybody can find them online so it should be easily possible.

My favorite is the one with Michael and Paris and Prince doing that scene from the Charlie Chaplin movie the kid... I absolutely love it.
It's in one of the memorial magazines I bought after his death... I just hope it's not stolen... but it's so beautiful.

^^ If that silence can work, and will make our support more powerful, I have no problem with that.

Still, I want to see a few of those 'murder' signs, so they can know that we KNOW the truth. Because someone needs to bring the truth up.
