I vote yes MJ did a lot of songs that he didn’t want to do if you really listen to the song you can tell h was trying to do what we hear on the radio in today’s music all they did was enhance his vocals over his vocals put sorry ass auto tunes over it sounds like he struggling to sang the song especially certain parts of the tracks like it’s a demo reasons why because my brother is a song writer and he produce music those expensive engineer equipment that is often use on a laptop can over write an artist voice. So once again poor MJ just like they did with his song "this is it" even thro that song was finish they inhance MJ double his voice for his background vocals you don't need the artist to complete songs all u need his them to sang parts of the songs an a producer goes in and cop the song up

deano, strictly objectively speaking: you say that a number of family members and an ex-Sony exec denying it's MJ on this track is not good evidence, but how is a claim by Sony saying that audio experts looked at it any better? Unless they leaked the actual document, I don't see how this type of evidence is any more reliable. It's not like they are an objective party in all of this.

Sony released the information to the world - after pressure from the Jackson family - and Teddy Riley was there when it happened. That's good enough for me.

The fact that some of the Jackson family want to ignore the evidence (evidence provided by independent music experts) is neither here nor there.

The fact that people who once loved Teddy Riley are now slagging him off on his own Twitter account (because he won't agree to their agenda) is neither here nor there.

I'm not a young person, prone to flashes of impulse and conditioned to 'go with the flow'. I'm an individual who likes to examine the evidence and add a large dose of 'what makes sense'.

Therefor, I don't hold with conspiracy theories that fly in the face of 'sense' and evidence. It makes absolutley no sense for Sony to try and destroy Michael's legacy - not now anyway.

Having been a fan of MJ/J5 since 1970, I can 'feel' and hear Michael in this song. Not 100% of the vocals are his - some have been added/enhanced after his death - but there is enough of him there for me to love it. But then, as I love much more than I hate, it is easier for me to pick to positive from the negative - especially when it comes to Michael Joseph Jackson.

I've only listened to Breaking News once and i gotta say that it hasn't really got stuck in my head. It's a very forgettable song, but I can't get that 40 second clip of Do You Know Where Your Children are out of my head. That song is much better

trying to zoom out a bit. what i'm seeing is that, regradless to whether fake or not, no one says that this track contains great singing...even those who are convinced that it's michael don't say that it's the great vocals that make them enjoy the song. why is that??

even if it's the real deal here, i expect the company to honour their late artist by choosing the best material, and that, of course, includes the vocals as well. the overall production here is arguable. the singing does not fit michael jackson standards for official release. it's either fake or poorly recorded demo that got heavyly filtered. none of that sould be released.

does anyone think that breaking news contains great singing? this is not a rhetorical question. i'd really like to know.

Well, it's no 'Keep The Faith' but I think the singing fits the subject matter and the style of the song. The vocals aren't bad. Just very different from what we are used to hearing from him.

And, continuing your zooming out approach and NOT focusing on whether it is or is not MJ, in my opinion it sounds less modified/produced than Shout and 2000 Watts do.

only one person posted a youtube link claiming that it was men in black. but it was a link to a video which was removed by sony. so no proof of if it was really men in black.

I personally believe it's Michael's voice and I think that phrase is very telling and it means that even though Michael is gone there's still a lot he can share with us and surprise us.

For the record: a lot of people thought 2000 Watts sounded funny, and it wasn't until the original engineer explained what they did that people all agreed it was mike.

and i'll admit, I thought the voice sounded funny but I just thought it was mike's voice processed. the engineer confirmed it was mike singing in a lower register we weren't used to.

im not sure that's what we're hearing on Breaking News...

I'm not saying they're lying but something is fishy here guys. And of all the tracks to pick, why this one? When we know Place with No Name, Hold My Hand, Another Day are all CLEARLY michael's vocals. So why not just post one of those? It just seems like such an odd choice.

That said, vocals aside, the production is fantastic and the track is catchy as hell. It's just unfortunate that it doesn't sound like mike.

I love 2000 watts, though I remember when I heard it for the first time, I thought it sounded like Michael had cotton wool in his cheeks whilst singing!

They release a UNFINISHED & UNRELEASED SONG from MJ and gave the song a new Jacket, they added effects and finished the song. They release it this to TEST US.
