Official Statement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I think that has to be what it is. It's just like with anything. If someone's told a lie over and over and over again, a small part of them starts to believe it even though they know it's not true. And it's just like when someone hates a movie or a song but when they're exposed to it enough it grows on them. Or (I know this is extreme but you get the point) when someone is kidnapped, after a while a part of their brain starts becoming attached to their abductor (horrible, I know...and sad). It's all psychological.

I get you. I think some people are trying to convince themselves.

A little bit of both you can definitely hear michael's voice more!!

OK. Is the tone of his voice still the same or different, and is the Michael's voice overpowering the impersonator or still the same?

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I have always believed that the song is Michael. From the very first listening on monday morning right up until now, with and without all of the statements, reports, tweets and posts... for me, it is Michael in the majority of the song. Sure, I can hear that Michael doesn't sing the background and I can hear where they have copied and pasted various oooohs and aaaaahs.... but one thing confuses me....

I have listened to the song in various formats and over various stages of the week at Michaeljackson.com in the UK, US, and france... and I can't hear anything different in the mix from any part of the week. Is there a download anywhere of the 2 different mixes/versions of the song? And could somebody please PM me with it if it exists.

Many thanks in advance.... with the L.O.V.E x

I find myself enjoying the song more and it does sound more like Michael Jackson, although I still can hear the impostor singing backup on the "Michael Jackson" parts. …

I thought that the estate in the statement admitted that yes, there is somebody singing additional vocal on the track? With the L.O.V.E. x

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

when will Sony announce the track list?

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Well Dorian Holley says its Michael's voice, but the estate said its Michael and another guy. Then which parts of the song is Dorian saying is Michael. You see that is the problem I have. These guys are saying its Michael, but which part and how much of it is. They need to be more specific and I want to hear from people who explain themselves more. No more cryptic responses. At this point such cryptic responses are useless. I want more substantive responses. Is it too much to ask.

On Vibrato... sure, Michael's sounds a lot softer on the example in the video and your right, the vibrato does sound VERY similar to that of JM in the Breaking news clip... and at the end of the video it asks "have you ever heard Michael sing vibrato like breaking news"... No I haven't...

...But isn't it widely accepted that the "vibrato" on breaking news COULD have been added during TR's "finishing" of the song? With some kind of computer program? Thanks for letting me listen though!

Dorian says it..................

Says what?
... is all a load of bollocks.

God that was mature of me. See what I've been reduced to? I used to put together convincing arguments as to why it's not MJ on the track. Now I just talk about MJ doing a poo and swear. I've lost the will to live.

It's not MJ singing on that track though. Pop it on my grave stone.

Why is Dorian referring to himself in the 3rd person? Can anyone confirm if that's really his page and its run by him?

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Is Dorian the bald-headed guy that was singing in TII?

He is indeed. He worked with MJ all the way from the Bad Tour to This is It I think.

I think I have this right... if you listen to any of the Acapella versions of this song (some are clearer than others) You will hear only the parts that Michael is singing on and that a substantial part of the lyric from the original is missing from the Acapella. For example, on the lyric "Michael Jackson", you can hear only Michael's part and not the over dubbing added by the other singer.

Hope this helps???

It's almost as mature as referring to yourself in third person

I kid I kid..

You 're welcome! I figured you might not have heard that.

I don't see a reason why somebody would do that to Michael Jackson's vocals, messing with his vibrato that is. Michael Jackson was an excellent vocalist.

Besides you see from the video how much vibratos match to this Malachi guy

Ha, Ha, thanks for the laugh. I needed it. I myself stayed home today because it is a holiday and I have been on the computer for 5 hours. This situation is making every one act out of character. In fact since Monday morning I have been addicted to the computer.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

The fact that they can't even get Stuart Brawley's name right in the message tells me how much "attention" they pay into DETAILS.....

I don't care how MANY times people tell me it's MJ...it won't change the FACT that MJ doesn't sound like MJ on "Breaking News". And as long as it doesn't sound like him obviously SOMETHING needs to be done. If everyone heard the DEMO and had no doubts it's MJ, then obviously something happened while Teddy Riley was in the studio. So if it IS Michael's vocals on the demo, it should not be that hard to go BACK to the studio and mix the song again (or do whatever you gotta do) to get it right. Or if you can't do that...then leave the song out. That simple. Like I said on Twitter, remember that Michael was completely unhappy with Thriller when he first heard it...but he went back to the studio and mixed it all again to get it right and came out with a masterpiece.

Michael was a PERFECTIONIST. His music is his legacy. Michael is not here anymore to tell anyone how he wants any of the songs to sound. But don't you all think that the ONE thing we can be SURE he would have wanted, would have been that the songs with his name on sound like HIM??!! That is the ONE thing we can be SURE of!! MJ would have never been fine with "oh it sounds close enough". You KNOW that!! Don't we own at least THAT to him?? I care about Michael and I care about his legacy and all I am asking for is that if it is MJ singing that song (like they are all so sure of) that they GO BACK TO THE STUDIO to GET IT RIGHT. If they have MJ's vocals on the demo, it shouldn't be that difficult to do. Instead of wasting time with forensic musicologists and what not...they should make an effort to GET IT RIGHT. And if it can't be done..then DON'T PUT THAT SONG ON THE ALBUM!!! Tha simple!! If we have to be TOLD it is Michael Jackson singing the song, obviously SOMETHING is wrong. Like someone said on Twitter..if you can't HEAR it's MJ on the song, the song DON'T belong on a Michael Jackson album!! Period!! I don't need a forensic musicologist to tell me it's MJ when I have EARS myself!! I mean, what's next? We get a video where the person on it looks like Navi...and theywill tell us "no that is really MJ"...

Excellent post, and I agree. Get it Right.

LTD, thanks for the Dorian information.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Why? Why make this a mission?

Better struggle for Murray trial, for truth about allegations... there are plenty of haters out there...

And for those saying those songs are weak, the same happened with Invincible... Mike lost tones of self esteem because of this.... Those are weak for YOU ONLY.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the appreciation of art is mainly subjective.

:clapping: I couldn't agree more.

Dorian Holley that's mj singing.

Dorian Holley dude. it was a demo. when yre making a demo yre not PERFORMING. yre feeling yre way. a demo is for reference purposes. like some of the vocals in THIS IT IT.

Dorian Holley it's mj

Can you ask him when did he hear it and which parts are Michael? I heard demos from Michael before and he sounds like himself.

This is my problem: There are orange juice products which the manufactures call orange juice. When you look at the label you see a lot of ingredients and they have a higher percentage than the orange in the bottle. I do not call these things orange juice, but orange flavored juice. Notice the difference, so I want a Michael Jackson song.

They did say that Jason Porte added backup vocals, but originally I thought the lead vocals were an impostor. The funny thing is that I was one of the fans that thought Jason Malachi was Michael Jackson when his music was first put on YouTube, but on BN I knew instantly it wasn't Michael…

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

No offence, but that has to be one of the most pathetic attempts to convince people it's Michael I've read in a while. Almost as pathetic as some fans saying the kids can't possible say it's not Michael, because they are only kids and not recording authentication experts.

Lmao.

Yes, it does make a difference. Do you want someone to operate on you who has just read a lot of books on surgery or do you want someone who has experience and knows what they are doing? Forensic wave analysis is not guess work. They know what they are doing. I don't care if they are Michael's kids, that does not mean they would know for certain it's him singing if they changed his voice with production. Especially since children are easily influenced, and people can be susceptible to what others are saying. Also, do we have actual proof that the children did not think it was him? Or was it just a rumor from one of the other Jacksons?

I'm sorry but I'm not friend with Mr. Holley on facebook yet. I've just asked his friendship though. I'll let you know.

Yes they said that, but to me Jason is not only in the back up he is taking over the song, so why hide Michael in his own song? It makes no sense to me. They need to admit that the song needs more work and take it back to the drawing board. I would like to see a concert on the CD rather than the Cascio tracks.
