well, i won a contest that the 5 fans who win it, we would win a trip to go to the Sony headquarters to listen the album before he went out, and we could ask all the questions we wanted...

so first - for the "Michael" cd there will be 2 version: 1 is the normal standart version that will be released on monday 13th, and another cardboard version( like the Number ones version) that is going to be released on 2011 and its less expensive ( i allready seen both).

Second - I asked if theres still alot of songs to be released in the future, and they said that theres no much more material in the posession of Sony Music, theres some but no much more.

third - i asked if they will release any of Michael Jackson concerts, especially the Bad Tour 1988 in London ( Wembley), and they said no, that there was no way on releasing that, and that they dont have it in their possession, the estate owns all of that, they said what they have is the Dangerous Tour in Bucharest 92, and HIStory Tour Munich 97 on their archives, and maybe in some years they released the dangerous tour bucharest on Bluray... but not new stuff cause they dont have it.

we talked about alot of things, but im not going to write all here, if you have any question, you can ask here, maybe i talked about that and i have the answer for you...

Thanks for posting.. Sad that we won't see the Bad tour in HQ

I find that hard to beleive, "they dont have much more material left"

Whats this cardboard version of the album going to be like? Just a collectors edition of the same album or are they adding a few new songs onto it?

I'm gutted about the 'Bad Tour' not going to DVD - we must pressure The Estate to get it released!

Yes I find that hard to believe as well. Surely they have some sort of deal with the Estate, I dont think they'd be saying they dont have much more left.

Bruno, when are you going to upload Dangerous Tour Sao Paulo?

Sony does not have the rights to most of michael's stuffs. The estate have those rights ,Sony just have the distribution rights and the estate determines what's to be released,Am sure Bad would be released in future.

^ It's coming to DVD. I can assure you that.

And contrary to what was said here, there are literally dozens of songs in the vault that will trickle out over the coming years.

I think it is a matter of Sony not having that much left. But I think the Estate has much more left. So I think it will be a matter of pushing the Estate to get the things we want. Sony does not own and is not in possession of MJ materials. They belonged to MJ and now belong to his Estate.
Hopefully that is the meaning as that will be best. Now we just have to get the Estate to take an interest in us and release what we want.

I think it means the estate or producers own that stuff. So they just need to probably make an album deal for every possible album separately. I think it's just good news. If it's like that Sony can't release just whatever..

I bet that cardboard deluxe edition will be like some deluxe edition such as the Slash album. Yet that was worth it having 14 new songs and a live DVD - now that was worth the wait.

Let's see if this one has the same sort of thing with a DVD of sorts, a better cover and more bonus tracks. If it's a reasonable amount it might be worth picking up then. See, Sony can fix their mistakes if they're smart and get sales from those who at this point refuse to buy it.

Well, we all knew Sony doesn't have any live footage and doesn't have the rights to release any thing. So don't let "there was no way on releasing that" about the Bad tour confuse you. And as SC05 says it's coming soon And I belive him.
"nothing more left". they have what Michael gave them as alternative material from the recording sessions when he was under contract with sony. And he didn't gave them much.

the new deal is about releasing what the estate gives to sony and not what sony wants to release.

So nothing new and nothing to be upset about.

from Sony its not coming for sure, cause they said to me its not commercially rentable, and they dont have it, the estate has, and they said the the estate is really strickt!!! and thee can be dozens of songs, but not in sony vault... maybe in the estate vault, im telling you what Sony Music directors told us in person yesterday...

no, that cardboard is a very simple version of the cd, its like the number ones, and it doesnt have any extra song or nothing, and its not going to be released in all countries, only on the most (poor) countries, so people with less money can buy it. i had it in my hands yesterday... so i know its very simple, there not even the booklet inside...

Of course that Sony don't have the songs, but The Estate has them all in their vaults.

If it's true it's pretty sad.

What was then the talk about lots of unreleased material left?

And more importantly: I just can't believe they won't and can't release a Bad Tour DVD! Sorry, but I don't believe that. If true it would be highly disappointing! That's what all the fan community is looking forward the most!

Michael kept all his songs and footage in his own vaults, so of course that Sony don't have all that material.. but it will come out when Estate decide to do that. Don't worry..

What? They think releasing a Bad Tour DVD wouldn't be worth commercially? Where do these people live?

IMO it would be a big success. Most fans would buy it and Michael's fan base is not small. I don't care if it will be released by Sony or another record company. Just release it at last!

and maybe in some years they released the dangerous tour bucharest on Bluray...

Well then these people A. must not know what they are talking about "technical" wise or B.
they want to scam people out of money with a crappy upconvert.

Bucharest was recorded on 1992 era broadcast video, it's 480i and will always be 480i. A HD release of this is impossible, all you would be getting on Blu is an up convert (Which most players do automatically) with a higher price tag.

yes, thats sad, they said, that only fans will buy it, and that if a normal people go to the music store to buy a michael jackson concert, that they dont care if its from the dangerous tour or bad tour, they buy the one that is there... and belive me that yesterday i battle to make them understand that we want a bad tour 88 released on dvd... but its not that simple

thanks 4 the info 2 bad we r not gonna see bad tour wembley pro :(

well Moonwalker was recorded in 1988 and you have it in bluray now, and with a kickass (very good) quality... so maybe its not impossible... but i think its a waste of money, they should release another concert.

Though I don't doubt what Sony told you, that doesn't mean that something won't get released. The Estate is in possession of all of the content, and they submit to Sony what they want to have released. So if they want to releasethe Bad Tour, they edit together what they want and give to Sony to distribute.

Sony does not have the rights to the content, they only have the rights to distribute the content given to them from the Estate itself.

It doesn't make any sense! For non-fans it may not matter if it's Bad or Dangerous or History, but for fans it does! So why not release the Bad Tour then which would please BOTH the fans and non-fans (for whom it doesn't matter)? Why not maximize their opportunities?

Although I'm not happy to hear that Sony doesn't have any Bad Tour stuff, but I'm happy to know the Estate has them, so yeah we must let them know we need the Bad Tour on DVD very soon.

I'm finding it hard to believe that there aren't many unreleased songs left. I would have thought there would have been loads left.
