Teddy Talk Only

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Summery:

Good interview with Teddy. Basically talking about the new album and how the Jackson family were mad that they didnt get the publishing of the album. Btw. Teddy has not been paid for this project. He said that He and the Cascio's are gonna have a meeting. But said that if it didnt happen, it didnt matter cuz he worked on this album For Michael only and not anyone else.

He talked about how Michael was when he wanted to make a record. and a special moment with Michael he could remember... etc...

Y'all should really watch it...but if u cant oh well :D

You know i kind of feel sorry for Teddy. Maybe his heart is in the right place and he was fooled too. Maybe he doesn't know how to undo it. Too late to go back now so he is just hoping people will let it go.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

i like it ,he came hard on the family but that is the truth.thank u for link.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

I thought the interview was awful. He didn't really answer the question of the vocals at all. He just skirted around the issue and went on about the nonsense that the family are jealous blah blah. Even if it were true it doesn't explain how the vocals don't sound like MJ to an awful lot of people. Just go back to the old breaking news thread and read the immediate gut reactions of everyone on here when listening to the track for the first time. Almost everyone was of the same view....who the hell is this?

He did answer the questions about the vocals. He just didn't give the answer YOU want to hear. He's addressed the issue several times already. So has Sony. So has the estate.

But nothing they say satisfies you because you have convinced yourself they are fake.

LOL
You feel sorry for him because you are convinced he knows less about MJ's voice than you???
LOL
Classic!!

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

I didn't need to myself of anything. It was as easy as 1, 2, 3. Listened to the tracks, it was obvious. Simple really

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Does he talk about Michael coming out of hiding at all?

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

No i feel sorry for him because he's clearly become mentally unhinged by this whole thing and is deluding himself. He really wants and needs it to be mj and has convinced himself it is.

Ok I believe working with Michaels work probably hurt but he wouldn't betray Michael like this. BTW are you a doctor?

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Did you listen to the interview before you wrote this?

The interviewer asked BESIDES THE TRACKS HE WORKS ON, what are his favorite singles on the album.

Of course I listened to it.....how else would I know what his answer was? :S

He said the same thing on Oprah, and she didnt ask 'BESIDES THE TRACKS HE WORKS ON' what are his favourites.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Thanks for sharing. Made my cry and laugh. I enjoyed the story Teddy told about MJ's stay in Virginia.

Lord help me, but when I first read this, I read it as "MJ's stay in vagina".:*****::hysterical:

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

thanx for sharing , Teddy is a great guy !

some fans here are scared to watch the interview, and scared to believe him , u know a kind of defense mechanism !

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

It's kinda refreshing hearing him talk about MJ in this way! Thanks, Teddy.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Very nice interview, love the little details on his adventures with MJ. He seems really sincere.

Um...ok. How have you gathered that?

Re: Teddy Riley explains why MJ sounds different on some of the tracks

Another illogical statement. Riley does not believe MJ is still alive. Get a grip on that. That doesn't make any sense.

And nobody is arguing that the vocals sound EXACTLY like we know MJ to sound the point is that they were not recorded properly, they were not final takes, and he's said over and over they had been processed and he had to work with them to get usable songs out of them.

And, it's impossible to believe anyone on the planet would give that performance, which, even in its unpolished state is still far and above what any imitator could deliver.

Actually, Riley does believe that MJ is still alive. Check out his blog. If he doesn't believe MJ is still alive, then he sure as hell is insinuating it.

Secondly, don't be so quick to say that because the performance is good that it has to be genuine. The performance is great, but in my opinion it's not Michael. Michael is an even better singer than that, even in his roughest demos that we all have heard. For real, as long as Michael was singing in key, how much processing was really necessary? Was Mike hitting that many bum notes and singing in such a horrible way that this massive amount of processing had to go into it? It's absurd...

I gather it too because there isn't more activity on this thread. If it stated, "Riley interview about faking tracks" it would already have 10,000 views.

If you are a Michael Jackson fan this is must-watch stuff.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

I just watched the interview, but I don't see why the thread aims it at non-believers like myself. It's a lovely interview, I still think Teddy is a genuine guy, but this interview clarifies for me that he is living in a dream world right now.

He's in pain and it's heartbreaking. He definitely believes himself that the vocals are real because, like someone else said, he needs them to be for his own sake. He doesn't know it for sure though, he just trusts the Cascios and he considers himself a servant and soldier of Michael's. Not only that but he clearly states here that he believes Michael is still alive. He's not in his right mind, it's very plain to see and I wish other fans could see it too.

If Teddy is in his right mind and Michael is still alive, why would he go and say it to the world and ruin Michael's secret of being in hiding? It doesn't make any sense at all. Not in the slightest.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

If this has been posted already, I apologize. I could not find it. Looks like the date is Dec. 14.
Great, long interview with Riley. If you can watch this and believe Riley lied to sell false tracks of his friend then you have a cynicism problem.

Riley is very open about working with MJ in the past (dangerous and invincible stories) and on the new songs. And he talks about Michael's life and gives great detail of their friendship.

He also talks about new artists and how their music lacks the substance of MJ.

Please view if you haven't. Great stuff!!!!

Wait, is this thread/interview in FAVOR of the "non-believers" or the "believers" ??
I'm confused by the title, and I can't watch a 24 minute interview right now...
Could ya elaborate on what you mean by your first post? Is he saying the Cascio tracks are fake or legit? Anything said about the Jackson family & why they are causing ruckus around this project?

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Great interview! I really enjoyed that

Monster won't get out of my head. That track is killer!

OMG
Everyone always jumps from one point to a complete ridiculous point with no linear reasoning.

He can't give away MJ's secret unless he knew for sure. He simply seems to believe it's possible given that MJ was a target, which all of you know was true.

He has stated in other interviews that MJ is dead.

But none of that has to do with what he says about the music and the vocals. Some of you are so full of yourselves to sit here and believe that you know what happened based on your belief in what you hear and that if Riley disagrees he must be delusional.

He is Teddy Riley. You are a fan. Teddy Riley. Fan. Teddy Riley. Fan. Michael's trusted producer. Fan. Michael's friend. Fan.

In other words, you are a peasant in the MJ kingdom and Riley is a senator.

He is explaining to you why the vocals might not sound like typical michael and you are ignoring it by saying "I can tell it doesn't sound like him so it must not be him and Riley is so distraught he has convinced himself it is Michael.:"

No. He got tracks that were raw and poorly recorded and processed and did his best to make them releasable because the songs were good. So, in spots it might not sound exactly like classic MJ.

And you non-believers are pissing all over it and the album because you are too arrogant to believe what the producer - Michael's friend for 20 years - is telling you because of a massive conspiracy theory.

Nonsense.

You are putting yourself and your knowledge ahead of someone whose knowledge is to your's what Michael's talent is to Britney Spears'.

LOLOL

I know, I get that. I have heard this point before and I understand it clearly, but as hard as I try, I can't understand why the vocals in the Cascio tracks sound different than every single other Michael Jackson song I have ever heard.

Michael has sung in many different ways in many different kinds of recordings and never before has he sounded like this. You admit yourself that it sounds strange, why can't you trust your own instincts? How did you honestly feel when you first heard Breaking News?

THIS is why I can't believe it's him, and I promise you that no undeniable proof will ever surface that it's him, because it isn't. I know it's crazy, I know it's ridiculous, I know Teddy's opinion matters more, but in my humble opinion, it's the truth. I have tried and failed to believe.

Not sounding exactly how you are used to him sounding and it not being him are two different things. The three tracks in question were all recorded in the same place the same way so it would stand to reason that they sound similar.

And the fact of the matter is that MOST of it sounds like him. You seriously listen to all of Monster and believe the entire thing is someone else????? Seriously???

Even the end when eh's singing "Hawkin' me" "stalkin' me"???

That is pure MJ.

If the raw vocals were of poor quality and processed and then processed some more to meet the right key would it not stand to reason that they would sound different???????

Another little video to remind you of who Teddy Riley is. He just sits down at a piano years later and bangs out Remember the Time like he's drinking water.

Re: Great interview with Teddy Riley by ThatGrapeJuice.net (for the non-believers)

Demo track....Okay...here is a demo of Baby Be Mine....what if Riley were given this to make into a track...how much processing would it need? It sounds very rough.

It would need major work and then some of you would call it fake.
