A MASSIVE feud has broken out in Michael Jackson’s camp over the beyond-the-grave album that is hurtling towards Christmas Number One.

Will.i.am, one of the last people to make music with *****, has criticised producer Teddy Riley for putting out a posthumous disc, saying he is “disgusted”. Now Teddy has hit back in a bonkers phone rant.

I thought I’d share it in full...

He said: “I think he should have kept it to himself, I’m sorry. You know, if you got something to say that’s against my friend, you know, and upholding his legacy, what happens when you die? Should we just stop your music? Let me say this. This album is greater than his best album. Michael’s worst day is better than people’s best day.


“Because he’s such a perfectionist, so when you’ve got a person who’s such a perfectionist, when you got people like, um, Will.I.Am just throws his… you know, puts two things together, samples together and drop something and copy from so many different artists.

Should they stop his music? We never stopped Michael's music. Michael's music that he gave us when he was alive lives on. Michael made his music to live on for an eternity.

No it isnt did you even listen to it ??
Only some samples for a few ad libs and an intro and MJ many times
used sample of other songs for an INTRO The main vocals music
and melody are not samples

But I do think Teddy should'nt be bashing other artists
or producers, he already stuck his foot in his mouth when
he made demeaning statements about Quincy. and then
made a public apology

For those that was around during the Vince era, fans also talked shit about some of the songs there, so that is nothing new, it's a personal taste.

Monster is a cool song, makes me want to slap somebody and dance at the same time LOL!! It's strong!

will.i.am is wrong and Teddy Riley is right. Fans should be boycotting Black Eyed Peas music and not MICHAEL.

I think that says it all.......

People like Teddy, Rodney, Brad Buxer, Bruce Swedien, Michael Prince and NeffU have spent much more time with Michael than will. I know will feels like he has an understanding with MJ, BUT it's just the tip of the iceberg compared to those that worked on 'Michael'. Michael would not want his songs hidden away, never to be heard. will was also quoted as saying that MJ did not want HMH released. That is not true. He was upset that it was leaked and that was because he really liked the song and it upset his plans for releasing it.

My message to will is - you are a great artist in a great group - now get out there and get to work and quit using Michael as a platform for media exposure.

I am with Teddy Riley. I think Will.i.am is pretty much like that and full of shit. I bet Michael would have never actually released Will.i.am tracks. He was of course excited but the result would not have been the best.

To be honest, they both keep repeating their opinions, again and again, to enjoy as much media exposure as they can. They're entitled to their opinions, as anyone out there, and of course they can voice it as they wish; but I dont see the point of this "feud". We all heard you both, thank you, and now move on with your lives.
Now I dont know about Will (and yes that last remix stinks big time IMO), maybe I've missed something, but Teddy shouldnt speak/type so fast sometimes. Being a beLIEver is one thing (it doesnt bother me), but being rude is another.

saying his productions weren't good enough for the album??? Have you even listened to them? What are your judgements based on? I respect Will's music and enjoy listening to it, in fact the last album is really great. I let my friends listen to it, and they were like dude i need to copy this they all went nuts. I go to clubs often and i gotta tell ya, when the dj played the new single, the club started banging last time. I totally recommend checking it out. I love the Dirty Dancing sample he did.

Yes, you are really cheesy Teddy. I don't want to comment any further on that since Teddy moved off-base and started actually criticizing his production capabilities.

I remember Michael saying "The best is yet to come" but i think the new album "Michael" does NOT live up to that promise. And i'm also happy that will didn't send his songs for the new album. That is actually what the fans are really upset about i think, but imo will made a good decision on that one. I hope though he changes his opinion in the future so that we can get a glimpse at what they have produced together.

Actually, Riley does believe that MJ is still alive. Check out his blog. If he doesn't believe MJ is still alive, then he sure as hell is insinuating it.

Secondly, don't be so quick to say that because the performance is good that it has to be genuine. The performance is great, but in my opinion it's not Michael. Michael is an even better singer than that, even in his roughest demos that we all have heard. For real, as long as Michael was singing in key, how much processing was really necessary? Was Mike hitting that many bum notes and singing in such a horrible way that this massive amount of processing had to go into it? It's absurd...
