“Hollywood Tonight” VIDEO premieres NOW

Ok video.

LOVE how they used the original demo.

Stripped back, raw, funky. Genius.

Like the album version, but for me mj really shines through in this mix.

Once again, what's this different mix of the song?

I don't like the video very much. HMH beats this one in my opinion.

I like it a lot. Does anyone remember the movie Flashdance? The whole stripper thing reminded me of that. She had to make a living and dancing she loved. The end she had her big audition for a dance company. It's very realistic. This is a demo? I like it because I can hear Michael even better.

Yeah....

I really LOVE it. I am pleasantly surprised.... The soundtrack feel, like a video of a soundtrack for a movie... Almost as Mike is still here....

I've thought at Who is it too, when Mike appears so little.... and still the story is like a movie story....

Really love it, good job. I am grateful that God gave them god ideas with this video. Thank you God for this gift.

I guess this video is OK...............

But then again..............compare it to the usual bizarre gaga video.........and this video is excellent!!!!!!!

p.s. this girl can also dance better then gaga!!!!!

Love the video, but is it just me or is the audio not very clean?
Sounds like they mixed the song differently for the video, it's doesn't sound the same as the original in some parts of it, I don't like that. They should have kept the same mix, this one's not very good IMO. It's like it's muffling Michael's voice & you can't hear the lyrics clearly, sounds over-produced, more so than the original.

What a nice surprise to open the website and see this. I LOVE IT!!! Makes me really wish I could dance. Plus I like how they gave it a positive ending with her dancing how she does. I like the story it tells and man can she dance! She's enjoyable to watch. I think they did a fantastic job all around. (I didn't even know a video was coming out)

I enjoyed the video. I thought it was very cute and fits the song nicely. Someone on twitter summed it up nicely, it's a nice video, fits, but won't be something I'll probably watch many times again. I guess that is to be expected now though.

The girl in the video is a fantastic dancer! Very enjoyable to watch!

hey guys does anyone know which version are they release on the radio and when its going to be released?

Is this video be shown in the US etc on tv or Behind the Mask will? I live in Canada so I don't know if I should watch out for it like I did Hold My Hand.

From this, can we all now agree Teddy Riley did a good job on his mix of Hollywood Tonight? The one used for the video is a complete state.

I Really Love :wub:The new video for Michael Jackson's Hollywood Tonight.
It has Great choreography and a Storyline that is very close to Michael's song.

I'm not even upset they used a different version of the song. It just
gives a different flavor and is closer to the original demo.

It's all good as far as Im concerned, Every has opinions so it would
be very diffucult to please everyone for the fact Michael is not here.

I certainly cant put any hate on this video.
In fact I think its Awesome ! :clapping:

I really loved the video as it makes me think of the way Michael inspired us to follow our dreams no matter what........and I cried at it :(

OK. SO
we wanted awesome, non-cheap dancers.check
we didn't want another fan-made tribute.check
we wanted it to follow the storyline of the HT girl. check
we wanted more raw mj vocals without the autotune.check.
we wanted awesome dance routines.check
we wanted some sort of incorporation of mj.check
we didn't want the spoken bridge.check
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE U DISAPPOINTED ABOUT? WHAT DID EVERYONE EXPECT? If u expected mj back, then thats our own faults for wishing..
i'm so over the negativity

People in here are always negative. It's the reason I barely come on this site any more. Everyone complains about everything. It gets so old.

Michael Jackson is dead... nothing will ever be up to par with his standards because he was the genius behind it! People need to realize this. People have this illusion that every new project is going to be produced by Michael himself. Some of you need to snap into reality.

Personally I like the video. There is nothing wrong with it. And the Billie Jean bass-line adds a new flavor to the song.

To be honest i absolutely f**kin love the Estate for this! :p

I don;t know but I feel that many fans are incapable of being happy for Mike products.... even when he was alive gracing us with his presence, starting from Invincible.... up to now when we lost him..... many are incapable to simple being in joy as a child, with pure heart.

We analyze too much....

I pray this state of stress and not being content with almost everything related to Mike, to disappear and fans become capable again of just simple enjoy, even if not so perfect products....

Just enjoy what's left.... the last touches of this man....

.

That's almost comical. Other people's genuine enjoyment of something (we're not talking mean spirited laughter about someone...) makes somebody else incredibly sad.

The people that enjoy this STILL miss Michael, but they don't get upset with someone else who is still able to feel some joy. Geez.

To discuss personal taste is useless, one can like it, or not. But to rip into other people as if they robbed a bank or decided to shove a granny down the stairs is just slightly too much. It's totally fine not to be able to enjoy something when the feeling of missing MJ takes over. But to send others on guilt trips for liking a video is a bit much as well.

I can't believe some people are actually trying to shame me and other fans for liking the video. I mean wtf?

Wow! To be honest it told the Story Michael wanted to tell. It made me cry and i like this version of the song best. Everyone should stop bitching and be happy the estate is giving these things to us. Because we could end up with nothing at all.

I agree with all of you above! I LOOOVED IT! We all know all short films from now on will not have Michael's stamp on it, but I still think this was A+ quality and Michael would be very very pleased. I love the images of Michael in all the billboards and how this girl clearly was influenced and inspired by Michael. As far as the stripper/alcohol bit, well it is just like Michael's lyrics, it follows it to a tee. It is realistic, Hollywood has all those elements. How can that be negative towards Michael? It follows the storyline perfectly starting from the very beginning, greyhound, painted on jeans. The music is great! It is Michael- raw- what can be better than that. I love both versions though.

I THANK the estate and Sony for listening to US. I give them all the credit in the world for trying their best to please the fans. Unfortunately they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

It is very disconcerting when some fans can never ever be happy- there's always somebody whining and complaining. All this negativity is NOT what Michael would want. Why can't we enjoy like Tipereth beautifully articulated, what we have now? I know personally it brings a big smile to my face and makes me very excited, yes it is bittersweet, but still I am happy. It fills that hole I have inside from losing Michael. It helps me feel really good inside his legacy continues.... Because YES this is also part of his legacy. Everything that he left us past, present, or future is part of his legacy. I for one want his legacy to continue in perpetuity as it should and I know Michael would also, as he has said in numerous occasions.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Michael, Estate, Sony and all involved in the production and conception of this great short film. :D:clap::clap::clap:

I am just guessing here but maybe they didn't want to go the dark route for the song. Add hints of it but keep it up and positive. I find the videos that take darker route are slower songs. I am just guessing here.

I like the mix: no spoken bridge, no auto-tune.
Overall I like it. :chillin:

I was skeptical about this at first but I gotta admit I liked it, the video had a storyline and everything loved seeing Mike on the billboards.

I agree...
Michael would be pissed if he sees this.
Ths music video has NOTHING to do with him..

And how is this NOTHING to do with him? geez, I am just so tired of this. Your obvious dislike for any Michael's work after his passing is palpable. So why not move on? Do you have to put down ppl that want and are enjoying this experience. If you want to be so angry, miserable and sad for the rest of your life then I guess that is your choice, but do we have to listen to it every time? I hope one day you find some peace and follow Michael's message of joy and happiness. All these songs released or unreleased are Michael's work, and he always wanted for everyone to rejoice and be happy. I know I am in pain, but at least I enjoy all his songs because I follow his message. He wanted us to be happy and enjoy his work.

I just listened to it for the second time, and I enjoyed it even more! His voice sounds great! I don't see much of a difference between the album and this to tell you the truth. I also noticed how she kissed 'MICHAEL's album cover at the end, which was a sweet touch. I was crying this time, too. Just great!

I like the new mix in the video. Sounds like Billie Jean. The video is alright, but you know how it is. Michael is gone and so the joy of seeing "new" videos of his music are completely gone for me. The girl in the video is a good dancer and I think it was a bit better then HMH video.

*Goes to youtube to look at Give Into Me video*

Honestly, I didn't like it when I first saw it (about 15 mins ago ) as I wrote in the other thread.. but after watching it again I think it's better.

One of the parts of the video I absolutely loved, so much so that it gave me chills, were the videos they had of Mike on the billboards and stuff.

I miss him :(

For what it is, I must say its a good effort. With that said.....

Its time we all deal with the reality that we are faced with, Michael is gone! (that hurts me just typing that). Nothing will be like it was before, and with that said, I just think we should stop having these high expectations 'cause guess what? none of these people will ever be able to 'do Michael Jackson', bottomline.

So whatever is released, you'll either like it or don't like it, but the constant negativity and complaining needs to stop.
