MICHAEL JACKSON: SABOTAGED ‘WORK OF GENIUS’ TO BE RELAUNCHED

A controversial study of Michael Jackson's intimate friendships with young boys is being re-launched after angry fans sabotaged its debut last year.

Internationally renowned professors of psychiatry and criminology had hailed the 624-page scholarly biography Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liaisons for its insight into the late King of Pop's tortured psyche. One even called the book a “work of genius”. But the £20 tome was dropped by publishers Troubador after a relentless five-month pre-publication campaign by fans.

Fearing revived allegations over Jackson’s “sleepovers” with young boys, fans proved hell-bent on defending their idol's innocence. Jackson was tried on child molestation charges in 2005 and acquitted.

The campaigners deluged Troubador with emails and attacked the company on thousands of websites, claiming Michael was about to be portrayed as a molester. This followed the appearance of the book’s blurb at online bookstore Amazon, months ahead of printing.

"In reality the book is very sympathetic towards Michael," said author Carl Toms.

"Did kids love him? Definitely. Did he harm them? Some of those sleepover friendships ended in tears, and Michael cannot escape responsibility for that. But the book aims to go deeper, exploring the profundity of Michael's feelings for children and their contribution to his creativity."

"I believe truly loyal and thoughtful fans will welcome the opportunity to confront all the evidence in depth, the better to understand Michael’s extraordinary life and talent."

Printed last April and pulled from Troubador’s lists in May, just weeks before the scheduled launch in June under the firm’s Matador imprint, Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liaisons is now distributed by Dangerous Books Ltd, and is available from www.dangerousbooks.co.uk.

When the book was under attack, historian Professor William Armstrong Percy III leapt to its defence, proclaiming it “a work of genius”. He had been one of five scholars who had earlier given enthusiastic pre-publication endorsements. Another of them, cultural guru Professor James R. Kincaid, described Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Liaisons as, "The most engaging, informed, and generous-hearted book we have on the subject or are likely ever to have." Donald West, Emeritus Professor of Clinical Criminology at Cambridge University, said the author's "vivid and insightful commentary is a joy to read".

Horrible. The devil in these people really wanna kill Michael's name for good. I'd be more sympathetic about these kinds of people if they were mentally ill, however they just seem plain evil.

..wish I never read this horrible ish. Hope the Estate can prevent this crap from being published. Sickened...

OH.MY.GOD......how stupid. If they had truly done their "research" during the trial and even after, they would know that Michael's FANS, out of all people, were best informed about the 'evidence'. We took the time to look at both sides of the story WHICH IS WHY we concluded that the allegations were nothing but a pile of crap. Excuse my French. While they were busy judging Michael, we were doing our research. Idiots.
 
i doubt it. stupid freedom of speech laws. u cna always tell the haters when they do everything they can to try and act like they are being fair by claiming they have done research etc. its like the ferretti arsehole who had the cheek to call himself a fan yet went around talking to dimond and guiterrez. do they think we came down in the last shower. those that shout the loudest normally have the most to hide.ask dimond and her pedo friend from canada. these fools can never compete with the amount of knowledge mj fans have from reading every single court transcript and motion. where do they get their info from? the national enquirer?

I already wrote an email to 'Dangerousbooks.com' but I doubt it will make much difference. The author is basically self-publishing this book so I guess it won't get picked up by the mainstream retailers and I hope it's ignored by the media but given the content, I guess it's the kind of thing they will want to print in their 'rags'.
The Estate should be able to at least write a nasty legal letter to the owners of the site, which will mean very little outlay to them but may be enough to put the frighteners on them.
What makes me laugh is the comment that the book is thoroughly/well researched. I'm guessing all the research is based on tabloid stories and other books about MJ. Not an accurate basis for writing a factual book IMO. You can't write a factual, accurate book based on sensationlism and lazy journalism. It just doesn't add up.

Geez. You know......maybe these pedophiles are just angry Michael wasn't part of their SICK club, so now they take their anger out on him when he's no longer here to defend himself. Just like so many other WEAK folks are doing.

Well, I guess even though we've stopped them before they just don't seem to realize that we are stronger, bigger, taller and smarter than they will ever be. We understand what Michael stood for, his genuine care for the PEOPLE (not just children) of the world and his desire to make this world a better place.

In my eyes, pedophiles are just as bad as murderers because they MURDER a child's personality. They MURDER a child's innocence. They MURDER a child's carefree childhood. They MURDER a child's ability to love and trust other people. To even remotely compare Michael to a pedophile is completely retarded and just as sick as being a pedophile.

They say it's sympathetic because they think pedophilia is OK, just another "sexual orientation"! The whole idea behind it is that pedophiles desperately want a poster child for their "case" and unfortunately they have picked Michael misinterpreting his pure love towards children. This started in 1986 when Victor Gutierrez (who is probably a pedo himself) made a visit to a NAMBLA conference. He was entrusted by these pedos to paint MJ a pedophile so that they can make him their poster boy. They think to have a famous person on their flag would make them more acceptable in people's minds. Just like famous gay people helped to break down prejudice against gay people.

For years Gutierrez was lurking around Michael's employees and friends who had made visits to Neverland and who had sons. For example, he talked to the Robsons. He also had contact with many employees of MJ - notably with those who later claimed they saw Michael sexually molesting boys. Such as Blanca Francia, Orietta Murdock, Ralph Chacon, Kassim Abdool, Adrian McManus, the Chandler's maid and some others. And one day he met the bipolar Evan Chandler and in him he found his man. (Like I said he also contacted Wade Robson's mom before that but they, and other kids' parents weren't willing to accuse Michael of anything.)

You have to realize guys, that much of these horrible accusations those happened to Michael are a result of NAMBLA's and Gutierrez's plot! Most of the prosecutions "witnesses" in 2005 were these people whom Gutierrez trained! The Francias, Chacon, McManus etc. They were all liars, of course, as it turned out. They said they saw Michael molest Wade Robson, Brett Barnes and Macaulay Culkin. The defense called all those boys on the stand and they testified that Michael never molested them.

You also need to know that Gutierrez also worked together with Martin Bashir and Diane Dimond!

Everything can be traced back to him and NAMBLA! Everything!

And now "Carl Toms" and his buddies the pedophile professors. They are trying to reap what they have sown.....

The accusations against Michael were all triggered by this pedophile maffia, so that they can make him their poster boy. (If you want to know what I'm basing my claims on, please read the links I gave above.)

It is. Thomas O'Caroll never met MJ or any of these children. He is just taking tabloid stories at face value.
And these people aren't interested in the truth. They are interested in advocating pedophilia. In order to do so they use MJ's name and give credit to every tabloid story ever written about him and children.
 
whether this can be stopped i dont know but considering the info respect has provided us with i think the estate should be informed.
