First the Rabbi, now JRT?

Jackson doctor's defense already "desperate"? - CBS News
First once I agree wit this fool (whether he's a hypocrite or not)
Jackson's biographer, J. Randy Taraborrelli, told "Early Show on Saturday Morning" co-anchor Russ Mitchell it's "very important" to the Jackson family that Murray be found guilty, but, "The big question here is at what cost to Michael Jackson's reputation and to his legacy? Justice is very important and closure is very important. But nobody wants to see a character assassination of Michael Jackson. And that's something the family, the fan community and the estate are very concerned about where this trial is concerned."

The early word, Mitchell pointed out, is that the defense will be "brutal."

Taraborrelli, author of "Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story, 1958-2009," said, "I think you're looking at a very desperate defense. If they're planning to show the film of Michael Jackson's press conference to demonstrate that he was depressed -- Michael Jackson looks very healthy in that film. Anybody who has seen that film will tell you that he looks like he was very capable and very ready for the tour, so that just shows you that there is a lot of desperation here.

"You know, the fact of the matter is that Michael Jackson is not on trial. It doesn't make any difference what Michael Jackson's state of mind was. It doesn't make any difference what Michael's history was, or what his personal problems were at the time of his death. He's not on trial. Conrad Murray is on trial. And that's really what, I think, the judge has made a very strong decision to focus on in this trial."

What about possible claims Jackson committed suicide?

"Absolutely not. Absolutely not. There is just no indication of that by anybody who knew Michael Jackson well, as I did, (and anyone who did) knows he had such a love for his children and for his family that he just never would have done such a thing. You know, that's the kind of claim that people watching the trial who cared about Michael Jackson are concerned about, having (be) made in a court of law."

Taraborrelli says family members have told him they're "doing fairly well. The kids are doing very well. They are in school. Paris is in acting classes. They take karate lessons. Prince is overseas now, representing one of Michael Jackson's charities. So they are pulling together. They're doing the best they can. But nobody wants to see their father dragged into another controversy."

To be honest who cares about what he says?

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

Exactly

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

Idk I thought I shared this. I was sorta shocked he said this since he's been so negative to Michael (playing the "friend" card)

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

Okay, thanks. I think by now everyone knows the kids are in karate classes, Paris is in acting classes, and both are in school. Nothing new here.

I sure don't. Taraborelli is just one of a long line of people who cashed in on Michael. I seriously doubt that he's had actual contact with Michael since the SEVENTIES, and knows no more than the average fan. In fact, LESS. Has anyone actually LOOKED at his latest book? If you can, leaf through it . . and especially the references in the back-of-the-book. His "sources" are, primarily, TABLOIDS, and of those, mostly the National Enquirer. I don't think he's earned the right to speak about Michael, at ALL. He's one of a long line of opportunists who should simply sit down and put duct-tape over their mouths. I don't want to hear one, more, word from him, nor from "Rabbi" Schmuley, Deepak Chopra, Yuri Gellar, Jason Pfeiffer, Brian Oxman, Karen Faye, or any and all of Michael's former employees (who seem to forget they signed confidentiality agreements!) IMHO.

Well said Autumn, and while you are it add to the list certain family members as well.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

If Satan said the kindess words about Michael Jackson, I still would tell him to go to hell!

Likewise Taraborelli and all the other hypocrites. It does'nt matter the nice things they say now, look back at their histories where Michael is concerned and that will tell you all you need to know about these people.

Taraborrelli anit no friend of mjs that for sure!

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

These people are acquaintances Michael associated with, but later on he left them behind and went on to do his own thing, as often happens. Taraborreli still has some outdated photos of him and Michael in his office.

He had the nerve to say that after the trial he went up to Michael and told him congratulations and Michael looked as though he was not there. First of all, congratulations is not the right word to use after someone tried to take away your liberty and your lawyer proved that your were innocent. It is not as though Michael was celebrating his birthday, or won an award--all happy occasions. The last thing that day Michael was thinking about was Taraborreli. All he needed was to get the XYZ out of the court, take his children and move to another land.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

i wasn't around durring the trial and all that. but i've done my homework. it seams like if people who were talking shit for 20+ years are now trying really hard to "be fair to the victim". i wish fans would stop feeding them.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

I may be the only one but I like j Randy and I do think his mj book was not that bad, there are one and two page I tape together but over all it's a good book, and he did say he was sorry for judging MJ so hard in the pass,

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

I hate te term "Jackson's biographer" when it comes to Taraborrelli. Geez!

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

In a thread here one German fan informed us that Taraborrelli said in a TV interview that Michael smelled during the trial. Now, did he apologize for that too?

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

He wrote many articles for the daily mail in the uk calling mj everything but a child of god.really nasty articles.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

Taraborelli's writing would be just fine if it were FICTION. But, he passes it off as truth, and that makes him just another person who cashes in at Michael's expense. I wouldn't give him ANY of my money, ever, for that crap.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

^^that's the problem, so many of this quasi writers are good at giving their buyers fiction for truth. Several fans, though, love his books. I guess it is easier for them to buy one book with all the tabloid information in it, than buy several tabloid magazines (the source of most of Taraborrelli's information). It comes out cheaper in the end.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

in my mind ANYONE who as much as hints at guilt on MJs part as i've heard this dude have done in the past should not be spoken well of among fans.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

In 2010 I went to an Oxford Bookstore here in India and asked if they had Moonwalk, or Redemption or Conspiracy. (of, course I have them already, just wanted to check if they were stocking these positive books on Michael) They said 'No'.

I looked around and spotted Taraborelli's latest updated(?!) version of 'Magic and the Madness' sitting in the front row. I went over to it, picked it up and shoved it to the backest of the back of the shelf where on one, even if they tried, could find it. May sound childish, but whatever!

And I patted myself for it.

HAAA, oh my goodness!!! Good for you!!! Sometimes the child in us comes out. I know I have felt like making childish retorts many times, but I resist the urge!!! Thanks for this.

Ankita, I've done this NUMEROUS of times!! With books (Randy J. T's, Latoya's, Katherine's, Ian Halperin's) with dvd's, bluray's, cd's etc.. with everything unofficial!! And let me assure you it's NOT childish.

Re: J. Randy Taraborrelli saying said something positive about Michael! (regarding the trial)

Hugs to you for doing that,my dear! ()

When I wrote 'childish' what I meant was-it may look 'childish' to others, BUT for ME, it was ABSOLUTELY NOT! While I was doing it, I had tears in my eyes, and immense pain, anguish, anger, grief and a sense of helplessness and frustration in my heart. In that moment, I knew that was the best I could do to defend Michael and have people know 'only' the truth about him, his absolutely beautiful being and how he was hunted down by a vicious world. If I could not put any positive, TRUTHFUL book about him in that bookstore, I was certainly not going to leave a negative, UNTRUTHFUL piece of crap lying on those shelves.

I have been fighting for justice for Michael since 1993 and I will never ever give up until we win this fight.

That makes it all the worse to me.

Hehe, I do this too! I either put those books behind other unrelated books, or else I restock them to where they belong, in the "fiction" section of the bookstore. Failing that, I'll stick them behind all the extraneous merch bookstores usually have a section for--no one will find them there!

No one has caught me yet!
