NAVI of UK at MURRAY Trial - Friday

Navi is a huge fan and a really nice person. He was there for Michael during 2005 and he's there now. Good for you Navi.

Dont tell me hes dressed up? theres a time and a place but i guess some dont get it. he got up alot of ppls back by walking around as mj at what should have been opening night having the press follow him around with his umbrella. I guess promoting yourself is the most important thing. tacky and disrespectful

Seems in poor taste. I'm willing to grant him the benefit of the doubt in regards to his intentions, but the idea of him (or anyone else) showing up as the deceased/victim to the trial of the man who killed him seems to put a frivolous spin on the whole thing.

Therefore, I would find it inappropriate if he decided to show up "in character."

I don't think Navi meant any harm. Why is this any different than fans wearing fedoras, thriller jackets etc?

EDIT: Here is is in non-costume:

It goes further than a simple shirt though. Wearing a costume to a court house is not appropriate in my opinion. But the people loudly cheering Tom Mesereau are as tactless.

If he was there just for the trial why go in full make up?

Excately my words. Never forget when he also showed at the O2 Arena, which was supposed to be the opening night, where he was in full make up too and was enjoying some peoples cheering, which was so tasteless! It was so shortly after Michael died!

Even seeing one of his shows at the Indigo2 hasn't changed my opinion of him. Going in a tshirt or a fedora is fine but full costume distracts from the real issue.

Hey, I love Navi but he shouldnt be promoting himself at the trial. Its doesn't sit well with me. This is not a fan event its serious business. I dont even like when impersonaters show up at MJ's grave sight like it some kind of party. There is a time and place and the court or Michael's grave sight is NOT the time or place. I find it creepy and sad. Just my humble opinion. but Im not gonna hate him for it. Maybe in his mind he thinks he is paying respect, you never know

I will never forget that. It was disgusting. And this ain't much better.

me neither. there was me and friends sat on the wall holding back tears and meeting other friends who i hadnt seen since it happened and he was on the other side going around with an umbrella with the media and so called fans who thought it was one bag party. mj fans really are the best and worst of ppl sometimes

It seems many of them do that because I saw one in full costume at the first day of trial. He was dressed in the yellow costume to represent the dangerous look, but the top did not have the thong part. He was very quiet and respectful when I saw him. I think there were others also, so to me it seems they dress like that to show their support for Michael. As long as they are not trying to give out their numbers or business cards, to me it is OK. If dressing like him is your way of showing support, then go for it.

I agree that some people do incorporate his style into their wardrobe as a way of feeling close to him (I do this), but there is a difference between showing support and shameless self-promotion. If the person in question does this as part of their career/job (i.e. you can book him for events, etc.), however, it seems it puts an entirely different spin on the idea. What Navi appears to be doing is benefiting from his appearances in character and creating exposure for himself.

Michael seems to fit nowhere in his equation, therefore, it would be in poorest taste for him to show up to court "in character."

I think its in poor taste for anyone to turn up in custome/makeup do they think they are attending an mj day party? its a court of law whether u are inside or out. its making a mockery of what happened to mj and the seriousness of it.

Navi got the press to talk to him by dressing as Michael Jackson and did a mighty fine job too. Navi has gone over there as the voice of hundreds of fans and if he needs to get that message across he must stand out. I for one applaud you Navi and thank you from someone who can not be there.

Ok so FYI.. Just so you know... Navi did a tribute performance ouside the O2 along with the rest of the acts. He had no intention of being disrespectful. I was there and I know Navi. No one needs to start a war over this. I'm not just directing this at you..but for the other fans who are throwing "tasteless" comments around. At least he is supporting Michael Jackson and speaking out for fans who couldn't be there. I think that's noble. Anyway..had to get that off my chest. Now awaiting some poor remarks to what I had to say...-_- Oh, and this post is with the L.O.V.E.

Maybe we can look at it this way: if murray sees him every day, it will be like Michael is haunting him....

Sometimes even with good intentions, you can do something wrong. Even if he wanted to pay tribute to Michael, I, very personally, dont think it's appropriate to show up that way in front of a court house. It's like at Forrest Lawn, I find it direspectful, to the place and the "occasion". It's not a concert, not a celebration. I'm not saying Navi is a bad guy, I dont know him. But whatever his intentions were, it made me cringe.

OK well putting the issue of Navi and costume aside for a second. I feel like someone has punched me in the gut and I really want to cry - this is the first I have heard that even if there is a guilty verdict Murray will spend NO TIME in jail. that ****** sucks - completely
