Murray Trial- Day 16 - October 24 - Discussion

That's court over for today! Court starts at 9:00AM LA time tomorrow due to legal issues that need to be sorted out.

Is it bad his veins were small? From what I am reading Michael was healthy when she met him.

Some people just have small veins. My mom has a similar problem and it take several tries for a doctor to find a vein, much to her annoyance. My veins are also hard to find, but mostly because I'm over weight. lol

Okay. Thanks.

Lee was the FIRST person to mention "propofol" to media. Before she made the talk-show rounds, the talking heads were still saying "demerol." She was on absolutely every talk show for about a week, and then went under again. Poof!

She seemed to be having a massive problem testifying. Not only was she nervous, but seemed unprepared, even though she had notes (the "script?") in front of her. Her purpose for the defense is to indicate that Michael was "seeking propofol." There is something terribly "off" about this witness. IMHO.

We know now that in April Murray was buying Propofol lots of it and sending it to his gf house. Him askng her and Metzger IMO tells me he was not sold on Murray yet

both metzger and lee have done a good job of showing what should be done. ie making notes. and u have lee making mj fill out a big questionaire and trying to work out if other issues were causing the sleep problems. just like the other dr testifyed about what should happen when u have a paitent with insomnia. the defence are helping to show up murrys negligence with all this talk about medical notes etc.

Cherilyn Lee

Chernoff

she's a nurse praticioner, holitic nutritional praticioner.

Nurse practioner ; can open a clinic, about natural and nutrition care

Has been doing that for 15 to 20 years off and on, she works with sports people, entertainers

Legally she can prescribe medication, but chooses not to. Doesn't like what medication does to people.

Has prescribed antibiotics, is not allowed to prescribe cnontrolled mediation.

Has met MJ, at his home. She had received a call from Faheem Mohammed, he's the son of a friend of hers.

Faheem said Mjs childen had a slight cold, it was the latter part of january 2009. She went to the house on january, looks at her charts, can't find the date, she was there several times.

She assessed the children, talked to MJ. He said he was a little tired, she said she did nutrion and natural thing, she said she would ask for lab test, and ask him to fast fom midnight during 8 hours for the blood test;

She went back on february 1st : she did a physical exam, drew his blood for blood test (to rule everything that could cause fatigue out, did a history. He was not talkig about his sleep pattern , she gave him a symptom form to fill

Mj said he was easily fatigued, he didn't talk about medication, occasionally he would take talanol, He drank red bull, she told him that could cause fatigue.

Mj had difficulty falling sleeping, she felt the red bull could be the cause.

Did he seem fatigued ? No, she said he thought he was anemic.

He talked about dehydration, he said he could lose 5 to 7 pounds from perpsiration during rehearsals.

MJ was very healthy, a loving person.

,She came back to Mjs house on febrauray 2nd.

Did you tell him about the red bull ? :yes, he said «*whatever you tell me to do, I will stop*»

Saw him again on february 3rd, he said he was feeling better

Lab results came back on the 5th, she drew blood again on 27th february . She next saw him, on march 9th, when she went over his lab results with him.

She gave him super smoothies (nutritional smoothies, with protein), b12, nutritional IV, did his blood test before starting the nutritional IV, it came back normal, so she started the nutritional IV.

When was the firts time you gave him an IV ? It was early february, with saline, IV pushed over 10mn.

On February 10th she gave him myers cocktail : magnesium, calcium, vitamin c, b vitamin

she was seeing him sometimes in the morning and sometime in theevening

February 16th : went over his lab results, gave him another nutritional IV.
Did he complain about sleep ? No, Chernoff shows her her records ,he actually said he had a hard time going to sleeping. It was the first time he said had

MJ and CL talked about teas that could help him sleep.

Next she saw MJ on march 9th : he had just arrived from London, she saw the announcement on TV. She was called either by Faheem or MAW. MJ complained he was tired, she gave him Myers cocktail IV

March 16th : Myers cocktail, he said he was feeling better

March 26th; she came out of the house at 6am; It was scheduled the day before. MJ complained about what he had to do that day. She Gave a Myers cocktail; He offered her to go to London.

March 24th ; visited him in the evening, he said natural sleep products wouldn't work.

April 12th Easter sunday : visited him . He said he had a problem sleeping, everything she did was not working. She offered to do a sleep study, a neurotransmittal (sp ?) test, he said he din't have time for that.
He wanted her to see that he didn't sleep, he said she could watch him and see that he had problems sleeping. She did that, she went up to his room, made him tea, gave him natural supplements, she gave him vitamin C, myers cocktail, she watched him sleep, he slept for 5 hours; An IV was going. The catheter was in his hand, he had very small veins, «*squiggly veins*», there was no other problems with his veins.

The medication came up during easter. , Chernoff says it was actually on april 19th, she checks and agrees.

Recess until tomorrow 9 am LA time

No offense, but it's easier to give an tv interview where you have more control of what you can talk about than to be grill by the side you mostly opposed. She obviously doesn't want to help Murray, which could explain why he is nervous.

I undstand what you are saying, But she ran to those networks with her testimony, No one ever would of known she ever existed if she,,,herself...didnt come out an try to be a star, Its not like people went looking for her,

do u think the defence are even going to bother to try and challenge the violation testimony. because out of 6 witnesses which is nearly half.they have shown nothing to defend murray from the actual charges

Why do i think Ms Lee is helpful.? Sure, she is a drama queen. But she is painting a sympathetic picture of MJ. He had sleep issues, but worst a tortured, lonely soul in much need of tender, loving care. He over turned every rock in search of a good night's sleep.

Are drug addicts, this fanatic about being healthy.?

No one had even identified propofol yet! And now she pops up as a defense witness, to indicate that Michael asked HER for propofol? Did he? REALLY?

Even if I hadn't seen her on tv so soon after Michael's death (she was EVERYWHERE for about a week, and then poof! She vanished), I would still have thought there was something badly "off" about her? Sure, she was nervous about being a witness, but she seemed so squirmy. . . . . She had a lot of trouble just remembering things. It's not that hard to remember the truth? I just had a bad feeling about her. . .

But yeah, I think both she and Metzger backfired as defense witnesses. Both of them had the necessary notes and medical records. Well, oops?

I wouldn''t rush to state calling her as a witness backfired on the defense, as direct isn't over yet, but I do agree that Metzger definitely backfired big time.

I dont think that they can refute those charges,,,they are what they are, They cannot say that Murray had something in that room that he did not have. The rest of this case is just smoke and mirrors....they have to get through the case....they are trying to make these docs say that MJ was doctor shopping...and that he asked for propofol. which has nothing to do with Murray's standard of care. They can put 20 docs up there and they can all say that MJ asked for prop....that has nothing to do with Murray and his standard of care on June 25th, The defense knows this....they are just trying to get the focus off of murray.

exactly...I agree with you whole post..:clapping:

I thought it was nice of her to say he was a loving person. That's always nice to hear.

I am sorry but what is Red Bull? It sounds like Michael was being healthy and just wanted to sleep. Doesn't age have to do with fatigue too?

But, unlike most she told the world that Michael wasn't an addict or desperate for drug. Yes, she should had went to the polices first, but I do think she did try to help. I will agree with you that she wanted to the hero of the story, but I don't think it was glory reasons.

Agree. yeah shes abit scatty with her notes. but aleast shes got some and is making many points about the tests she did on mj. the sort of tests murray should have. walgren will no doubt make a point of that on cross. yeah in bias but if im on the jury id be feeling pretty sorry for mj right now. the most famous guy in the world asking this woman to sit by his bed and watch him sleep.someone whos vertually a stranger and could take advantage.

@PetersPixieLove trouble sleeping in Feb 2009 because he'd been preparing for TII since Fall 2008. that's when pressure started to grow

Many artists unable to turn off mind will empathize with this insomnia. Michael slept ok when not performing. In bed around 9pm...and slept

Re trial, Dr Metzger confirmed what I've said all along: Michael's insomnia was historic & tour/pressure induced. Nothing to do w/Demerol...

Dr Metzger: MJ's insomnia dated back 15-20yrs. Had problem "coming down" on tour. Just as @jermjackson5 called it..not Demerol-linked #truth

Doesn't it show too that he was willing to do the tests and listen to her advice and trying all these healthy solutions to sleep? He wasn't some junkie that went to doctor to doctor. He just wanted to sleep.

Red bull is an energy drink. full of sugar and caffine.i think ppl need to remember thst she is a hostile witness. murray tried to blame her in his interview. she brought up the diprivan cause everyone was going around saying he was a druggie.mj asked metzger for an i.v so whys it so hard to believe he asked lee. would some of u prefer she threw mj under a bus.

to be clear - she's a hostile witness. so is Metzger and Adams.

I've always felt MJ was a lonely soul. And since he was a child he seemed to be kinda lonely. I confess I felt for him when I watched Bashir documentary and Bashir showed Michael's room full of dolls and games. The way he went to the store at the Venetia in Las Vegas and was buying almost every single item on display, which is some kind of comfort. He didn't have anyone to trust. Everyone who approached him was to take advantage of him. And Murray is no different. He took advantage of Michael to make money out of him. Instead of pumping Propofol into his body every night he should have given Michael advice to seek the proper treatment for his insomnia. .
