Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor"

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @

Didn't someone say Judge Pastor is going to take family member opinions into account? THAT would be a major reason to look at that thing asap to make sure whatever statement the family makes regarding sentencing is as need be.

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @

Maybe, but why would Toya asked for an advance copy now. This doc was talked about not even a day after Murray was found guilty and she said crap about before then. The 'murderous' estate had a statement out long before the family. I also don't understand why she wants to see it a day in advance anyway since it come from the killer, or in her case, the 'fall guy's' mouth. Does she think Murray will name names or something?

This all just don't sound right.

well latoya isn't really the brightest bulb, the most logical thing I can think about is to watch it and prepare themselves to the negative things that can be said.

it's a victim impact statement. The family has the option to talk about how Michael's death has affected them and ask for the maximum sentence. they might or might not do it. that's still to be done on November 29. I don't see how a day would make difference for that either.

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Estate letter @pg18

Wait, what, really? Did he say this?? Did he give any explanation to WHY MJ supposedly hurt him?

hi vici...he was just trying to transfer blame onto the victim. It did not make him look good at all. He was basically saying he got roped into the situation, when he was hired he didn't know about the propofol. I can't remember the exact words but it was almost as though once he was in he was trapped and had to help. I think he was blaming michael for him being in the position he is in now. Yes yes, lets all say it again in unison.......POOR CONRAD MURRAY.

It's hard to explain it clearly but watching it you know what he is trying to do, you can see his self pity and that he is trying to make himself the victim. Poor me, he got me in this trouble sort of thing.

I'm more mad that the defense even played this card. As I said, even if Murray was innocent you don't play the 'poor me' card, especially as your closing statement. Someone has died. The best way to win over people is to show compassion and understanding for the victim, not belittle them.

For example, if you were accuse of raping and murdering someone and you were innocent, would you honestly say, 'she was slut and would had gotten rape eventually anyway'? How would you think this statement would sound to a jury or even public opinion?

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @

After reading some of these posts now. I have definitely decided I am not going to watch it. I really don't know what I was thinking. When I said I might watch it. In an other topic in this section of this site about this program. My depression is already bad enough as it is thanks to that evil monster. Why make it more worst. I am just thankful I have a new episode of my show Deadly Women to watch instead.

You cannot give it rating by watching it if you don't have a rating box at home. I believe this was explained several times earlier in the thread.

Okay cool but, I doubt that will be the case for everyone that will still watch it.

Yes, it probably WILL. A "rating box" must be agreed to and signed for. It doesn't happen mysteriously, or by accident. You'd know if you had agreed to be part of a Nielson survey.

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @

Millions of people must have these ratings boxes then. Channels like to brag about which shows get the highest ratings and they count them in millions.

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Estate letter @pg18

He claimed that because Michael needed him around it was an act of betrayal, so he had to re-evaluate their friendship

lol Seriously he said that? It's ridiculous. He is the only one who signed that contract. MJ haven't signed it. AEG haven't signed it. He can just walk away if he didn't want to do it. Oh, I forget I thought he said he can't abandon his friend. Gosh did he even go back to think whether he makes any sense at all? What a moron.

What I meant was regaurdless people will watch if their interested no matter what. With or without ratings. My issue is with those that will give ratings. But, if those here are watching will not give them ratings then that's fine. thx

It's kind of like political elections and the first prognosis after voting ends. They try to establish a relevant amount of boxes in what they consider all aspects of society. Just as in elections where they try to gauge things by asking people how they voted in all relevant districts, say, poor areas and the richer ones. Not one homogenous mass, but many different target groups. From that they take their calculations. Very much like politics were you can be very much off percentage wise.

I know the estimate can be slightly off, but millions of people DO have those boxes.

No.
Look at wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings
And yet in 2009 of the 114,500,000 U.S. television households[12] only 25,000 total American households (0.02183% of the total) participated in the Nielsen daily metered system.

TV rating system is probably one of the biggest scams of them all...

Exactly.

Like it said here:
By targeting various demographics, the assembled statistical models provide a rendering of the audiences of any given show, network, and programming hour.

The thing is that sponsors hope that they have reached so and so many people who now run out and buy their crescent rolls for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is around the corner in the US and so Pillsbury got cold feet. Pillsbury doesn't want to lose huge business that is all based on the idea of lovely get togethers on Thanksgiving- when 3 children lost their father.
I know that sounds so primitive, but it is true.

THAT'S where you need to go. That's where it's gonna hurt. It's really quite simple. You need to turn off the sponsors until they think that being involved with that garbage goes against their image of wholesome goodness. As long as it sounds like "controversial" they're gonna jump on it. Make it sound like a liability- and they'll go look for something else.

Glad I watched it. Quite revealing . Nothing bad or shocking about Mj.

I was worried he was going to say bad things about Michael. I do not understand why Murray did not tell his side at trial. Murray is not of this planet.

Re: Michael Jackson & the Doctor - Australia Channel 9

not
I think one person could have watched it with the intention of transcribing it or something similar, to avoid fans watching en masse for that reason. Infact, that would probably have been useful from a global perspective because then fans across the world can tune out should it air in US/UK, and totally defeat the hopes of every network airing it. Channel 9 will look at the ratings and think they made a good decision in broadcasting such reprehensible content. If this is seen as socially acceptable as "entertainment" (which they will gauge via ratings), what next?

i understand what u mean and also the think the problem is anything that has mjs name on it fans cant help but watch it. But im not gonna hate on fans that decided to watch it, its their chose

Thats for sure!

Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @

he did say a few things but it made him look bad not michael. If he testified he would have been toast (turned out he was anyway). But he would have had to answer to Walgren who would have torn him apart on the stand. They couldn't risk it, he would have been called out on his lies. I wish he had though, that would've been funny to watch him have a melt down because he clearly believes he is not at fault.

Honestly if Walgren did cross examine him, I would imagine that cross ending with Murray attacking Walgren and trying to choke him. Murray may act calm and cool, but you can tell by those clips of the doc, that man has a temper. He had lip with his own interviewer about why he didn't do A, B, and C.

Nonetheless, it would had been amusing to watch.

That is exactly what I saw in front of my inner eye if he had testified. They would have had to make use of those bailiffs. That face without "expression" was just that, a mask. I didn't find him expressionless, he looked exactly like someone who is extremely pissed off, but wants to give the opposite impression. And his expression slipped a few times.
