To me, the best Billie Jean performance was when he performed it during HIStory Tour in Munich. :wild::dancin:
 
In my opinion, The HIStory Tour had the best Billie Jean...85% of the vocals weren't live but Mike's actual performance is fantastic!

More specifically, I think the first leg of the Tour in '96 was MJ's best. :yes: His dancing and coordination are for the most part smooth and crisp! Look no further than the 'breakdown' at the end of Billie Jean from Kuala Lumpur, Auckland, Sydney and Bucharest '96...:yes:

That said, I'll go with Dangerous. Flawless performance. Breathtaking. Can't take your eyes off him for a second. He holds that stage down entirely on his own.
 
Victory Tour. How can anybody like Billie Jean on the HIStory Tour? Lipsynced, and the dancing wasn't as good IMO.
 
I liked the HIStory performance... but if I had to chose one that isn't mentioned here I'd take the 30th Anniversary show.... Despite him not being well at the time, that performance was breathtaking!

I'd have to go with Victory. From the clip we have, he looked godly moving across that stage.
 
I think Dangerous was the best. He sang live,he was smooth,but he also had speed in his moves,like in the Victory and Bad tours. Sure,HIStory was flawless,dance-wise.But I like the faster moves! :D

This is really hard to say, especially for me as one of the biggest Billie Jean performance lovers of all time! :D

The best performance ever would be if I could take:

- the clothes from the Victory Tour
- the power and fitness by Mike from the BAD Tour
- a few moves from the History Tour he didn't make in the older tours

and put this all together into the Dangerous performance as we all know! :D

So, nevertheless my choice is the Dangerous performance! :)

I wouldnt say so, not by a mile. The moonwalk wasnt even that good at all......sure it was special because it was the first one. But it still wasnt good.

Ill say Dangerous Tour Munich.

It is a great one but there's one reason why I don't like it soooo much:
First let me tell u that the toestand is one of my favorite moves by Mike. He's makin' it very often in this performance, I think about three times. But at the most important point, where he always makes the toestand, right after the moonwalk and the spin, he doesn't! That's why I always go sad in this sec. because everything is perfect, even the camera is showing his feet very closely and then - nothing happens...! DAMN! :D
 
HIStory (esp. the ones in Gotheburg, Auckland, and Munich)

So much attitude and raw emotions. I totally get why some fans say "He's a gangsta" performing the song. I also love the ad-libs and the sexy beat-boxing kind of thing he did almost toward the end.

He owned it on the bucharest tour and I loved how he hit the toe stand.
 
As amazing as he was during the Dangerous Tour, my vote is for the BAD TOUR Billie Jean. There are some moves in there that give me chills everytime I see them. Plus the circle moonwalk...come on. I mean, come ON!

It's really hard to choose between Bad Tour and Dangerous Tour performances... Concerning vocals, definitely Bad Tour but taking the whole performance... I mean vocals and dance routine, I choose Dangerous Tour ;)
 
Bad Tour 1988 performances. I know it's the best even though I haven't seen one in great quality.
 
I voted Dangerous Tour. In order it would be:

Dangerous Tour
HIStory Tour (great moves)
Bad Tour (let down by the sound of Sheryl Crow's orgasms)
Victory Tour
