with all due respect, as a michael jackson fan im interested in HIS music, his visions, his everything, and NOT that interested in anybody elses take on Michael's music. I think it's unfair to call MJ fans "a nightmare" because we're more interested in MICHAELS sound and vision than Pitbulls. Most of us are looking at this from a fan perspective. I respect and understand that the Estate also has have the "we need to make money" aspect.
That being said, if the remixes have to be there because the Estate thinks/hopes it'll bring in new fans, then fine with me :)
 
Its One remix included as part of the Pepsi promotion /deal. You already know it's not a song that is marketed to the fans ( To You) We already got ours and much more than we expected (Yes we did) .. its not going to hurt the release .. dont like it dont listen. its that simple. BAD25 is going to be The BADDEST regardless of our complaining. One remix isnt going to change that - Thank God. I hated Fergies WBSS and I hated Kayne west Billie Jean remix that MJ himself allowed on T25. I HATED IT. but I would rather listen to PB rap a few seconds on a BAD remix that that mess any day. All I know is we shouldn't let one song we may not like ruin the whole Awesome BAD25 experience. We Got 4 other versions of BAD in the BAD25 package. just skip that remix and Enjoy the rest. It's alright if you dont like that remix .. You dont have to like it. If it helps remember it wasnt released or marketed for you. Its for the Pepsi Now Generation :giggle:

The BAD remix with Pitbull is okay. I mean, i don't listen to Pitbull because his music is not my cup of tea. But it doesn't ruin my excitement for the unreleased stuff and the Wembley concert DVD! :) I prefer the club mix with only MJ's vocals.

Just like some of you guys who don't like the remix featuring Pitbull, i'll skip over it. Just an honest opinion, nothing negative.
 
If I don't like something, I state my opinion. Don't know why people have a problem with people having a different view to them. This place would be pretty bland and dishonest if it were just people kissing the estates ass and fawning over everything they do all the time. A lot of fans don't like remixes and think that putting them on albums instead of strictly singles and promo's are a bad idea. That opinion should be represented here too.

Since when giving an honest opinion is complaining? I will skip the remix for sure, and definitely enjoy the rest. But this time the snippet was posted here for us to listen to it and give an opinion. I don't know why the word complain is used so loosely around here when it comes to BAD25. It's discussing and I think that is perfectly alright.
 
I feel that the title of this thread should have an add on: POSITIVE VIEWS ONLY...cuz that's what the intention seems to be..:scratch:
 
I don't like it either, but that's because no remix can hold a candle to Michael's original IMO :)

However, I'm not complaining, this song is not targeting Michael's long-term fanbase.

EXACTLY and as soon as people here realise the whole world doesn't revolve around us the better. The estate needs to target others, not us. I'll reserve my judgement until I've heard the complete track, but regardless of whether I like it or not, it's good to see the estate try to reach out to others outside the MJ fan base.

of course it's alright - I dont like the song myself - i used complain for lack of a better word at the time not to belittle anyone .. I was just saying BAD25 will be BAD whether we like the song or not .. I dont think anyone is being told they have to like the song or that they shouldnt express their dislike. Just to understand why the song is there.

A few more misunderstood your meaning then, because some stated they weren't complaining. Anyway, of course Bad will be BAD no matter what and we're not denying that, but again, expressing our feelings towards the remix is what should happen, that's what the thread was posted for and yes trying to understand WHY it's there it's definitely hard... I don't know why to some it is wrong to say so, if we don't like it we just won't. I don't see people who dislike the remix telling those who think it's targeting other fan-base that it's wrong to say so. However it seems wrong of us to say we are not feeling it.. that's what I'm sensing around here.

This forum is all about respecting others' opinions, yet how come I feel that I can't come on here saying I don't like something, being labelled as 'negative' or 'complaining'..?..how is that respecting anyone's opinion?

Just let people express how they feel....Everyone I see is super stoked for BAD25, but it doesn't mean that we can't give a little criticism ...it's human nature...

I'll say it again, the remix sucks and they took the lazy way out....

Ungrateful? no no no NO! I'm grateful for the stuff we're getting, I just don't feel this remix, how is that ungrateful? please let's not go beyond with the name-calling, respect our opinion as we respect yours. Or else, we'll be having some more mod notes and lord knows how I dislike that, because it's like banning our minds.

Well, then...stop calling people ungrateful...I've mentioned a trillion times that I'm so excited for this release...I even mentioned in this thread I do like the Afrojack mix (I listen to it a lot, actually)...and I'm looking forward to hearing the Speed Demon mix, for example...

I can't wait for this release and I'm counting it down...I just don't like THIS mix....That's all....

I personally like hearing all the opinions on new things being released....Be it in favour or not in favour of the mixes...It just shows how diverse all of our tastes are :D
 
I'm still buying BAD25 reguardless of the 2 Bad remixes being not good IMO. And I'm sure others here who don't like them aswell will do the same. When I don't like something Imma say I don't, it's just as fair as those saying they like it. I can't be fake nor an ass kisser just because. So if that's "whining" or being "ungreatful" to some then oh the hell well. lol Everybody taste is different and there ain't nothin wrong with that and we should all respect that because u don't see me jumping on people for liking these remixes do u? So why do I see the opposite being done to those who don't?
 
In my opinion, it basically comes down to some people not being able to handle any form of criticism whatsoever being levelled at the estate. Why that is, I do not know.
 
Many of us are so excited about The BAD Tour Live at Wembley and the unreleased tracks but we're not exempt to express the things we like and the things we don't like. It's the one of the goals of discussion forums, freedom of expression, isn't it!
 
What's wrong with wanting a perfect release? So the people that like this 'mix' are OK with it being there instead of another unreleased song? I mean the Afrocrap remix is on the album twice. I couldn't care less if Sh**bull is on part of it. It's still the same and I won't listen. The argument this is to draw a young crowd is nonsense. Pitbull is more known for being pathetic with stupid lyrics then he is cool. I know this is 'whining' and 'complaining'...How awful of me to cast my opinion on a public board meant for expressing opinions on topics?!?! I just don't like the fact this takes up space on a CD which could have brand new material, It's not even a good sounding mix either!

Ya, what is up with that? I was basically told to cool it when I made it known I was unhappy about the remix that Pepsi promoted along with the cans because it was a "FREE" download and if I didn't like it all I had to do was not download it.
