Michael Prince & Brad Buxer - Secret Project (Confirmed MJ related - Post #155)

OMAWGD the best news this whole week - praying this to be true and a success :D

Do you think it might be a PR stunt? :)

don't mean to sound harsh, but stop judging before you know what they have/was recorded! just wait for a statement from the estate, it annoys me when fans are ungrateful about new songs/projects etc. we don't deserve anything, we have the gifts Michael released for us and I'm honoured to own such things from the HIStory of a genius.

It's already out there, they should to make a statement as soon as possible. Removing the picture only makes fans bring on more speculations. Unless that's what they want.

What's your problem, after all?

It is pretty obvious...Estate asked him to remove the tweet , may be because he did screw the surprise( well it was already expected)...Same thing happened last year when some one posted news about Bruno Mars LOOH single premiere in 1st Oct....the same situation EXACTLY

someone asking if it may be a (Public Relations) Stunt is not judging the songs or judging anything. They are just asking a question .. There are many questions because as of yet, we don't have Any answers. ( A public relations stunt is something to draw attention ) so they were asking if maybe this is something to draw attention to the project. I don't see anything ungratful being expressed in that statement you replied to. Dorian was not judging the work or the songs as you imply. but in your defense maybe you just didn't understand what PR stunt meant.

I will wait and see. I am still waiting to get Spike Lee documentary and see all the things I didn't get to see yet because i saw the edited version. I would love to see a new album of songs.

I wont make any bold statements about what they are working on becuase we have no info yet .. but Here's a question. Could MP and BB be working on unreleased tracks from the Thriller era, for the 30th Anniversary being Estate just Registered the Copyrights for "The Greatest Album Ever Sold" ?

Beat you to it (check post #162) :D

The fact that Michael Prince pretty much dropped the ball really IS a good idea for PR. Of course that alone probably won't make the news but it sure is circulating around the fan community extremely fast. Although I'm preferring for songs from 1998-2009, we pretty much have a guarantee that we WILL be getting previously unheard Michael Jackson songs. And that's perfect for me :)

If they decide to release an album with just Brad Buxer/MD Prince & possibly Neff-U songs, I want Hollywood Tonight re-released. The original version or Neff-U version if he's on board for this project. I hope he is.

If they decide again on album with different producers I hope they won't mix songs from different eras. Also they should reach out to RedOne. He didn't say like Will that he will never release his songs with MJ.

Imagine the album of Rodney Jerkins material, Brad Buxer/MD Prince & Neff-U material & RedOne songs. That would be amazing. That's how I imagined MICHAEL album would be (+ Will songs, I didn't know that he is a douche back then).

Re: Michael Prince & Brad Buxer - Secret Project (maybe MJ related)

he worked on best of joy in 09.

a reply to dorian, who said mj did not work on any songs in 09.

Best Of Joy is 2008 from Brad Buxer/Michael Durham Prince sessions.

I believe there are 11 songs recorded with Michael Durham Prince & Neff-U in 2009. And also RedOne songs.

I'm excited there's indeed available unreleased material coming up but I'm honestly fed up with the Special Editions of previous albums. No matter if the Estate pulls out a new album with demos, as long as people don't touch the songs.

He's not a douche he's simply not an opportunist and respects MJ by not releasing his unfinished work. BTW, he said in an interview the only way he would release the music is if Katherine asked him too.

Michael did indeed work on songs in 2009. He recorded four or five new ones that year, although I'm not sure who produced them or if they're complete enough for release. Considering Michael's perfectionism and recording style I figure maybe one or two songs could result out of his final sessions.

He will release it one day. Those songs are not his personal property. Those songs belong to Michael Jackson. He worked for Michael. And it's not unfinished work. He said several times in 2007 that the songs are ready to be released tommorow. He just needs to polish them and finish the production.

Can you link me to where he says "these songs are ready to be released tomorrow"? Or something along those lines...

I haven't read the whole thread and I didn't see the Tweet. Did anybody actually say they're working on new (i.e. just before MJ died) material?

Youtube it. Maybe it's still there. There was an interview in 2007 with him. Interviewer asked him: When will we hear the songs? He answered: I would release them tommorow.

Something like that. He meant that they are waiting for MJ. He wanted to release them then.

No. MD Prince just said: New music from MJ soon. And a picture with 12 hard drives. But we assumed that it is new material because he worked for Michael since HIStory Tour until June, 25.

will.i.am is a douche because he constantly taunts the fan community with details about the music he and Michael worked on and then says, "Oh, I can't release them."

Agreed douche for sure. He is just like that because MJ wasn't going to use his material they worked on. Too many computer generated sounds on the T25 mixes for me. Stick with the Peas Will we will be ok.

Say what you want about his music and his production, but those songs have the biggest potential to become number one hits (besides RedOne material of course). His style is popular and people like his music.

I like some of his songs, but I don't like him because of what he's doing with those songs.

But when he work with MJ he make a different kind of music than today(he's sounds was so funky),because today he create more electro-autotune music.

Sorry for my english. I hope you can understand me hehe :)

The only reason Will's music interests me is because, even with a terrible producer, Michael can still make hits.

Will's music is terrible. I mean, listen to Scream and Shout. That's awful.

For me making sure the songs are good is more important than getting a number 1 hit.
