Michael Prince & Brad Buxer - Secret Project (Confirmed MJ related - Post #155)

I know Will i am stated he doesnt have Michael's vocals only his part of the music , becuase MJ kept them separate. Becuase he didnt want to risk any leaks. He stated that on a UK talk show. So He would have to collaborate with the estate to get the vocals to produce those songs. If what he says is true. Seems they were not finished. (mixed)

Will's music nowadays is crap, but back in 2007 he was doing some great works, and the album "The E.N.D." was great, and that was released in 2009.

Didnt know michael did songs inn 2009 as i thought he wouldnt have had time to do them as he was working on this is it

^^ There were days during rehearsal for This Is It when Michael wasn't required to show up. On those days he went to studios in and around Los Angeles and continued work/began recording several new songs.

Michael was indeed working on an eleventh studio album. He had written and recorded material with the likes of Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, RedOne, will.i.am, Neff-U, Brad Buxer and Michael Prince in his final years alongside receiving a few dozen demo recordings from Ne-Yo, John Legend and Marsha Ambrosius. It's unknown how many songs are actually complete enough for release though.

The only reason Will's music interests me is because, even with a terrible producer, Michael can still make hits.

Will's music is terrible. I mean, listen to Scream and Shout. That's awful.

I LOVE Scream and Shout! Will.I.Am is a versatile producer! Time change, and Will.I.Am is a smart businessman. His production skills are top notch.

What he did with Thriller 25 was not was he is really capable of.

This sounds so promising, I would love to hear 'Slave' 'Blue Gangsta' and 'A place with no name' all three of those sounds are worthy of he's past works imo and beats the hell out of anything in the charts these days! The Michael album was such a wasted oppotunity but hopefully mistakes have been learned from.

Nobody get mad at me but I am just thinking if it's too soon for a new album. With the cirque shows and everything happening and they just did bad 25. I don't want people to get sick of Michael or anything like that with too many things.

I used to think like you but now I changed.
Now that MJ is not here they can’t make people wait years for another release like when MJ was around.

^ I agree with Marebear. I mean, that he isn't around anymore (has) to be/make it more special to get some of him released. I won't be as exciting if they'd release everying in the coming 5 years, and after that it stops(or just will fade away slowly).
They have to keep it alive, not get over with everything at once and keep re-releasing his unreleased material, cause at some point, everything will get out there eventually whether it's official or just leaked..

he was working on a cd during the rehearsals and was to release a new cd during the tour, confirmed by that photo that was leaked of his note in 2009.

Looks like: "one year in London" Then maybe "3d" (?) Then "#international # 1 2 3 4 5 albums and single." Then "Talk to digital people, Universal, Warner, Make huge $". Then "Who's doing scultpture for Halloween special" (??))

Thanks a lot!

#international #1 2 3 4 5 albums and single... - What does that mean? Did he want to make 5 new albums?

I repeat, I used to think that way and I understand that for us, hardcore fans every release is a treasure and of course it has to be extra special :)
But I understand what the Estate is doing also. They have released a lot of products in 3 years to take advantage of what his sudden death caused to people. As cold as it sounds, I understand it's part of the business.

I think he didn't work with Teddy Riley after Invincible. You are right about others. And you forgot Akon.

Teddy Riley went to Ireland in 2006 for a few weeks before will.i.am showed up and worked on a few new tracks with Michael. They regrouped a few more times over the next three years but for the most part collaborated through email. And yeah I did forget Akon! Thanks for pointing that out. I also left out Claude Kelly, who is said to have two or three unreleased songs by Michael in addition to Hold My Hand.

Thanks. I didn't know that Teddy visited MJ in Ireland. But I doubt that they recorded anything because Teddy would brought it up for MICHAEL album instead of working on **** songs.

And Claude Kelly didn't write for MJ. He wrote Hold My Hand originally for Whitney Huston. He didn't even know that MJ recorded it until it leaked. I never heard that he wrote any other song for MJ after that. That might be false information.

Well, Claude and RedOne wrote a song for MJ called " true" but it ended that MJ didn't record it (i don't remeber if he even checked the demo or not) and then the song ended to Brandy, here it is:

The song is produced by RedOne......and i really love the song :D

Just becuase someone states they were writing a song for MJ doesn't mean MJ reviewed, seen or even recorded it.
The song "True" was never even presented to Michael even if it was written for him in mind. and so is the fate of many songs

Akon gave information about Hold my Hand and Claude kelley and so did Claude Kelly respond and say the same. He was not writing songs for Michael and never met or even talked to Michael. Was suprised to learn Akon and MJ recorded HMH. Akon got HMH song from Claude Kelly . He was thinking of having Whitney record it but then ended up introducing it to to MJ and they recorded it. No other songs from claude were introduces or recorded by MJ. Akon claimed he didnt have any other songs recorded either.

Many artist and people claim they wrote a song for Michael but most were never seen or recorded by MJ. Any one can say they wrote a song with MJ in mind. That doesn't mean MJ reviewed or seen the song. NEYO said he presented many songs to MJ but MJ said keep perfecting them. Neyo said none were used or recorded . I presume it is the same case for many. many of the people named here may have had songs they were working on in 2008-2009 to present to MJ but that doesn't mean Michael is present on any of them. Many use it for publicity saying I was workign on a song for MJ .. That doesn't mean squat if MJ wasn't working on it also ..

Teddy does have a number of releasable outtakes dating way back to the summer of 1990; I don't know whether or not they were submitted for Michael though. For the most part the Estate gave him songs to reproduce like Hollywood Tonight and Blue Gangsta. This isn't the place to talk about the Cascio tracks so I won't comment.

No more songs from Akon.

At one point Akon considered taking the few vocals recorded and using them as a featured spot on one of his songs. There are one or two recordings that have over twenty seconds of releasable vocals - not a lot, but enough for a guest appearance.

Just becuase someone states they were writing a song for MJ doesn't mean MJ reviewed, seen or even recorded it.

That is true, but as you said, Hold My Hand wasn't presented to Michael by its original composer (Claude Kelly) - it was submitted by a mutual friend (Akon). Despite the fact that Claude and Michael never formerly met there is always the chance that someone (more than likely RedOne, due to previous statements by Akon) was the mutual friend and handed in one of Claude's demos. The estate has yet to register ALL the unreleased material that Michael has recorded in his final years (none of the will.i.am or RedOne demos are registered as of yet, along with material done with Brad Buxer and Neff-U) so for now all we can do is hope.

Teddy worked on Hollywood Tonight, Breaking News, Monster & Burn Tonight. He didn't work on Blue Gangsta. That is Dr. Freeze song. I believe the leaked version is un-edited original version from Invincible sessions.

dont understand why it isnt on the invincible album!
blue gangsta is killing me :)
