Source? Where did you hear that? On a facebook fan site or a MJ fan forum?
I do hope you are right of course. But it seems like people are just guessing.
I will wait with getting exited till an official announcement is made!

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

We can all like Love Never Felt So Good but we have to admit no matter what they did to it, it's not good enough to be the 1st single. That is a fact. When you have Chicago, APWNN, BG, Xscape, Slave & DYKWYCA on the album!

Also why did they hire Timbaland & Stargate? Why didn't John McClain do the whole album then?

Sorry, have you heard Chicago? Or any of the mixes in full? I'm not saying you will be proved wrong but I don't know how you can say that yet?

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

I hope that when people manage to hear the new mixes, they actually give the songs a chance. Sometimes the best songs in life aren't the ones you love straight off the bat, but ones you love after hearing them properly a few times :)

To me it's clear that this is not about releasing the best song or song that will have impact on the charts.

It's all about to prove that John McClain is the boss and all other producers are just employees. Also it is Thriller era track and everything after Thriller is not good enough to be played on the radio.

They could have had Top 5 hit, instead they will be lucky if they get Top 40.

Sorry man but you can't say that is a fact unless you're a psyhcic.
And i don't understand your reasoning. Just because michael released Black or White as the 1st single he shouldn't have worked with teddy riley?

A good song is a good song no matter who worked on it, and besides that we will probably get more singles after the album is released. Have faith mate

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Let's wait and see. Based on the demos I would have thought Blue Gansta will impress more than LNFSG but the latter actually got better reviews from the media, so who knows what the new mixes do to these songs? It's useless to moan about them now that we don't even know how each of them sound.

If the first single do well. That's what I'm saying. We'll probably get 2 singles. But we could have had 4.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Qbee!!!

QQQQbbbbeeeeeeee, where you at?

When will your story arrive????

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

can somebody show me a picture of john mcclain? Is he just a producer or is he also a lawyer aswell?

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

I don't get the constant bickering & whining!

Almost all reviews of the press were majorly positive!
Then there's the listening party with many great fan clubs from all over the world & the unisono tenor of this gathering is pure enthusiasm & love & excitement for all of these 8 tracks! Not only the tracks, but the whole project & the people behind it, all sounds almost too good to be true! It's magic & a dream in the making...
It seems the one who heard the tracks even have a consent opinion about what the single should be & guess what it's the song which is chosen by the ones in charge! So can we just trust them that they will do it right!

Can't some people just let it go & be happy & excited about what's in store for us? Let it play out as THEY have planned for us!!! If you would do it another way, become an artist, become an executive or CEO & do it the way you want! If you can't, than just let it go & STOP with the moaning - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Mystery track on Michael Jackson’s ‘XSCAPE’ album is called “Lovin’ You” – Track list complete!

It’s been almost two weeks since The Estate of Michael Jackson and Epic Records announced the May 13 release of the new Michael Jackson album ‘XSCAPE’. Although no track list has been announced as of yet, fans have been able to piece most of it together based on the reports published by those who attended private listening sessions arranged by Epic’s CEO L.A. Reid.

What we know for certain is that there will be eight songs on the album. Before today, seven of those eight tracks had been identified. Following new revelations that have come to pass today, it seems we can officially lock in the eighth and final track.

The track list is as follows:

1. Love Never Felt So Good
2. Chicago (She Was Lovin’ Me)
3. Lovin’ You
4. A Place With No Name
5. Do You Know Where Your Children Are
6. Slave To The Rhythm
7. Blue Gangsta
8. Xscape

Track #3 on the album, called “Lovin’ You”, was a mystery until today. Here’s how it was identified and ultimately confirmed:

Two days ago Epic Records and The Estate held a listening session at Jim Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles – the same studio in which Jackson famously recorded “We Are The World”. This listening session, hosted personally by Epic CEO, L.A. Reid, and Estate co-executor, John Branca, was held especially for a select group of fans whom the Estate flew in from as far and wide as Spain, Germany, Japan, UK, the Netherlands as well as cities within the United States.

Matt Blank, the representative of Michael Jackson World Network that attended the LA listening session, reported that according to L.A. Reid, track #3 is called “Loving You”.

“I asked L.A. Reid to confirm the title of track three, asking if it was ‘Loving you’ and he said yes,” revealed Blank via Twitter, adding: “This (“Lovin’ You”) was a lyric repeated a lot during the chorus… None of us have seen the tracklisting written down… but as I said I did ask for confirmation.”

With Blank’s statements in mind I set out on trying to confirm the origins of “Lovin’ You”. Here’s what I found:

Michael Jackson wrote and recorded the track in the mid-80s before bringing the multi-track tapes to his trusted engineer, Matt Forger, to mix.

“One day MJ came into the Hayvenhurst Studio and asked me to mix it and gave me the multi-track,” recalled Forger. “He did the song at another studio. He just brought me the tape to mix,” he continued, adding that it was likely John Barnes who played on it. “He worked with him a lot in that era.”

Forger told me that the track is vocally complete, which fits with L.A. Reid’s strict terms and conditions of only including songs that Jackson recorded complete, multi-track vocals for.

“I remember it as an RnB style, mid-tempo love song,” said Forger, which matches perfectly with the descriptions of journalists and fans who’ve heard it. “It was a good song, just not in serious consideration for the BAD album. One of many that were recorded and put away.”

Below is a collection of statements regarding “Lovin’ Me” derived from articles published over the last two weeks:

“The third song played is another Off the Wallesque, mid-paced love song with a youthful, almost naive-sounding vocal. It feels very much like a song that didn’t make it on to an old album, and while the production is good – there’s an amazing rolling beat throughout – it still feels slight,” reported journalist Michael Cragg after attending a listening session in the UK, while Lewis Corner, also at that session, described it as a flowing ’80s-tinged serenade with orchestral bursts and choral harmonies.

A critic who heard the track during the Paris listening session likened the song to “Liberian Girl” and described it as being a nostalgic track with a minimalist-type production and whirling synths.

Another attendee of that same Paris listening session told me that the track was a smooth mid-tempo love song about a girl. He said it has an RnB feel, “Reminiscent of the ‘Off The Wall’ approach Jackson and producer Rodney Jerkins had developed on ‘Invincible’ for songs like ‘You Rock My World’,” adding that: ”It has a slight ‘The Jacksons’ feel; like in their ‘Triumph’ days.”

Joseph Vogel, author of ’Man in the Music: The Creative Life and Work of Michael Jackson’, discussed the track briefly from his Twitter account, also confirming that the track is a mid-tempo from the 1980s and: “Not a song that people have heard.”

And Vogel is right; people around the world, myself included, have never heard this song before. Vogel, however, has been privileged enough to have heard the entire album on more than one occasion – first in L.A. Reid’s office, and again at the Top of the Rock listening session in NYC on April 8.

“I can’t wait to check out the album,” Matt Forger told me as we wrapped up our conversation. “I’ve heard about it but I haven’t heard any of the new stuff,” he said, adding that it’s pleasing to see so many positive reviews.

‘XSCAPE’ is released worldwide on May 13, 2014

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

People keep complaining about LNFSG, I dont understand it. Its a fantastic song but I think people are blinded by the lack of production on the demo and the fact we have heard it since forever etc.... I mean STTR isn't a very good song at all, its extremely boring, the same couple notes over and over again, not much variation, everytime I ask people why they like STTR they say MJ's voice is the reason, its the same with a few of the songs going on this album, its all about the voice and not the song. MJ loved melody, LNFSG has that, and with this new disco vibe back in theres a chance to make the song classic/modern.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

And another thing:

It also doesn't matter if these single(s) become Nr.1 hits or the album breaks records. As long as the effort is their & each and everyone WHO BUYS this album enjoys it & experiences happiness through it - the goal is reached!

If i'm happy with this project - then the job they did is good enough for me! Everything else, from Nr.1 singles, strong album sales & hype & buzz in the media/public is just a bonus.

They can work toward such goals, but it's never guaranteed. And i certainly believe that they know what they are doing this time around. And if it won't happen i strongly doubt that any super fan on a fan board could have done it any better! I hope you all understand what i mean...

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Ok bad25 I have tried to keep from saying anything but feel I have to now.
1. Michael had a wonderful relationship with John Mc, also with La! This album sounds like it is being blessed with plenty of L.O.V.E. Promotion sounds like it's going to be insane! And yesssssssss the estate has listened and are going to have Michael style short films! For me that shows that they will make this is a huge difference to the Michael album. It also shows that the estate and the now new Sony team want to make this album huge!
From what I have read there is something for everyone. To quote Michael " his tapestry of sounds " he was crafting. Maybe with this release it will encourage others as William and red one to release there works , with Michael.
All I ask from La and the estate is let every song live please , do a short film for all 8 songs. To encourage sales put unreleased tracks be it leaks of old ones a
eg. Niteline etc, on the cd single release maybe instrumental versions.
i for one cannot wait for this. All the nay Sayers will have to eat humble pie very soon. I really have faith in the estate this time , plus the new Sonyteam.

Roll on the 13th May thus is the true comeback on the king of pop.

Terry

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

First single has to be fast song. Hold My Hand was much better song than LNFSG and it hardly got into top 40.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Spot on mjjuniour! U are so correct.

The other plus thing about this album is it has most fans excited again, it really is like Michael was pushing this.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Onir you have no idea what the finished original lnfsg sounds like or the new mixed version, just. Give it a chance.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

1. Love Never Felt So Good -> leftover from Victory(?) sessions
2. Chicago (She Was Loving Me) -> leftover from Invincible sessions
3. Loving You -> leftover from Bad sessions
4. A Place With No Name -> leftover from Invincible sessions
5. Do You Know Where Your Children Are -> leftover from Dangerous sessions
6. Slave To The Rhythm -> leftover from Dangerous sessions
7. Blue Gangsta -> leftover from Invincible sessions
8. Xscape (Escape) -> leftover from Invincible sessions

why did LA Reid said the chosen material consist of 4 decades?
