You are not alone in this. For me he looks like mid 20's and doesnt even look any different than in 87. His face is so masculine yet so angelic, I cant even explain it. If i were there I would not be able to take my eyes of him. And when he smiled, gosh, dont even get me started on that topic

Oooh- I agree. The original is definitely better! I didn't realize it was edited or else I wouldn't have posted it, of course. Looks like they tried to make him look more "feminine"- his head, and maybe it's just me, but his head seems to look a little narrower and more "oval" shaped. Ugh. Now that I look at it and compare the two I hate what they did.
Anyhow... I agree with you. "Bad" was a very good era Dangerous was pretty good too....
I like this one but I prefer the unedited version, they added a bit too much make-up on him and seems they even altered the shape of his lips a bit

Oh don't get me wrong- I love, respect and appreciate all that he ever was, and the talent that he possessed whether he was 5, 15, 25... it didn't matter. In fact, I am in total awe when I look at pictures of his younger days and I just think, "What must be going on in his head?" He possessed such incredible talent for such a young age, it blows my mind to even think about it. And I agree, you don't often see many pictures around of Michael in his younger years. When people think of him, I think they have this picture of how he was from probably about the mid-80's onward.
When it comes to thinking about him and his attractiveness, for me personally, I think it's the difference between seeing him as a boy and seeing him as a "man". I don't know how old he was during this photoshoot- I'd say probably in his teens- and he was a good-looking kid for sure, but I would never look back and say "oh he was hot back then" or "he was so sexy when he was 16!" because:
1) now that I'm an adult I think that just sounds wrong (I even have a hard time looking back on people I had crushes on when I was a kid and thinking they were cute as teenagers; it just seems wrong to me to have that mentality now as an adult) and
2) Even when I was that age, even as a teen, I never liked guys in my own age group. I always found them to be gross and immature So I've always found myself to be attracted to older men. It's nothing against Michael... but for me, teenage boys are just- they've never done anything for me. (Oh god, this just sounds so horribly wrong if taken out of context, lol).
3) And again, for me personally, I really don't see Michael as a "man" until about late 70's/early 80's... "Thriller"-era. That doesn't mean I view him as any less or respect him as any less in the years previous to that. That's just how it goes for me. Dangerous introduced me to him, but looking back, Thriller was the turning point, and "Bad" sealed the deal :lol:

I was aware of The Jacksons and Off the Wall in elementary school, fell in love with him during Thriller years (just started high school), wanted to run away with him to Neverland during Bad (starting college/work life), and Dangerous and beyond... well, he's had a piece of my heart for a very long time (even when I married my only boyfriend, had two beautiful boys, and worked hard in my library profession), he's always turned my head at every "era."

Did he get his mole removed?....I noticed that in later years he just has an indentation in the same place. Or was the mole just an indented one that lost pigmentation later on because of his vitiligo? Or did he just fill in the indentation to look like a mole?....I've always wondered about it.

From the pictures I have seen of him he had it removed around the Thriller era. Like in the pictures from his photoshoot at Disney in that era it is gone and there's like a small hole in that place on his cheek

As for the eras and 'looks', I think Spyce and my girl Lil summed it up perfectly, I mean, my younger sister has a MAJOR CRUSH on Off The Wall Michael and Fro Michael, she's 4 years younger than me, so Lil's comment makes lots of sense... you feel attracted the era that suits your age... or is within your current age group (to some of us it's about that... not speaking for everyone, of course) For example, I'm 26 right now and I'm very... very, very obsessed with the Bad era... :lol: I always will... I guess.. :lmao: BUT when I was around 19 or 20 I was MAD about Thriller and OTW eras.. what does that tell you? it can't be coincidence IMO. I don't think it's us fans 'ignoring' his earlier years, really, for some it just has to do w/ the era you identify with the most, sometimes that feeling might last permanently or years, it's up to each of us to decide, I guess, but there's no denying we ALL love Michael for WHO he was as well as for the beautiful... package... that unique man came wrapped in.
