Sorry Michael but after watching all those sexy and sensual performances over the years, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. From his USA Today interview in 2001:

Question: Do your religious beliefs ever conflict with the sexy nature of your music or dancing?

Michael: No. I sing about things that are loving, and if people interpret it as sexy, that’s up to them. I never use bad words like some of the rappers. I love and respect their work, but I think I have too much respect for parents and mothers and elderly people. If I did a song with bad words and saw an older lady in the audience, I’d cringe.

I want you to see it.” So we pushed playback, and I went “Aaaah!” I didn’t realize I was doing that. But then everyone else started doing that, and Madonna, too. But it’s not sexual at all.

But he does use "bad" words. He drops the f-bomb once (Scream, "Stop ****ing with me"), and while he doesn't say it himself, in another song one of the rappers says "My n---a Mike". In the same song ("This Time Around") he says "I ain't takin' no shit", and, in "Morphine", he says "bitch" and "shit" few times,

Now, granted, over the course of his career, these few instances of cursing are really no big deal. And when compared to many artists of today, especially rappers where every other word is a curse word, this is also not that big of a deal. But, he cannot say that he doesn't use such words, because he does.

Just sayin'.....

As for the crotch-grabbing, I think you're right. Maybe for "Bad", it was unintentional, but as he progressed, I have a hard time believing he did use that move, at least some times, on purpose. Panther Dance obviously comes to mind. That was done on purpose, and John Landis even confirms it. But if Michael says it was not on purpose, I will take his word for it. Though I do no believe him, lol.

Yes, Michael use cursing words in some of his songs but I truly believe some people can say bad words without being vulgar and it's his case. Also you have to remember he went literally through hell with that massive crusade to destroy him in 1993. I didn't expect soft and condescending songs whatsoever, he was furious and heartbroken.

I don't take his word in the grabbing crotch case, it'd be one of the few times I haven't believed him. :p

I agree with you 100%. There is a difference between art, and just using vulgar words for the simple sake of being vulgar. And, as we all know, he was not being vulgar in any sense of the term. He had every right to say the things he said, and to feel the way he did.
