Wheter you like the song or not, Can't Get Outta The Rain was part of the Thriller campaign, as a B-side. It makes sense to include it.

After reading quincy's word on the song, i feel it does make sense.

also look at the fonts, they would have to use something more sterile and less whimsical like the fonts on "Got the Hots" and "Behind the mask" in order for it to look right.

on top of that, i'd say it will be facing inwards to line up with Got the Hots and Behind The Mask.

Have you looked at the other b-sides of the Thriller singles?

Should they also have included "It's The Falling In Love" & "Get On The Floor" ??

If they EVER do a Dangerous Anniversary Edition, should they include "Girlfriend" as one of the bonus tracks because it was the b-side of "Will You Be There" ??

I'll help you with the answer: No, they shouldn't.

CGOTR is not Thriller era. It isn't even Off The Wall era. It originates from The Wiz movie. Even on OTW album it would sound dated.
It totally sounds out of place on any Thriller project.

if MJ re-recorded the songs for the B-sides, i believe so yes.

We already have bad girl

But what did they re-record?
They took the last 4 minutes from "You Can't Win" (7 minute version) and overdubbed ONE word. So the song changed from 1978 to 1982 in that one word "Game" to "Rain". And that makes it a Thriller outtake?? I'm confused.

I mean if you look at the pattern with the b-sides of the Thriller singles, it's pretty clear.
They took OTW era-, or even older recordings and threw them on Thriller singles as b-sides. It's obvious to me, that that’s exactly what happened with "CGOTR".

They could've at least release the demo for it lmao. I doubt any Paul McCartney stuff will be present here.
considering the mj musical as a tribute to thriller did TGIM, i think paul might have a say in it all.

hell, they might release the demo in the music video.

I think we'll get the HQ leak with rough vocals which was recorded at Michael's home studio.
No I don't think so because if you look closely, only the final demo has practically disappeared and been removed from youtube. The incomplete demo is still available without any real deletion anywhere. To prove my point watch this video:

You're being foolish. It's The Falling In Love and Get On The Floor were released before Thriller. Can't Get Outta The Rain wasn't – it was released as part of the Thriller campaign.

It doesn't matter when Michael worked on stuff. Your reasoning makes Earth Song a track from the Dangerous era. That's stupid. It's the moment that Michael decides the song is finished that counts. And Michael decided to release Can't Get Outta The Rain as a part of the Thriller campaign.

LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!
HELL YEAH! I’m stunned! I was under the impression for the longest time that “Billie Jean” was shot on tape and couldn’t be restored. Never been happier to be wrong. I can’t wait.
Which are the other 2 videos that remain according to mkgenie? Motown 25? And?
I believe Motown 25 was shot on tape, so if it was upscaled, it’s definitely digital/AI work. As for the fifth video, perhaps the Making Of documentary?

Yeah, Billie Jean was shot in 16mm as clarified before.

Yes, Motown 25 is tape.

Human Nature full video from Moonwalker? :)
The 'Human Nature' full music video never existed, simply because they never shot a music video for that song.

They only created a brief, animated video clip in order to accompany the song's brief audio in the 'Moonwalker' film.

Besides, if the 'Human Nature' music video existed, then it would have been included on the 'Visionary: The Video Singles' box set (2006).

Well, no, because Scream had a short film, which was also the most expensive ever, and didn't appear in Visionary either.

Note that Janet Jackson and her record company are involved in 'Scream', as well.

So, apparently there has been a royalty dispute regarding 'Scream' (between Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, or between their record companies).

This seems to explain why 'Scream' has been continually excluded from Michael Jackson's compilation albums, greatest hits albums, box sets, music video box sets, and so on.

So let's pretend there is no such a compilation in 2017 called Scream, or that 2011 remix album Immortal

Uh. What?

“Scream” is likely excluded because, in the grand scheme of things, it isn’t as popular of a song as “You Are Not Alone,” “Black or White,” or any of MJ’s other chart-toppers. Excellent song, but let’s not act like it has as much cultural dominance as many others. To claim that it’s a royalty dispute is completely presumptuous and ridiculous.

Scream was released on several KOP compilation cds.

Scream was also included in the 2017 album.... Scream.....
