I really think we should push for a retraction. I know it's gonna be hard...but Jermaine by being the tool that he is has opened the door for us.

I have never seen a magazine blamed for a misquote before...usually it is the freelance writer...but anyway, Jermaine thinks we are stupid...so let's play along.

He is putting all the blame on Ok Magazine. I think this is an opportunity for us to ask him to put his money where his mouth is. If he truly believes this was fabricated by Ok mag (I thought the writer wrote the story not the magazine) , the logical thing to do would be to ask Daphne & Aaron to demand a retraction or at the very least a correction.

But he hasn't done neither of that. I suspect Daphne got to him (jackson & Barack have a long history)....that is why he deleted the original tweet attacking cowards and started defending Aaron within less than 24 hours.

So in my opinion:

1)we should pressure Jermaine to request a correction or retraction

2) at the same time, fans should bombard Ok mag, letting them know that they are being blamed for fabricating the interview ..and also asking for a retraction

I have been trying to get someone at OK magazine New York office to get me Richard Spencer (their Editor's in chief) ...

I will keep trying all day.

If someone could prepare a professional letter to the editor...we each individually could sign and email it to Spencer that would be a great step. At least we wouldn't feel as powerless.

They are hoping the story will die so they can move on to enjoy the fruit of their duplicity...but we shouldn't let them get away with this betrayal.

Who does Daphne Barack actually work for? Maybe we could contact her employers and make a stink over that? Maybe we could contact sponsors of OK magazine to try to get them to put pressure on the magazine?

She is a freelancer...but she has been selling interviews to Ok Magazine for years. She pays her subjects and sell the interview to various magazines for profit.
That is why I am doubly frustrated...they think we are fools...but Daphne has a long history with ok magazine...she wrote that piece. No one misquoted Aaron. She wanted to make waves by riding MJ's coattails...and Aaron Carter let her.

I must admit I was going to jump in and correct you, as I only saw Jermaine's tweet condemning Aaron. However I went on his Twitter page and saw the link posted to Barak's interview. He seems to suggest that it was editing that is to blame for this and the media has run away with this. I have zero interest in listening to the interview, as I don't want to give that witch a hit to her website, let's remember this isn't the first time she's lied about Michael. All I know is that Michael was a victim of lies, media edits, and people still using him for their own agendas. It makes me sick.

Although, they should stand up for Michael, it won't help dispel the story because the media and public don't take his family seriously, and for good reason. It has to come from someone who has the power to persuade, and is taken seriously. Such as the Estate.
 
How are we given her hits to her site when at least two people have copied the video to youtube so people, can freely see it without having to go to her site!?

YES..that is what I noticed to....Jermaine is to busy being friends with everyone...he wants no enemies....as MJ's brother it is his DUTY to stick up for Michael....to DEMAND a retraction. I'll tell ya..IF he does that,,,I will have a whole knew respect for Jermaine,,,because as of right now,,,,I have NONE!!

What about other family members' twitter accounts. Can these be posted as well so we can find them easily, if anyone knows what they are.

Does OK magazine have a twitter account? Can we slam them with information about this to show we hold them responsible as well and as consumers we won't stand for it?

Their handling of this has been surprising. Just say something.

I guess Elvis fans were right when they said MJ wouldn't have anyone to fight for his reputation.
 
Can we not always bash Jermaine when people attack Michael?

I have impression whatever Jermaine does he's being unfairly lynched.

I for one dont want to attack Jermaine....ya know how he keeps saying that he feels as though he was Michael's backbone...he said it again in the NL interview with Larry King??....Well this here is a fine time for him to show that he IS Michael's backbone. imo. Guess we wait and see what happens.

email is less intrusive but it might take some time (especially with the july 4th). phone would be faster but would be okay if only 1 person called him.

I don't think a petition is strong enough. A professionally worded letter would be best.

Also I DO NOT think we should use their EDITED clip as a support argument. It was clearly edited out. We can't mention then dichotomy but we cannot based our whole campaign on that clip that they sliced & diced to their liking.

But we should ask Frank Cascio is he is willing to issue a longer denial as someone WHO WAS there. That should be our strongest argument. Also, we can extent an invitation to Christ Tucker and maybe ..they could refer us other people would gladly share they own story.

ETA. I have Richard Spencer's assistant info..but I have to double check the information. Also if someone could research Ok Australia...we need their editor's name & contact as well. Thought the letter should be address to OK mag..it shouldn't be limited to just them

I agree. If may turn out he indeed said this.

The best would be to use the testimony of people who were there. Chris Tucker, Frank Cascio etc.

At the moment, Pasetsky is remaining on staff as managing editor, but Richard Spencer, the former In Touch editor who surprised many by leaving abruptly this summer, has been tapped to replace him in the top spot. I agree. Guys, I don't think we should make "Aaron did not say this" as our main argument. More than likely it was an agreed PR stunt...so he is definitely in on this.

Our strongest points will come from Frank Cascio, Christ Tucker, Rodney Jerkins and Tom Mesereau.

We cannot use Daphne's own clips as MJ's defines. And I think fans should stop saying HE DID NOT say that. We don't know that...the clip was edited for the very people who are out to defame Michael.

Twinklee, I don't think TMZ covered it. We would have heard about it.

I am extremely dissapointed with the estate,They should have nipped this in the bud before it went viral.
