It can't get worse. (Quality-wise) we 've hit the bottom with the "Michael" release. (Quantity-wise) we may get a similar second and/or third release.

As for the HT second single, I don't even consider it a single. It's not even physical CD and the mp3 is already available for download.

If we get a video to coincide, I expect a mediocre montage of videos from Bucharest concert, music videos and generally nothing new.

And really, after "This is it" soundtrack, "Vision", and "Michael", can you blame me for thinking like that?

one has to wonder why millions of dollars were spent on the Sony contract if they don't even bother to promote what they release. I doubt this would have happened if the Estate had signed with Universal or any other label. who hasn't heard of the new Britney Spears song or the Lady Gaga song? Britney Spears even released PREVIEWS of her new video. This is the kind of strategy and hype that an MJ release should get and would get... if he was alive. The way things are now, I'd be happy if they just put out the single NOW with a video, and hope for HT to chart well. But honestly, I don't have much faith in the future of this album, only if they decided to go with massive promo now, but I highly doubt that. It seems to me as if they were putting it under the rug after the Cascio controversy and waiting patiently to put out OTW 2011, a release that will certainly sell well and that'll probably get the kind of publicity Thriller 25 got.

...but it is not yet clear which markets will get a physical CD.

Heard it on German radio today.

The intro was missing and the spoken part was cut after "she wanted it bad".

I'm wondering if it's true "Michael dug it out of the archives" and worked on it in 2007 in Vegas. Dr Freeze says it's the exact same song that was recorded for Invincible at Neverland, it's lyrically/vocally incomplete and was completely reproduced by Teddy Riley last year.
If MJ did work on it three/four years ago, what exactly did he do on the song? Because there's nothing in the 2010 version that comes from that period, when he's supposed to have worked on it again. Incomplete vocals are from late 90s/early 00s and the rest is newly produced (last September).

Isn't it weird HMV or any other webstore hasn't got the physical single on their site yet?

I mean HMH was available for preorder long long before it was actually released.

Anyone has a link? to HT and/or BTM physical single?

I guess it's just a new, great marketing strategy by The Estate. You know, the shock factor.
Well done John & John.

re: the spoken bridge changes in the official single - it's really great it's down to almost nothing now!!!! I'm so happy.

complete bridge in single:

she gave up her life
to follow her dreams
left behind everything
for the movie scene

nothing more she can want
she was determined to follow her plan
she wanted hollywood, she wanted it bad

I heard it 3 times yesterday - 6am (ish), 10am (ish), and on my way home from work at 5.30 (ish).

It's been on twice this morning, already, once of the Chris Evans show. I expect to hear it another couple of times during the day.

Go Radio 2!!

Maybe it's marketing - or ignorance.

Are they not releasing anything in US etc? I find this confusing.

not like it would be such a big loss for the US market... Michael has had zero appreciation for a long time now... Guess Gaga and Rihanna are more important now...

I find it hard to believe that the world's greatest entertainer that ever lived doesnt get the promotion he deserves. It used to be a global event when a new MJ song of video was released. It still could be now if the project had the right people working on it...

Exactly! That is disgusting.. That Rihanna looks like a hooker and she acts like one on stage.. I can't stand her.

Rhianna humping sex dolls in her new music video "S&N" and Lady Gaga being carried in an egg gets more attention than Michael today. Something is wrong with this world.

What I don't understand is how can someone look at those kind of things and go: "Wow, that's so unique and sooo kewl!"... No it's not, it's just stupid and lacks in imagination. The two of them probably got really high and had people write down various ideas that they'd come up with while they were high, so that later they could to all of those things in order to be considered unique and original.

that's because people have become such a mediocrity... it's so easy to entertain them.
