It's been reported that Michael struggled with feelings of being unloved from his father and feeling he had to perform to receive love.

Do you think he realized how much fans loved him unconditionally? It seemed like he did when he addressed the London crowd when he announced his shows. I have not stopped crying since he died.

The world will never know a more kind soul.

I think Michael knew how much he was loved by the fans.
But I don't think that the love of fans can compensate for the love of parents or people that are really around you and know you in reality.

I think he knew a lot of people loved him but I'm no sure he really realized just how much. I think where ever he is right now he can feel the love and he's overwhelmed by it. :)

Love and miss you forever Mike!

I hope he can feel it now too.

i think he knew how much we loved him, but he didn,t see how deep the love is/was...

knowing you are loved is one thing....knowing how deep that love is, is something different.

He knows by now....

Of course he knew. I think that's what helped him through all the crap in his life, he awlays knew that his fans would always be there and never let him down. Knowing we loved him gave him strength

I don't think he was lonely because he loved his children and his children loved him.

i dont think he realized how much people loved him no. i think he would be awestruck at all the attention his death received. and i think he would be even more surprised to see how well his records charted after death

I think he did.......I hope he did :(

In the 60 Minutes interview, Ed Bradley mentions the love the fans had for Michael, and Michael says "I don't take any of it for granted." Besides he videotaped his adoring fans for the Brace Yourself, HIStory trailers.

I believe he knew his fans loved him, but I don't think he ever completely loved himself. I sincerely hope he does now. :(

I wish Michael would have lived completely by the words of this song above. When it came to the verses, yes he did that well. It's the refrain I wished he lived by. At least he could have been happy more often.

No, I think he didn't realize. I hope that he does now, somehow?

Yes, I truly think he did. When you're as famous as Michael, though, you're scrutinized every single day by the public--you have NO private life whatsoever... so Michael had a ton of HATERS as well. He wanted everybody to love him... but he was so sensitive that just one person could bring his world back down.

He was already extremely depressed and anxious with the child molestation allegations--they truly broke his heart. Then... when Martin Bashir botched the documentary that he made with Michael, that REALLY brought him to a very, very sad place. He loved his fans because they continued to support him and not believe all the trash that was written or aired about him.

But he still knew that things would never be the same because of those sharks. He just wanted the whole world to love him and be inspired by him again. Michael was a pleaser.. a perfectionist to the core. He wanted to please everybody. It is both a strength and an aching weakness.

now this is silly question

YEAH , HE DID
HE REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH WE LOVE HIM

I truly hope he knew. But he was insecure, so maybe not? He hadn't performed in eight years! I just hope that somehow, and in some way, he's "seen" the outpouring of love. I miss him SO much. . . . . .

Michael knew he was loved. I dont think he was lonely it was probably his personality. Sometimes people need seclusion after being in the spot light all the time. And Michael`s entire life was under the spot light. I am pretty sure he knew that people would kill themselves over his death. Remember when he got really sick and hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital and didnt leave until Michael got discharged. Woh i dont even know how i would react if i were to recieve that type of attention. So i am really sure he knew we loved him and ofcourse he was loved uncondiontionally by his sister, mother and children. Michael`s the most beloved person on earth and will be for a long time.
