I just heard that Michael maybe uses new photos, I mean photos of him today, when marketing T25..!? That would be so cool. People couldn't just say that he can't show his face anymore but it would be very positive. And it would mean also that it's not only Sony's project. Technically it would mean that he has some kind of a contract with Sony again, don't you think?

Is Michael really with Pepsi again? That would be so cool, too. If he is, it's very likely that the campaign will be HUGE because I think Pepsi isn't interested on so small publicity..

according to MJ data bank

Sony BMG has confirmed that this official Thriller 25th Anniversary poster accompanies the release of Thriller the 25th Anniversary Edition - and there is much more to come [including more goodies to be released].

More information will follow... Stay tuned...

they are.. if you look at the T25 teaser on youtube where Quincy is talking about Thriller.. they show Michael in the studio... which a post Thriller footage.. he looks like he looks today.. but footage maybe like 7years old or so...

so they are

to person that says.. Michael wont be signed because of the 93/03 cases...... Michael would be sapped up like gravy with a piece of bread if he chose to go that route... record labels want to make money.. and Michael makes money...with his music..

labels.. have murderers and alledged murderers recording for them.. Michael was vindicated.. those cases is a mute point.. when it comes to
collecting the Benji's...

Michael made Sony over $1bil with Thriller...

he can get a record deal if thats the route he wanted.. please don't be fooled..

I have worked a little in that arena.. they (record labels) don't run "from arrest"...

the record companies started from the mafia.. folks... its not the Catholic church in that arena

So if I am correct they use a picture from the BAD era to promote Thriller 25th? :mello:

Your right, that photo is from the Bad Tour during the 1987 leg. I wouldn't be surprised if that poster was a Photoshop fake made a a fan with not a lot a knowledge about Michael.

Judging from the inaccuracies of dates of Michael's recording sessions and album releases etc in the Ultimate Collection box set book, I would put it past Sony to release a Bad era poster for the Thriller. It would make more sense to a poster of Michael from one of his Thriller era music videos, or his Billie Jean performance at the Motown 25 or even the Victory Tour.

Yes thats right but so what? Its not like the average people who see the pic go, "Hey thats not from the Thriller years!"

People dont see pics of say, Madonna or Janet and say, "That pic isnt from that era". We're just saying that I think because its easy to determine what era MJ was in by his appearance and image. Its a poster of MJ promoting T25 who cares. Good for Sony for promoting the album.

Nope its official and not a photoshopped poster. Sony have said so in a statement.

Know what...I hate to say this and I know yall fans know I mean well, but on that poster Michael does NOT look the way he did in the Thriller era. Everyone who owns a copy of the Thriller album (47 million people, that is) know what Michael looks like on the cover of the album, and in the video. And that is NOT the way he looks on that poster. Sorry, but it's just a bit unlogic.

But its still Michael Jackson and the general public still know what Michael looks like. I dont think anyone is going to say, "Hey I shouldnt buy T25 cuz he looks different in that poster!"

They could have a recent image of MJ with the T25 logo on their and it wouldnt matter as long as Sony are promoting T25. Sony dont care what MJ's appeance is like (neither does MJ who has to aprove the use of his image!) so why should you as a fan? And I think the word you're lookin for is illogical. (Not to be a smartass but to educate.......but I still sound like a smartass!)

I think they should use pictures from the Thriller era to promote Thriller 25. :/

It makes sense.

I think it would be also smart if they used completely new pictures, like pics taken 25 years later. "Still going strong"..

haha that would be awesome to see him do something special like that but I dont know... have anyone seen any promotion for Thriller 25? More than just the ones we've seen???

I remember when Janet released her Janet 20 y.o she posed for V magazine almost the same pose as she did with Control album, remember that? that would be cool if Michael did the same :)

That's what I thought. They have made mistakes before, but you gotta admit, that poster is pretty darn cool!

What about using this pic for the Thriller 25 poster?
gfhgfhgf.jpg

Sony should have actually used some Thriller era pics since this is to celebrate the Thriller album :D

i agree with you. if the fans are trying to protect MJ from being bashed, save your breath. there are people who are gunna talk about him, no matter how hard he or sony tries to please them. they are envious, those people. ha..he might as well have put a pic of him from the J5 days, grinning, just to get the last laugh. people are gunna eat him up during the super bowl..it's their reason for watching and they know it. then they'll get the cd.:punk:

I think fans fear of the truth behind the ideas they really dont know about. f this is true this is a brilliant idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Because michael from the bad era looks alot closer to the Michael Jackson Of today!!!!!, when you look at michael jackson today, many times you will see a bad resmblence. So i think this is a good idea.

 how do you have a bad resemblance to yourself?

why should it matter which pictures are used? Michael jackson is michael jackson lol. Its a brand new album (well sort of) so they can used any pics from any era if not brand new. Especially if ita a cool pic. I mean seriously...like the Jet issue that had Info on michaels dangerous album..it had him from the thriller era on the cover..with his king outfit on. Its still michael jackson. get over it lol..

And its 25 years after thriller..so why not use new pics lol.
