It's a small world, after all...

Dr. Conrad Murray is currently staying at the Los Angeles County Men's Jail, and his only a few cells down from Janet Jackson's ex-husband James DeBarge.

DeBarge is there after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and drug charges. He was placed in Administrative Segregation, which holds famous inmates with security issues.

Murray called for the Ad Segregation unit since his conviction. The two do sometimes run into each other, including last Monday when they met their respective lawyers in the visiting room.

DeBarge's lawyer, Spencer Vodnoy, says he's "really upset" that he's so close to Murray. He thought of Michael Jackson as a brother, even though he was married to Janet for less than a year in 1984.

There are nearly 4,000 inmates at L.A. County Men's Jail, so imagine
the coincidence that Dr. Conrad Murray is in a cell just feet away from Michael Jackson's former brother-in-law.

James DeBarge -- Janet Jackson's ex-husband -- is locked up after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and drug charges. DeBarge -- who was the lead singer of the wildly popular band, El DeBarge -- has been placed in Administrative Segregation -- the place where famous inmates with security issues are housed.

Murray has been calling the Ad Segregation unit home since his conviction on manslaughter charges last November.

We're told they occasionally run into each other, most recently last Monday when they were each meeting with their respective lawyers in the visiting room.

DeBarge's lawyer, Spencer Vodnoy, tells TMZ ... the singer is "really upset" he's so close to Murray. DeBarge says even though he was married to Janet for less than a year back in '84, he thought of Michael as a brother.

no matter WHO Murray is in jail with..I am just glad that he is there.

Mj fans are everywhere and even if they arent there would be many who would want to take out a high profile inmate for the fame of it inside.

I doubt taken out Murray would count as that many rep points. This line of thinking works both ways too. Some inmates may actually be happy that he killed Michael if they believed he was a pedo.

Obviously. but im not gonna say it on here as this is a fan board.theres enough hate towards mj in the outside world as it is im not gonna bring it in here.maybe theres to many high profile inmates in the usa for ppl to care but in the uk theres many cases were high profile inmates get attacked because of who they are.so i hardly doubt there would be no points to be gained so to speak if someone went after murray regardless of what the person thinks of mj.

I just think that a whole thread harping on inmates killing each other and the desire for one to kill Murray is kind of creepy. Yeah, I wish he would pay more for what he has done. But thinking something as opposed to have a thread full of death wishes just seems inappropriate. So can we please keep the thread to topic and about DeBarge being in a cell close to Murray.

I thought DeBarge had gotten clean. It's a shame that drugs have consumed almost the whole family's entire lives. I hope he can get it together. I heard that El had relapsed as well which is really sad. I was really hoping for him and his recent comeback.

:sigh:

Let just say this and I will drop the subject.

I didn't want to bring the other possibility either, but among the months of hearing, 'a Michael Jackson's an in prison could kill Murray', is just as morally offensive as someone saying that Murray would be protective since he killed a pedo that got away with it. Or, Murray shouldn't be in prison to begin with because Michael asked for it.

I don't know about UK prisons, but I do know that it is rare for a high profile to be attacked because they are protected. If the person who shot John Lennon in cold blood behind his back can live decades in prison without much incident, I doubt Murray would somehow just get killed. I also don't think we should be hoping for someone to damn themselves further just so we can feel a little better.

And do you really think the serial killer would be angry because Murray killed Michael?
Don't think so...

No, but Murray would be a high-profile kill, a good target to rise up in the prison system ranks. Kind of like the people who killed Dahmer. 'Cept Dahmer was at least better than Murray.

But anyway, as per the request of GinVid, I won't elaborate on any scenarios I may have in mind. Bah.

He says he doesn't like Murray. Well, I don't blame him.
