Joe Jackson - ALL articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Re: Joe Jackson and his "Glimpse of Paradise"

I'd rather prefer the original picture because I don't believe he painted it, Michael never mentioned his alleged skill to paint, neither Katherine, so, I'm pretty skeptical...

RARE-michael-jackson-22053761-696-500.jpg

I haven't seen that photo before, good find. I don't think Joe has a patience to spend weeks or months painting, there are too much of things going around for him to stay put longer than an hour at time. Of course this painting could be paintwork paint by numbers, although I don't think Joe has anything else to do with these than signing his name on the bottom right hand corner:)

Re: Joe Jackson and his "Glimpse of Paradise"

I found it 5 months ago, and I just found out the pic I posted is from Katherine's mother funeral, Martha Scruse in 1990. If Joe really had such skill I'm pretty sure Michael'd have mention it...

Re: Joe Jackson and his "Glimpse of Paradise"

So how much of that painting is Joe's work, the part he signed his name? :D
LOL I thought the same..and even that seems too much of an effort for Joe :trish: If he wasn't so predictably greedy I wouldn't think anything of it. But since that's not the case ??farewell glimpse of paradise, farewell..uh I will forget you?? :bs

Pretty good find indeed, Thanks. I too, prefer the original picture over the painting..plus, Michael's head looks too big on it..not good.

Joe Jackson Almost Arrested in Vegas

Joe Jackson NOT Ready for Close-Up... Almost Arrested

You would think Joe Jackson would be flattered when anyone wanted to take a picture of him ... but he flipped out when a Vegas tourist tried photographing him, and it almost landed the famous dad in the pokey.

Here's the low down. Joe was at The Palms Thursday when a hotel guest recognized the famous dad and aimed his camera in Joe's direction. Jackson allegedly went ballistic, screaming "Don't take pictures of me!" The guest claims Joe lunged at him, making contact.

Joe almost got more publicity than the time he announced he signed a new rap artist days after Michael died ... because the guest called security and demanded to get Vegas cops involved.

But Joe got a reprieve ... by the time cops arrived the guest cooled down and decided not to press charges.

But here's the thing. We don't think the guest got his picture, so here you go

Diana Ross is given credit for teaching Michael to draw:

"This was an important period in my life because Diana loved art and encouraged me to appreciate it too. She took the time to educate me about it. We’d go out almost every day, just the two of us, and buy pencils and paint. When we weren’t drawing or painting, we’d go to museums. She introduced me to the works of the great artists like Michelangelo and Degas and that was the start of my lifelong interest in art. She really taught me a great deal. It was so new to me and exciting. It was really different from what I was used to doing, which was living and breathing music, rehearsing day in and day out. You wouldn’t think a big star like Diana would take the time to teach a kid to paint, to give him an education in art, but she did and I loved her for it."

Re: Joe Jackson Almost Arrested in Vegas

Oh Joe. Must of thought he was back in Gary for a minute there.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Oh Joe, still out there making deals. Well you have to admire his stamina--he never gives up. Maybe Joe paints, but we do not know how much of the painting comes from his efforts. I will not buy any of the paintings but wait and see them at the great museums of the world. Anyone going to the Victoria and Albert museum...............

^^In the piece about Diana teaching Michael to paint, he had to have that ability in him. Most likely Diana made him more aware of it and he was able to develop it further with her tutoring. I know that I have no artistic talent and even though teachers tried to teach me to draw and paint in school, my efforts still look scary.

Anyone going to the Victoria and Albert museum...............

Totally o/t. There's a great looking exhibition coming up of hollywood costumes, starts 20 oct. The curator is john landis's wife, there'll be costumes from gone with the wind, breakfast at tiffanys etc.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Bonnie ^^ actually I was making a pun on Joe's comment that his painting will be seen in museums, so I asked if anyone was going to the Victoria and Albert--implying that Joe's painting might be there.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Joe Jackson
I CARRY A GUN And I'm Not Afraid to Use It

Joe Jackson FLASHED A HANDGUN to a room full of people at a recent event in Vegas ...
and told the crowd it's just like an American Express card ... he doesn't leave home without it.

SEE VIDEO
Joe Jackson -- I CARRY A GUN ... and I'm Not Afraid to Use It

The bizarre moment all went down while Joe was at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino in Vegas this weekend to be honored at the Black Music Awards (apparently that's a thing).

Joe was introduced by his friend -- Majestik -- who told the crowd a story about Joe confronting Michael Jackson's bodyguards two weeks before MJ's death.

During the alleged confrontation, Majestik says Joe flashed his gun at the guards and said -- "If I hear you all givin' my son drugs or doing anything illegal with my son ... I'ma kill all of you."

When Majestik turned the mic over to Joe -- JJ corroborated the story ... saying, "It's very true. Every word he said."

Then Joe told the crowd ... "I carry a piece everywhere I go ... I'm gonna show it to you."

Joe proceeded to open up his suit jacket, revealing a handgun holstered by his hip. Joe explained, "I've been threatened a lot of times and so I need to be safe."

We reached out to Joe to see if he is even legally allowed to pack heat -- but so far, we have yet to hear back.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Joe is talking shite again:smilerolleyes:

We should be thankful that the only thing he flashed was his gun and not something else:D

Btw, he is too old for carrying a gun, he might shoot himself to his feet.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Joe Jackson is the PERFECT example of that old saying:

There's no fool, like and OLD fool!

It's like everytime he opens his mouth, he inserts his foot in it. On stage flashing a gun, who does he think he is Suge Knght. LOL!

He really needs to go sit down somewhere, take that gun off his waist before he hurts himself or somebody else. (Well if there are any bullets in the gun that is.)

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

for some reason those two things just don't fit together...Joe Jackson and a Gun...hahaha.....scary though...Lord knows what he might shoot off...:lmao:

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

And the point in that was ?? Perhaps it makes him feel more of a man.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

"hey Joe, where are you going with that gun in your hand?"

JOE JACKSON LICENSED To Carry Badass Gun

"Joe Jackson's gun is 100% legit -- TMZ has learned, Michael Jackson's dad is fully-licensed to carry a concealed weapon in the State of Nevada ... this according to a rep for the Las Vegas Metro Police.

The rep tells TMZ, Joe was issued a CCW permit in 2010 by the LVMPD -- allowing him to carry a concealed handgun on his person anywhere in Nevada. The permit expires in 2015.

As we reported, Joe showed off the concealed weapon at a recent event in Vegas, and claimed he doesn't leave home without it.

FYI -- Nevada's what they call an "open carry" state -- meaning anyone (over 21) can literally walk down the street with a handgun strapped to his or her body, as long as it's exposed.

With Joe's permit, he's allowed to keep it inside his jacket.

Bottom line ... don't mess with Joe."

If Joe got his license 2010, did he have unlicensed gun in 2009 when he threatened Michael's bodyguards?

Joe should keep his mouth shut. Why the hell he goes on awards show telling that he said to MJ's bodyguards not to give him son drugs? Could he not think of saying something nice to say other than bringing up alleged drug use?

Not that I believe his memory of the events. I think it was more like he went to house and said to bodyguards: let me in, I want to see my bank machine, ups sorry, I meant my son.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

Joe's such an ass, he talks about how he arrived demanding to see Mike and waving his gun about, as if any sane person would let Joe into their house when he was armed.

Has he been licensed to carry guns back in the 70s and 80s? Because he kept them then too.

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

....the only reaction I can have for any Joe Jackson news!

Re: Joe Jackson All articles, epic and not so epic discussions of the Jackson family Patriarch

^Regarding this discussion about guns, I seem to remember that there was some kind of program or product that Papa Joe was pimping about Michael, and in a picture promoting it, there was a gun. Does anyone else remember this, and if so, could they post a picture? I can't remember where on here I saw it!

Joseph Jackson Ends Business Relations with Perfume Designer Julian Rouas …

Mr. Jackson confirmed today that after much due diligence and legal counsel he has effective today the 15th of November 2012 cancelled all collaboration with French designer Julian Rouas Paris, Inc as well as any affiliation with any of Mr Rouas’s companies.

Joseph's new endevour

“I will continue to preserve the legacy of my son with various fragrances, but these will be through a major leading global Cosmetic, Fragrance and beauty firm. Thousands of fans have been demanding the relaunch of my Son’s original perfume. The only perfume he personally co-created back in 1988. Michael sat through 7 hours to have a 3D hologram picture of his face taken that appeared on the final package. Having been given possession of the original 3D work, My legal counsel will now work very closely with the various participants (The original manufacturer owners of G.P.S Perfume S.A., Geneva, the Merchandising rights owners to my Son’s image and likeness etc) to get this wonderful hologram product approved and in stores globally by next year. As always I thank the fans for their feedback. ”

Future-release.jpg

Now I am confused. I thought Michael's name and image belonged to the Estate...but because the hologram rights 'belong to a merchandising company' they can use it to re-sell Michael's original perfume? But surely they can't put the name 'Michael Jackson' on the bottle/ packaging?
(I note that tricky phrase used again here ' been given possession of'...does that mean 'legal title to'? If so, how?... and why does this not belong to the Estate?)

I'll be interested to see what the Estate has to say, especially with an official 'Estate' perfume on the cards. (Edit...or is Joe talking about the perfume the Estate are planning?...in which case why is Joe making the announcement about the hologram image?)

I also wonder where the Estate is with their suit against Rouas...I recall they eventually served papers, but I don't think we've heard anything further?
(edit..just seen the other thread in Trials and tribs....so settled but sealed)

PS Joe, You'd better do a little bit more 'due diligence' as your signature is still on the Rouas website, where the perfumes are still apparently being advertised for sale.

This was the original announcement: (Wonder if any charity ever received anything?)

I still think they will need to get approval from the estate. The hologram might be in possesion of the company, but tthe use of his name and image are not.

Unless he means the estate/Bravado gave him permission to use it. Maybe he means he is working with the estate? Who Knows!!! With Joe anything or interpretation is possible. Have he learned his lesson and is now doing everything by the book? Why did it take him so long to be advised to sever ties with Rouas, shouldn't his legal advisers look at legal contracts before Joe signs them and not after the deal is sealed?

Oh Joe...u never quit SMH. Anyway did that original MJ perfume Joe speaks of even smell good? I have three other MJ official perfums. 3 from the 80's and one from the 90's and they all don't smell to good to me. I just collect them that's all. lol

I don't think they consider charities outside of the "Family" to be receiving end of the proceedings.
Nothing went from their Cardiff concert to charity, so I don't expect any money from this "endorsement" going either.

In their minds, charity favoured by MJ, is the family first.
