Dr. Conrad Murray is in court right now in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case ... but the big issue today is not MJ -- it's whether Dr. Murray can keep his license.
California Attorney General Jerry Brown -- who is running for Governor -- is trying again to yank Murray's license pending trial. Brown was shut down by another judge a few months ago, but he's trying again with the trial judge, Michael Pastor.
The judge is also expected to set a date for Murray's preliminary hearing.
Keep refreshing for updates.
UPDATE 12:30 PM PT: The judge just said he's reviewed all the documents that have been submitted to the court, and is ready to hear what has to be said.
UPDATE 12:27 PM PT: Dr. Murray is in the courtroom!
Yeah I mean don't get me wrong i'm glad fans are there i'm just questioning whether they are using their number there effectively to emphasize the importance of their message and why they are there, it is not just a fan meet-up. Wish I could be there

Regarding recent reports claiming Katherine and Joe are at odds over who contributed to Michael's death, a Jackson source tells X17online exclusively, "A certain tabloid website has been blowing this out of proportion. Yes, Katherine wishes she had visited Michael before he passed, but her heart was in the right place. In no way did she contribute to his death. That's ridiculous. Now it's about moving on and being there for his kids. Of course, Joe and Katherine are still talking. There is no lawsuit going on between the two of them."

that is terrible..the world should be allowed to see what is going on inside that courtroom...getting second hand information room the media is not the same as we all have learned.
TMZ (and other media) has a request they filed with Judge Pastor to allow cameras inside the courtroom. According to their info (they mentioned at their live chats) Judge Pastor is reviewing it for "allowing cameras inside during the trial" .
I believe being able to see the trial is more important than these initial small hearings.
Judge Pastor will not allow cameras in the courtoom. He's the judge presiding over the pre-trial. The media are obviously trying to get that changed but for now no cameras.
