Michael Jackson Death Investigation Complete (TMZ - merged)

All this is very upsetting. Murray will walk away free basically and the case will be closed. If the family is not going to step forward, if Joe doesn’t have in his mind to make a public statement, if fans are not going to protest, a true justice for Michael is not going to be done.

Prosecutor Who Put Away Phil Spector Assigned To Michael Jackson Case

The Los Angeles County D.A.s Office is bringing out the big guns following the conclusion of the investigation into the death of Michael Jackson.

RadarOnline.com can exclusively report that Patrick Dixon, the prosecutor that helped put the once great musical genius Phil Spector behind bars, is now going after the man many say is responsible for the death of another musical genius, Michael Jackson.

With the investigation into the death of Jackson officially concluded by the LAPD, it is expected that Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician, will be charged in the near future with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the superstar's untimely passing.

RadarOnline.com has learned that it is likely Dixon will be joined on the case by Alan Jackson, who also helped get the conviction in the high profile Spector murder case.

Dixon is Head Deputy District Attorney, and Alan Jackson is a Deputy District Attorney. Dixon is also head of the Major Crimes Unit. The two are known as legal pit bulls that will rest at nothing to put their man behind bars.

In an exclusive statement to RadarOnline.com, Sandi Gibbons, PIO for the D.A.s office says, "Pat Dixon is the head deputy of the Major Crimes Division. He assigns attorneys to cases. A deputy district attorney in the Major Crimes Division has been working with LAPD and coroner's office on the case."

Meanwhile, Dr. Conrad Murray has hired powerhouse Hollywood attorney, Michael Flanagan.

Flanagan tells RadarOnline.com, "I have been retained to represent Dr. Conrad Murray and Ed Chernoff is my co-counsel."

Flanagan said he had just been "hired this past week," and doesn't know what if any charges Dr. Murray will be facing.

So, could this be considered good news? Because I sure could use some good news regarding this Michael Jackson case. Michael needs someone to fight for him and HIS rights and to be his voice.

It may not be illegal to administer Propofol outside of a hospital setting (yet) but the last time I checked it was illegal to cause someone's death by being reckless (at the very least in this case). And the information we have of Murray's actions (or in-actions) on that day in June demonstrates more than a little recklessness on his part. Am I right????

I mean, it may not be illegal to own a handgun (or a bat, or a knife, etc) but if someone kills somebody with one, and it is proven that they used that handgun in a reckless manor which caused or lead up to the death of an individual, THAT is illegal. Am I right???

the same people who donated money to Janet Arvizo during the trial , would be very welling to help Murray

This is repulsive... Just to think about it is repulsive.
If this man didn't have the money to pay to his children... just 1,000+ usd... then... what is he doing to pay such lawyer???

Hmm! So it appears that the prosecuting attorney is Patrick Dixon.

After doing a google search, I have learnt that he is the Head Deputy District Attorney of the Major Crimes Division in the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office.

And he has also been named prosecutor of the year in the past.

At least we know who is supposed to be fighting for MJ now.

Murray had given Michael several strong sedatives prior to giving MJ propofol. That is negligence as he should have not given Michael so many sedatives due to OD.

Plus Murray gave MJ propofol outside of a hospital which is gross negligence NOT involuntary manslaughter. Thats BS!

Plus how is a cardiologist (heart specialist) not able to revive someone having a cardiac arrest?

Thank you for your post! This it's so VERY TRUE!!!!!!

I hope Murray will be arrested and go to jail where he belongs. All doctors worldwide who are negligent and irresponsible as him should watch that happen...

I've said that from day one. They are going to try their best to make him seem like he asked for it and the media will make a turn around and get on the defense bandwagon. That is how it works over here. Mark my words.

Murrays defense team is probably going to drag Michael's name through the mud. It's gonna get ugly, I think.
I see this coming as well.

Murray's New Lawyer -- I Know Propofol

Posted Jan 8th 2010 5:40PM by TMZ Staff
Dr. Conrad Murray's new lawyer claims he's the best of the best when it comes to cases involving Propofol and death -- and dude has the track record to prove it.

TMZ spoke to J. Michael Flanagan who told us, "I'm probably the only attorney in town that has successfully tried a Propofol case involving death."

Back in 2004, Flanagan defended a nurse who was accused of wrongly administering the stuff to a patient who later died. The nurse was charged with involuntary manslaughter -- the same crime we're told the D.A. is likely to charge Murray with. But with Flanagan by her side, the nurse was acquitted.

As for Murray's role in the Michael Jackson case, Flanagan told us, "I am totally unaware of any facts that would give rise to an involuntary manslaughter charge."

As TMZ first reported, the LAPD is expected to hand over their case to the L.A. District Attorney in a matter of weeks. We're told the D.A will almost certainly criminally charge Murray in MJ's death.

Since this lawyer seems to think of himself as a big shot and it seems TMZ thinks of him that way as well  how in the hell is Murray payin' for this guy? He JUST got done paying his baby momma like 1,000 somethin so he wouldn't have to go to jail yes? So how is he paying this guy? Plus the rest of his "team?"

Heh, would be cool to see T-Mez in there as a prosecutor, kicking Murray's ass...*dreams*

I'd even contribute funds to that...

I know! And he wasn't even doing CPR right! ughh idiot, sorry off topic.

yea, I can see that happening, sadly.

^ I thought of this too. Depressing, but probably true. Another chance to hate on Michael. But maybe we'll be wrong. Just once maybe we could be wrong? (*hoping*)

That would be wishful thinking. Murray has to pay one way or the other. I prefer him to ''pay'' for what he did in this life.

Unfortunately, I have the same vision of it. Oh God help us all! We need to be together!

If and when Murray is going on trail it will have nothing to do with Michael and what he may or may not have done. This will be about Conrad not calling 911 not telling the emts and the doctors what he gave and what was doing on the phone while Michael was laying there. Facts people facts not a bunch of Michael Jackson was this or that. I can't deal with the attitude of this place today I just can't. Why is it so hard for people to focus on facts? I wanted Murray charged with second degree murder to but if it does not happen and we don't know that it won't so be it. He will be dealt with one way or the other but this oh he is going to walk he is going to get away with it needs to stop now. Lets wait and see. And it does not matter if he asked for it or not a doctor is supposed to make the best decision for his patience not do what the patience wants.

That's EXACTLY whats gonna happen and its not gonna be pretty! They are gonna try to get there client off and to do that they are sure to hold this image up of MJ as this drug abuser all throughout this trial!

And won't the media just suck that right up!

Flanagan said he had just been "hired this past week," and doesn't know what if any charges Dr. Murray will be facing.

See right there in bold, Murray knows something is coming very soon, hence the addition of this new lawyer! Hm, timing......

BTW...some are asking who's paying Murray's new lawyer? remember now, even though MJ's passing was a source of grief for us all who loved him, it was a source of happiness for others who hated him, best believe that! If some had their way MJ would not have seen the light of day ever again back in 2005! Watch and see when all the fans are out in full force to support MJ that there won't be Conrad Murray supporters there too!

yeah , it seems the prosecutors put in charge of this case are the real deal , so one can only hope

I'm having dark thoughts :( I know I shouldn't say it but I want the very worst for Conrad Murray

i am no only emotionally confused but everything about this is confusing. I hope Murray gets it in the end... Both figuratively and literally. from that big guy named bubah on cell block D.

I'm not sure of what people are not understanding here? I'm 99.9 percent certain that there will BE no trial. Charges will be filed. They may be light. Murray will plead guilty. He will get a light sentence, and then will retreat to the tropics, have a colorful drink with a little umbrella in it, and work on his BOOK.

For all those who said "wait and see?" NO. Change happens because we make it so. Just THINK, ok? We are legion. We loved/love Michael.

why would murray plead guilty if he feels he did nothing wrong. he's making it clear that he believes he is totally innocent

He would plead guity to avoid a harsher sentence. He would plead guilty if his life is being threatened. He would plead guilty if there was a huge off-shore account waiting for him.

Who IS paying for his attorneys (and body-guards) anyway? If we discover this, we will be that closer to the truth.

^^ Good point. I really do wonder who is paying for his defence team.
The man can't even afford to pay child support....I would have thought that he would beg one of those free attorneys to defend him.
Fishy.

Could be either payment plan, or his lawyer is looking for publicity/best reputation.
