it says in the trailer

"one of the most celebrated artists of all time"

why not

"the most celebrated artist of all time"

coz i don't really know anyone who was more celebrated over the course of his over 40 years presence in music biz.

Because there isn't an exact metric for measuring "celebrated."

"Highlights include an extended Claymation sequence" i think they referring to the speed demon part "3-D vignette put together by the Disney Company" i dont know about this part.

My Moonwalker DVD has so many grainy shots, and I wonder how this could be possible

Because it's shoot on 35mm film. It's very common, that movies have grain, especilaly on dark scenes. TWYMMf is very grainy too. That's cool.

YAY, i was hoping for steelbook.

Seems the HMV release of 3/5/10 is sticking - Guess it's an HMV exclusive for a month before general release :) So glad I pre-ordered from there!

Will the UK release get the photo booklet mentioned in the Amazon.de trailer?

Maybe rather than crop the full frame 1.33:1 (4x3) to 1.85:1, they should have just cropped to 1.78:1 (16x9) this way it would have left more image in top and bottom. Seems this is one of those mistakes they make that upsets fans when cropping movies from open matte features.

I thought it was already posted, the specs of the Blu-ray and it was listed as 1.85:1 ?

some sites have 16:9 specs and others 1.85:1

Update on this. I have had multiple people contacting me to tell me that in the UK at least they have had emails from HMV telling them that their Blu Rau has been dispatched.

1.78:1 is mostly TV AR (UK)
1.85:1 is cinema/movies

the few more lines won't help. "full-screen" 16:9 always have 1.85 ratio.

You have 3 different resolutions there ...
'Full Screen' is 4x3 or 1.33:1 or 720x480 in resolution.
16x9 has an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and 'fills' a widescreen TV
1.85:1 doesn't 'fill' the entire screen on a widescreen as it has black bars on top and bottom ... 'hiding' some info if film is open matte.
2.35:1 has even larger black bars on top and bottom hiding even more info.

I would also like to know if the UK edition has the little booklet in - as promoted on the Japan / German editions...

Should be there any day now... they sent out Avatar last Tuesday and most people received them on the Friday from HMV Online...

Also had an email from HMV a couple of days ago saying my copy has been posted. Hoping it will be with me either tomorrow or Saturday - fingers crossed the photo booklet will be included!

O/T: AmyJackson - where did you get those YRMW promo pics from for your signature/avatar? I haven't seen them before and think they look ace! :)

Receieved mine today from hmv. There is no 3d vignette thing, no 3d glasses, no booklet, just a single blu ray disc. The only extra is the trailer. The video and sound quality is good though :) Will have to compare it with the dvd again. The dvd already looks really good to be honest especially when upscaled to 1080p.

Also the picture has no black bars, and from the few minutes i spent watching it this morning i don't think any picture is missing.

Really don't understand why under the product description on hmv and amazon it mentions a 3D vignette put together by the disney company? Maybe it will be in the June release? We should email warnerbros UK about this.

update: I just emailed warnerbros uk, will let all you FANS know what they say if they reply.
