MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: MJJCommunity Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / All Tribute discussion

The link said I don't belong there, so let's wait for the letter to be posted here.

About the Latoya tie in, we expect her to have people connected to her involved to ensure additional cuts from the ticket sales.

Someone posted on the 'Fans against Michael Forever tribute' page last last that LaToya had deleted her message when she sent her information about the Gene Simmons vid...I thought that spoke volumes for LT at the time.
FB quote:
in shok here and in tears I tolt latoya how i feel about the tribute thing and the things that G S say about MJJ on the day he past away.. tolt her my feelings speak to her with my heart..tolt her i still love and miss michael so much ..and she dealed my coment..I trully can't belief it...yes i cent her the vedio..bbecause they need to know the true.... but tolt her also how i feel inside..this fam is fake really .... feeling dizzy in my head here.

And I see that anyone suggesting there are 'PR' comments on the site gets erased:
Fans against the Tribute site quote:
Hey I'm now officially part of your gang.. my comment has been removed on the tribute page yaaayyy!!! I was commenting on this fake Rasmus guy about not bothering about what he says cause he was only there to pr the tribute since his fb profile is empty and his only 'interest' listed is the tribute... and I got erased!

On the Estate letter....'extremely disapppointed' seems a quite 'gentle' way of putting it re GS involvement. I hope the Estate can shut this concert down.

Great statement from the Estate.

Re: MJJCommunity Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / All Tribute discussion

Great! :clapping:

The Jackson family will have problems....... :girl_whistle: I'm praying for this crap be canceled. -_-

:agree:I agree with you Ash. - And thank you MJJC and Estate for the Statement to protect Michaels name. But I am afraid that the damage is already done.:(

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I see the Estate handled the letter more as questioning the parties concerned, which is good. I did not want them to get involved, but I see my fears were unfounded. I did not want them to sound as though they wanted to help out these thieves in anyway and they did not. This letter was well written and included our main concerns. Now they know that the Estate is on the fans and heirs side, which is good. After all we are the ones buying to keep that legacy going.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I like the letter. The Estate is essentially using this as an instrument of preliminary investigation. to establish some basic facts surrounding the planned event so far. Their next move will depend on how GL responds and that's if they even care to respond.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Does anyone else wonder if their "ticket registration" went so poorly that they are deliberately trying to sabotage the tribute? It's just so unbelievable that, of all the bands in the world, they would invite Kiss. I keep thinking that this can't be real.

I'm surprised that La Toya hasn't been talking about this tribute non-stop on her twitter and facebook, since her people seem to be so involved. She's always mentioning meetings - I guess now we know what the meetings were about. I'm really, really disappointed in La Toya now that it looks like she is very involved in this mess.

It's weird to be on the same side as Jermaine and Randy - LOL!

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I liked the "extraordinarily embarrassing" thing - I like that they seem concerned about these things, even if others are obviously not.

Sad that if the Jacksons had gone to the estate to ask for a proper tribute you know the estate would've put together a really classy effort. Branca and McClain come from a really solid concert touring background, they have many many many connections. They would've made the Jacksons look good, just being tied up in it. And like all real tributes it would've been for charity, not the bloated greedy mess it is now.

And I liked their question about where the rest of the money is going.

What a farce.

It's sad, the Jacksons would never want the estate to do a tribute because then none of the money would go to any of them and that is all that concerns them, not the tribute act itself. Michael is incidental. They are so caught up in their own egos they can't even see how they could combine efforts with the estate for their own benefit too, but they'd never ever let that happen so we're gonna keep having these farcical messes being done in his "honour."

now this the latter we needed to get more media coverage.:clapping: for estate.
so some one please help me to understand this dysfunctional family (not that i need any deeper understanding ).so loatoya was was telling in interview that estate is in shady hand ,they have all money, they are not giving any thing to her mom and kids ,they are the evil one.............follow money trail.
then comes mama kat saying she does not agree with her .after few days both of them come together for tribute and as we see now latoya and her company is involve in this whole mess from start to finish.
this is ood example of how latoaya works for her $$$$$.PEOPLE don't say she don't have any talent ,this her talent ,this is what she got from joe and kat in gene pool.

I hope that if the estate were to put together a tribute, the estate would make a very small amount of profit. IMO, a tribute for Michael should focus on giving to charity, not taking from the fans.

I heard about this not to long ago, read it here on MJJC actually! And no I wasn't surprised because she always finds a way to make money off Michael. Why would this time be any diffrent? Infact the whole family does this as we all know.

Jermaine and Randy are quiet now. But, Let's not forget Jermaine is comin out with a book soon and eventually we will see his face all over interviews. Reguardless if he waits for the trial or not to be over, he will still be out there talkin eventually. And as we already know Randy already warned us he will be makin the rounds talking too. That's what he said on his Twitter. So Non of them are excused or thanked by me. I'm not even gonna appreciate what they said against the tribute because I know that eventually it will be pointless cause they will say or do something I don't agree with. So This is only the beginning of the more B.S to come from the family, it's a guarantee!

I applaud the Estate. I am very glad they issued an open letter. I support them 100 per cent.

Re: MJJCommunity Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / All Tribute discussion

I am sorry but that man with Katherine looked creepy to me.
But his shirt was pretty snazzy.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Thanks for this. I fully support the statements from MJJC and the Estate. This whole situation is just horrifying. I feel like I've been living in a nightmare world since Michael died. One thing after another. I'd like to wake up now.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Im just so HOT DAMN HAPPY
That the MJ Estate is intune with the BEST Interest of Michael Jackson and his Fans, They really do know what's going on. They are NOT clueless and they Respect Michael and his fans Interests. They adresssed Every issue and more I have to be honest I actually got teary eyed when I read that statement

I think Michael was VERY wise when he chose this team to run his Estate.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Very nice statement by the Estate. Thanks Ivy for pointing out their twitter handle; I'll be following them now...

I agree that this statement puts the ball in the bad guys' court and gives the Estate a chance to decide on the next move.

I'm puzzled by the different Jackson members but not ready to blame any of them for malicious intent. I definitely read all the anti-Jermaine/Randy sentiment here and am curious to know what you all think about them now.

P.S. I'm happy to say the only Kiss I've ever listened to is 98.1 KISS FM (san francisco)!!!

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

sorry double post

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

100% in agreement, this needed to be said.

Re: MJJCommunity Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / All Tribute discussion

This whole cockpit of baffoonery has sent me back into my therapist's chair...My heart STILL bleeds for MJ, PPB, even AFTER my THREE hour session with my therapist. Sometimes it's a wonder MJ didn't just completely have a mental break or nervous breakdown, cause Lord knows this right here, has almost pushed me over my own edge.

I leave you all tonight, with this most appropriate quote: "One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope."

This is exactly what this FAMILY" has done and conitnues to do, my only solace is that MJ is away from ALL the pain these people have caused him in LIFE...He had been bleeding for a LONG time.

EDIT: Honestly, the Estate doesn't have to say ANYTHING, as the Jackson's have shown their complete black asses to the masses publically, in their FINAL ACT in their Shakespearian play..."To thyne own self, be TRUE". I always say, When someone shows YOU who the ARE, believe THEM!"

Mfam, please pray for me, as I don't know now, what I'm going to do about school...I have 3 semesters left to get my Nursing degree, and I now need to come up with $250.00 for uniforms which I do not and will not have. I have NO help. I'm just about ready to give up on life...what can I do? Just feel helpless.
Sending prayers and a hug your way. NEVER give up, you are strong and will find a way. Does your school have emergency loans?

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

the estate strikes again. well said and very classy.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

How sad is it that the executors know, care and respect Michael and his fans more than his own family.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Trying to catch up when I woke from my slumber, wow I didn't think I would reach the end of the thread, it was like one of those glasses that kept refilling. :)

The one thing I feel certain about is that if there was an official tribute the estate would ask for the fans input. This is where others and the family get it so wrong, they think just the name Michael Jackson is enough and that we are stupid enough just to go along with it. The family have the same attitude when it comes to the fan base they think just because they are related we are automatically their fans as well.

Being fair minded I can see that for whatever reason KJ might not know anything about Simmons, but this is a prime example of their belief that we would blindly follow and therefore homework is not necessary.

I got a bit lost on the thread as to whether simmons is officially out, but it makes no difference, just the fact he was in shows that this tribute is NOTHING to do with Michael it's all about the money.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

It makes no difference indeed. They already have shown the world they knew nothing about Michael, they spat in his face and ours. I think the irony is to see that Paul Ring actually works with Latoya. So now, we know...

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

@Ben, absolutely! Every fan who follows La-follow the money trial-Toya should unfollow her on mass today.

Good to see the media reporting all this correctly.

  • NEW: Jackson executors demand promoters explain KISS booking controversy
  • KISS leader Gene Simmons made negative remarks about Michael Jackson after his death
  • Tribute organizers say they were unaware Simmons suggested Jackson was a pedophile
  • Several fan sites call for a boycott of the October 8 concert
Los Angeles (CNN) -- Michael Jackson fan clubs appeared in open revolt against a tribute show for the late pop star after promoters added the rock band KISS to the concert lineup on Monday.
Fan objected because of negative comments KISS leader Gene Simmons made about Jackson in interviews the days and weeks after his death two years ago. Simmons spoke about his suspicions that Jackson, who was acquitted of child molestation in 2005, was a pedophile.
"In the days following Michael Jackson's death, Gene Simmons has made slanderous, derogatory comments about Michael and his children," the fan site United For Michael Jackson's Legacy said. "It is quite ironic that Simmons has now agreed to himself pay tribute to the man he called a child predator."
Promoters, who had hoped the addition of the legendary group would bolster their lineup, said they were unaware of Simmons' statements when they booked KISS for the show.
The fan website MJ4Justice was one of several calling for a boycott of "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert" scheduled for October 8 in Cardiff, Wales.
"Either they don't have access to computers, telephones or do not know how to use GOOGLE," MJ4Justice said in an online statement. "But, There is NO excuse for the Tribute organizers NOT to know Gene Simmons should not be part of any Michael Jackson Tribute Event."
Global Live Events executives appeared with Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson on CNN Monday to announce the signing of KISS.
"I know he would be very excited about KISS," Michael Jackson's mother said.
But within minutes, their tribute's Facebook page was filled with negative fan reactions.
"This is a complete disgrace," wrote one fan. "You can kiss your audience goodbye folks. I doubt whether any self-respecting fan will pay a penny to see that man after the comments he made about Michael. I'm shocked this act was even considered."
The executors of the Michael Jackson estate also spoke out, sending a letter to the promoters late Monday saying they were "especially disappointed" by the announcement that KISS was in the show. The estate asked promoters to provide an explanation.
"As I am sure you are aware, Mr. Simmons has made numerous disparaging public comments about Michael Jackson after his passing," estate lawyer Howard Weitzman wrote in the letter obtained by CNN. He called media coverage of he controversy "extraordinarily embarrassing."
The estate, which has not sanctioned the event, also questioned the promoters' promise to share profits with charities and a provision in the terms of the ticket sale that as long as 50% of the billed acts show up there would be no refunds,.
"It is a concern to us that loyal Michael Jackson fans will pay for tickets and not receive full benefir for their purchase, nor will they be able to get a full refund if certain artists they paid to see cancel their participation," the letter said.
The KISS controversy overshadowed other announcements that promoters expected would gain fan support for their show, including word that many of the musicians who played in Jackson's touring band for the past two decades would reunite as the show's house band.
Kevin Dorsey, who served as musical director for several Michael Jackson tours, will also direct the show.
Other acts signed for the show include Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS. Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm and British R&B singer Craig David are also on the bill.
Members of the Jackson family set to take the stage include "the next generation of Jacksons" and 3T, which consists of Tito Jackson's three sons, the promoters said.
It is also expected one or more of the three Jackson sisters -- Janet, La Toya and Rebe -- will perform.
It appeared unlikely the tribute stage would be the scene for a reunion for the surviving members of the Jackson 5. While Jackie, Tito and Marlon support it, brothers Jermaine and Randy have publicly objected to the show being held at the same time as the trial for Michael Jackson's doctor.
"While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death," Jermaine and Randy Jackson said in a joint statement last month.
Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial begins in September and is expected to continue through October.
"The trial is very important and I can understand how Randy and Jermaine feel, but it's been two years," Katherine Jackson told CNN Monday. "I thought it was a good idea; I'd like to keep Michael's legacy alive."
Katherine Jackson plans to attend the trial, although she will miss some days to fly to Wales to attend the show with Michael Jackson's children, she said.
"It will be on a Saturday when the courtroom is dark," Paul Ring, a Global Live Events executive said.
Fans can get tickets through a two-step process. They must first "register their interest for tickets" online at www.michaelforevertribute.com. A lottery will decide which fans will be emailed invitation to complete the ticket purchase.
The concert in the Wales Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, which seats 75,000 people, would be at least four hours long, Global Live Events CEO Chris Hunt said.
