Let's see: While the trial was going on some family members went abroad to have a concert, some went on vacation, some went away to the opening of a DVD, others stayed away. Meanwhile loving son/sibling trial of his murder was going on.
While some family members were abroad or absent from the court, some fans bought tickets and went to the trial; others engaged in other activities to show their support. It is a pity we fans did not get 8 seats to fill.

The world just does not stop when somebody goes on trial. They had previous engagements on top of that. I'm sorry, but you do not have the right to judge a situation that you are NOT in. Being part of any family is an accident of nature. It doesnt mean those people know you best, and in some cases, it doesnt even mean they care more, than outsiders. Families shouldnt be idealized. They are just people.
The trial is painful for each and everyone of us. We are still here, we still watch it, day by day. Because , as excruciating as it can be, it is also extremely important. Now, again, I wont pretend to know their deepest feelings, or be in their shoes. But I am shocked at the complete lack of discretion and dignity of some people.

Regardless of how difficult it is for them, they need to realize the role they play in court. I've read a countless number of times, how seeing family members makes it that much easier for the Jury to connect and sympathize with the victim. They can help humanize Michael in ways no other person sitting in court can, including his fans.
Therefore, it's the duty of the family. They need to get over their personal issues, and do it for Michael. I for one can't believe his mother would want to miss the day of the verdict. Michael has done so much for his family, especially Katherine. Where is the gratitude?

I don't care how upsetting it would be for me to sit in the court room of my murdered loved one, I would be there. I would want that jury to know that maybe it doesn't matter a lot to them but but it matters a hell of a lot to me because my loved ones matter to me. And no matter how upsetting it might be I would suck it up for them. I would strongly feel the need to represent them in this most important time.

I think with the way the trial is going and by the time it gets to the jury that Katherine should be there for the verdict. If I had to pick one person to be there for that it would be his mother.

It's pretty cold to make an elderly woman meet contractual obligations on a day when the person responsible for her sons death is facing the jury. She should be allowed to attend court IMO.

you already hear stories about the jury being bothered that the trial continues next week as well, who can blame them? Almost everyday they notice the absence of many family members, they are probably thinking 'why should I bother when hsi own family doesn't''

It isn't surprising that the jury members are getting fed up as employers only pay a certain amount of time when you have jury duty and the longer it goes on financially its tough as if you're called for jury duty you must do it. I just hope it ends sooner rather than later.

I pray to God that none of the juror thinks the way you just described. This trial is the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial. It's Conrad Murray who's on trial. The Jackson's attendance had no bearing whatsoever. Keep in mind that the jurors have lives as well. They have family and jobs. To spend five weeks away takes a toll. It's absolutely understandable why they feel weary now. I still have faith in the justice system. I surely hope the jurors know it's not Michael Jackson on trial, he'd the victim in thus case.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I just clicked on this thread for a laugh and I found it. Fans made this happen by not buying tickets. Good Job Everyone!!! This will let people know that we are fed up with the exploitation of Michael. I guess GLE paid the Jacksons first that is why they were able to take vacations after the event. The other artists got first class travel which was not paid, hotel accommodations and a little cash.

I hope this ends in a big fat lawsuit.
Good on the estate for stopping them from broadcasting the concert, I am sure they were expecting a huge windfall from licensing deals. They should have cancelled the show when it was clear tickets weren't selling. But I think they went ahead to prove us wrong. we told them it was "doomed to fail" and the wanted to prove us wrong, hoping licensing fees would make up for lost revenues...but then the estate put the kibosh on that.

Wow it's kind of ridiculous how fans predicted this and now it has come true.
Unbelievable that after all the hassle of convincing us this was not going to happen, it happened anyway.

Remember elusive checking sales for us daily; our predictions that they would not make much; GLE stories and family tweets saying how many tickets were being sold and it would be the greatest tribute to make Michael proud. Thank God Michael is not around because someone would be suing him again even if it was not his fault. I suggest we keep the photos of Hunt and others so the authorities can find them when they disappear.
