If that story is true, (from Mjstar) I wonder if fans will learn their lesson, following suit overreacting when the media overreacts.

I doubt it.

Its not Michael losing it that bothers me, its HOW he is losing it!

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

michael will Save Neverland

Michael Jackson will avoid foreclosure on his Neverland Ranch property with a new loan, a Jackson insider told CNN Wednesday. Documents show that Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, California, is scheduled for a public auction on March 19 at Santa Barbara’s downtown courthouse. But the Jackson source said that won’t happen.

“Michael Jackson’s ranch is not going to be auctioned off at the courthouse,” the Jackson insider said. “The financing is all being worked out. There are plenty of lenders willing to work with him. The real estate market is very bad right now and Jackson is being affected just like many other Americans,” the source said.

CNN

its on mjstar i just saw it yaaaaaaaaaaaaay:D

Do you have a link from an article that says that?

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

But he is NOT losing it.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

If Michael is trying to get a lender, and I'm sure he can, he's Michael Jackson, then he won't lose the ranch.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Well MJ is known as a contraversial popstar. Would you suggest that he do away with himself too? Joe did not raise no coward for a son. Michael Joseph Jackson will not bow to intimidation. 'he ain't scared a no sheet'.:punk:

Not once did I say Michael was a coward and give up. I'm just stating that with everything that has happened in the last 10+ years with regards to Neverland, and the fact that Michael has not been living there, it's easier to get everything he can out of Neverland and let it go. Why own something that you rarely have been using for the last couple of years, and still pump thousands, if not millions of dollars into that asset? It makes no sense.

I'm not questioning Michael's expenses. I'm just saying, as a smart business move, it would be wise to just move on and save money rather than put more money into something that isn't being used.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Well quite frankly it would seem that the media overreacted like they always do with MJ. They jumped the gun again just for some cheap news. MJ did take out a loan on his property as he is entitled to dol he did not squander the money, he bought out his lawyers share of the catalogue with it. MJ was paid up until the end of the deal. he sought to refinance it and the deal fell through, he sought a new loan from a new company. In the mean while, the usual official procedure takes its course. Nothing alarming. As long as it can be shown that Mj is in the process of refinacing and he can prove that a bank is drawing up the papers, there will be no selling. The bank is not in the bussiness of selling properties, they just want their money. They might slap on charges for late payment, but that is all. Now Big Mouth Friedman loiters at every court house looking for MJ transaction so he can create a name for himself. He did this before when the media camped outside Encino because Katherine was going to be bailifted cause Mj didn't pay the bills, then you have to ask, Where he her daughter Janet who is one of the richest woman in show-business, why would she sit down and watch her mother being evicted and do nothing to help. You have to ask about the mentality of these people who write these articles.

What is wise for Michael Jackson is what he determines to be wise for him... with respect to all of his finances and assets.

It would appear that he is working thru his issues and there is nothing any of us can do about this anyway.

Jackson Seeks To Keep Neverland Ranch

Michael Jackson will avoid foreclosure on his Neverland Ranch property with a new loan, a Jackson insider told CNN Wednesday.

Documents show that Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, California, is scheduled for a public auction on March 19 at Santa Barbara’s downtown courthouse.

But the Jackson source said that won’t happen.

“Michael Jackson’s ranch is not going to be auctioned off at the courthouse,” the Jackson insider said. “The financing is all being worked out.”

“There are plenty of lenders willing to work with him. The real estate market is very bad right now and Jackson is being affected just like many other Americans,” the source said.

The Santa Barbara County Recorder’s Web site lists a “notice of trustees sale” by Jackson and his property lenders, Financial Title Company, filed Monday.

In California, title companies typically represent lenders in foreclosure cases.

A notice of trustees sale cannot be posted earlier than 90 days after a notice of default is filed. That notice is not filed unless a loan is in substantial default, sometimes six months or more past due.

A real estate source inside Santa Barbara County said the trustees filing is only the first step in a long process that could drag on for months.

The real estate source said other options are available to Jackson, including selling the ranch directly to another party or making a payment on his $24.5 million Neverland debt that would satisfy the trustee.

The recorder’s Web site also reveals there was a release of lien on Jackson on February 4, showing he paid off all or part of delinquent taxes to the state of California.

“It seems unlikely that someone would pay off back taxes, only to let the ranch go up for auction a few weeks later,” said the real estate source.

Jackson has not lived at Neverland since June 2005.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

All of thi should have never been news in the first place. It was a private transaction taking place until RF got his stinking finger on the documentsl. I wonder if someone tipped him off?

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

That's what's annoying. None of this is anyones business. And like mello said, there's nothing any of us can do anyway. I wish we could, but we can't.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

I don't get why some people are acting like this is some type of life or death situation for them. How is this affecting anyone's life here personally? It's silly to get worked up over this. Anyway, Michael has already said in that Geraldo interview he did a few years ago that he has no plans to ever live there again, I believe the exact quote was "It's a house, not a home for me now" or something along those lines, so if he wants to keep it then he'll pay up (that is if he isn't broke like some claim) , if not then that's his decision, but I aint stressing over it.

Thank you.. I thought, wow I must be a bad fan if I'm not stressing about a issue none of us have control over, Unless one of us was like a multi billionaire and decided we were gonna buy it or something. Otherwise, this is Michaels own personal business. If he wants the house, I'm sure he can get it back. But the key words are "if he wants". He might not care anymore.

No one tips him off. RF snoops around the court house waiting on anything with Michael's name on it. The guy is totally obsessed with all things Michael. And yes, I DO believe that he has a thing for Michael.

That is what I was talking about. Why did this make news? Now, the media is going to look like idoits even more with egg on their faces. And yes, people are really going to understand because 40-50% of the housing market in going through this.

So true. Why is his any of his business? I have seen an "columnist" writer this so involved in a celebrity money case. What is it? And what I want know, who giving this nut information that he feels he needs to report? It is very clear that RF wants control over Michael. He even claimed Thriller 25 was a flop. Even other journalist and music critics said Thriller is a success to be doing what it is doing and many of them seem to be happy that such a old songs were remixed (this cd is sell out which is why I do not know why store are not stocking it even more). So again, I do not know what is this man's (RF) problem.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Friedbrains is only as good as his sources, and most of the time, his sources are total trash. He's in love with Michael, as is Diane Dumpface and all those other nasty little trolls. It's like the boy who likes the girl. He doens't know how to confront the person of interest so instead he harrasses and attacks them.

alright, i'll correct myself...it's the media...not the santa barbara courts..my bad..it's just that the attractiveness of bad news stories about mj is tiring...

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

*whispers* Papa, don't preach, I'm keepin' ma babayyy.

Looks like he wants to keep da babayyy! :p

I think we all KNOW why this made news. It happens like clockwork. No one should be surprised, imo. It's unfortunate that it continues to get FED...over and over again. And I'm not just talking about the media. :) At least NOW there won't be day after day after day of ppl having a go at this til March 19. Dear God!

Now, back to the T25 celebration, yes? :punk:no? :( *throws confetti on everyone. GET HAPPY!

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

As far as I heard today Michael has never planned to "lose" Neverland to anyone.. And btw there are so much very expensive stuff in that place it would never happen.

thats what Ive been TRYING to say through out this WHOLE saga...but nooooooo, no one listens to me.

We keep feeding into the media's hands, and it works every time. People would rather believe what the media says rather than MJ... and i'm not saying MJ doesnt lie, but MJ has a much better track record than the media, thats for sure.

I saw you fighting the good fight, J5master. ^5!

And it's interesting how these "MJ Losing Neverland" threads grew so rapidly when it was potential bad news...and now that there's potential good news, it has slowed to crawl. Is everyone in shock? :fear:

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

This is AWFUL! It makes me so sad to see Michael talking about Neverland in PHM saying "Neverland is me...I'll never sell neverland.." :( I really, really hope he doesn't loose it. It wouldn't be right. Neverland is MICHAEL'S not winning bidder's. :(

I really don't understand how Michael can be in so much debt after he's sold the most records any solo artist has, the biggest world tours, owned the Beatle's catalogue..and all the other stuff. HOW??

EDIT: It's being worked out? Oh God, I REALLY hope so. *crosses fingers*

When was the last time Michael was actually at Neverland, does anyone know? 'cause he hasn't seemed to of been living there since before the trial, which is sad. :(
