Michael Jackson's Letter To Lisa Marie Presley Pulled From Auction (PHOTO)

A letter Michael Jackson wrote to then-wife Lisa Marie Presley has been pulled from an auction at the request of Presley, reports TMZ.
The handwritten note was set to be auctioned at Julien’s Auction, in Beverly Hills, along with other Jackson memorabilia. It was expected to fetch up to $1,200 until Presley, who was married to Jackson for two years, protested its sale.
In the note, which is estimated to have been written sometime between 1993 and 1996, Jackson complains of his struggle with sleep deprivation.
On lined, yellow paper, Jackson drew a box and an arrow instructing Presley to "smell here." Jackson wrote:
Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally [sic] in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and Business people. I must take care of my health first Im' [sic] crazy for you Love Turd.​
Jackson famously struggled with insomnia, which became so problematic that he turned to Propofol, a drug that would eventually kill him. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, and his doctor, Conrad Murray, who prescribed and administered the Propofol along with a cocktail of benzodiazepines -- midazolam, lorazepam, diazepam -- was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in October 2011 and was sentenced to four years in L.A. County jail.
Julien's Auctions, also auctioning off the estate of Lisa Marie's late father, Elvis Presley, agreed to remove the letter from the sale, telling TMZ, "I'm assuming it's a personal nature, and we wanted to honor the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley."

I agree with this article. NOT because I dont like LM but because the timing of this is too suspect for me to just brush it off as a usual leak...And on top of that Lisa is no saint either.

Today the media launched another big Michael Jackson story. A sad letter Michael wrote to Lisa Marie Presley years ago was to go on auction at the Julien’s Auctions sale in Beverly Hills next month.
The strange letter, written somewhere in the mid 90’s read: “Lisa I truly need this rest I haven’t slept litterally (sic) in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first. I’m crazy for you. Love, Turd.” (A picture of the letter here.)
Then hours later Lisa Marie demanded for the letter to be pulled out.
“I’m assuming it’s [of] a personal nature, and we wanted to honor the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley,” auction house owner Darren Julien told TMZ of the request to yank the letter. The “good relationship” includes the sale of Elvis Presley’s original tomb next month (June).
Lisa now claims the letter was stolen but an insider has a different idea: “For those saying the letter was stolen, why was it made public? Lisa Marie has a new album, that’s why, what a coincidence.”
It is certainly interesting that, with her new album gaining no momentum, Lisa is once more in the news via the Kings in her life: her father and ex-husband.
The publicity surrounding the auction and withdrawal of the letter gave her headlines around the world TWICE.
Detail: she talked about the letter being stolen and going up for auction a few days earlier, but waited until the publicity started to call for it to be pulled.
Will this actually help her album sales? No idea, but it does keep her in the public eye.
The letter -which some whisper might be fake- being made public would also put to rest rumours of her marriage to Michael being fake.

Meanwhile Jermaine Jackson has announced that he will talk to the German Bild Tabloid for the European release of his book. MJ reverences will, obviously, be included.

Completely disgusting. Any opportunity the media gets to mention MJ's name, even in his death, even with a sweet but sad note, they malign and humiliate him. I so wish they got back some of what they dish out, that something like their extremely personal and private notes were made public to be dissected and ridiculed. The insensitivity is just mindboggling.

@ the smirking newscasters of that disgusting CNN piece: No, he meant your brains are filled with turds so you can't even understand a simple letter! That is what's really bizarre. Pardon my Frensh. This is exactly why I don't get the news media. It is not just the tabloids that slander MJ's name, indeed even after his death, but the big networks as well. And that is why we fans have so much trouble finding ppl who are open to the concept that Michael was in fact a loving, caring, smart and sweet (etc) guy instead of what the media make him out to be :S

Michael Jackson never makes spelling mistakes, he simply creates new ways of spelling words
 
what's wrong with these journalists?
they never had a silly nickname which only makes sense when used with a friend / relative / boyfriend / girlfriend?
one of the most common things in the world becomes something "bizzaro" just because it is MJ.
no matter it is "TURD", I've seen much worse nicknames! and not we know what it meant for them

I think it's interesting that this happened in a period that she' would not be doing anything she would be accused also of having placed the note in the auction, expected some fanmj tweed her, then pull it "only after the media reported" because it would be just to gain attention. .. the "perfect timing " always arise because she is disappeared in media and bla bla bla

I still see no logic or evidence in a publicity stunt this to call attention to your album what in the real context is very strange after she appeared in some TV shows, magazine articles, etc. ..

in fact the only article that was quoting the album in this with conspiracy theory.
and the article is wrong, shame to manipulate the facts! I don't think is fair when they did this with Michael and the same way I don't think is fair to other persons , no matter if LMP and "I don't like her!
the note was removed before the media to publish articles about it, various articles which had reported that the note still was in the auction while the item was removed definitively, all indicates that she did not expect the media to find the "news" for action.

by the way as unfair that the privacy of Michael and her were disrespected
would be very unfair if she had to fight to recover something that was his and still had to do it secretly so that some fans more sensitive are not revolted with her lol

Bashed about what? there is nothing bad in that letter.. he sounds sweet and sleep deprived, what's wrong with that?
 
What are they saying about the letter? Just leave Michael alone. Why don't they show compassion to someone who had trouble sleeping. A problem that he suffered years from. They are heartless but will jump at the chance to interview his mom and kids and act all nice and praise Michael to their faces.

I totally agree.....whenever Michael is talked about it is bizarre!!!! Why can't the media just give it a rest..It was nice to see that was happy with Lisa at the time of the letter....and So what .....he had a strange nickname....so do many other people...I actually thought it was cute....but I truly feel terrible about him not being able to sleep...
 
I want to smack the person that leaked the letter because now we have stupid media folks who are makin fun of MJ. They call him creepy, bizarre and god knows what else just for what he says in a simple damn letter. So I guess they think their reaction to it is something they call normal? Mmmm okay...o_O

I have been thinking the same thing. Whoever did it in my opinion doesn't care about Michael at all.

The media think its werid but of course like someone else here on the forum said, everything mj did was werid according to the media. God the media are a bunch of morons!
 
This note is about acceptance. That's what Michael stood for, acceptance. He is such a sweet and gentle soul.

You can't help falling deeper in love with him!
 
This smells like a publicity stunt by Lisa and her camp to help her gain more attention......something she failed to get in the begining of her album promo - causing her album to have her worst sell ever. And now she got the attention, her name is everywhere, thanks to Michael- once again.

The letter from Julien's auction stating she didnt give them the note means nothing to me. I would never expect them to tell a fan she gave them it - more sh_i storm would be coming. They arnt stupid.

Lisa said on twitter the letter was stolen from her. Then she deleted that tweet. - I have no idea why. My question is, if true -
WHO stole it?
Who ever stole the note, was that all they stole from her? Just that? You'd would think the theif would get the other letters she said on twitter she still has in her possession. Which I believe would be all together in some box hidden somewhere with the rest of her stuff she saves. Why did they just steal that one and put it up for auction?
How is that Lisa was able to get this letter back so quickly but wont get her dad's crypt out the auction?
Also the guy who supposedly stole this from Lisa and gave it Julien's auction, why isnt he in the news? Didnt he commit a crime? Is Lisa not angry with this guy for coming in her house and going through her things and stealing that letter?

Actually The lack of sleep mentioned in the note was in Michael's favor. It only proves he really did have an ongoing problem with insomnia which the media seems to over look many times. All we really do know is the letter was very cute. It showed Michael had a great sense of humour, needed some rest and was Crazy for LMP. No need to add more or diasect it like Tabloids and some fans are doing.

I was on twitter when it all unfolded and the fist mention of the letter was when one of our members sent it to her - she was surprised to see it and asked where he got it from. and he directed here to Juliens auction. I never saw in that twitter discussion that was going on that Lisa said it was stolen and DI who sent her the pic of the letter never stated she said that either. Now you can ask him (DI) as he was directly involved in the twitter discussion with her. She comtemplated if she could do anything about it. Then we see she did corespond and had the letter removed from the auction.

Now she did state in a earlier interview that she had to do a cleaning house (fire) becuase things were stolen by friends and associates from the Estate and some illegal activities were going on but she wasnt speaking specific to this letter. She is not namimg names and rightly so. To "speculate: it was all done on her part as a publicity stunt just because you are biased against her and don't personally like her isn't fair or right IMO. Especially when we have her initial twitter discussion, The fact she did pulll it after that discussion and correspondence from Julien's stating she didnt place the article. up for auction. We have evidence to show it was not a publicity stunt and then we have Meir speculation going on based against all the evidence. To me That just shows some posting here are biased against her have an agenda and are not interested in seeking truth in this matter.

Myself I'm neutral and take or leave LMP. I have no love for her or hatred. I just respect truth and not gossip because Michael suffered so much from the twisting of facts due to the media being biased. They are doing the same thing to MJ and LMP over this letter. (Twisting) to suite agenda. Not to bring any truth to this matter.

Now after all that. Could it be a publicity stunt ? Sure, but we have no proof of that in this case.
the evidence we have shows otherwise .. Speculation isnt fact or evidence. That only reveals ones bias

Well, you cannot prove something didn't happen. It's the accusers who have to prove something happened if they want to accuse someone of something. You guys don't have any evidence, you just accuse her because you dislike her. I also find it interesting that the biggest LMP bashers follow her every step, every move and dissect her every word and twist it intos something negative. I mean if you dislike her so much why do you care about her so much, why do you follow her on Twitter and so on? There is a thread on LSA inside the MJ forum that is dedicated just to the bashing of LMP. The Chandlers, the Arvizos, the Sneddons of this world don't get as much hatred from some of these MJ fans as LMP. They follow her every step. I'm not suprised if she blocks some of those fans. I have seen her tweeting with people those had user names indicating they were MJ fans, so no, it's not true she blocks MJ fans (that rumour was also started by these LMP haters at LSA). She blocks those who go there to bash her and who are disrespectful. She doesn't have to tolerate that. Also she's not obliged to answer questions about MJ and her private life on Twitter. I dont know why you're replying to me with all of this. I am NOT a Lisa hater nor do I follow her every move, I just happen to follow fans who tweets her and retweets things she posts. Obviously you are a Lisa fan and is mad about people not liking her but sorry I dont care--you need to take your angry post to those who you are talking about. I am not them. I dont not post on LSA.

In conlusion, my opinion still stands. I believe Lisa leaked that letter for press and until I see more evidence to show she didnt, my opinion will remain.

Also If Jermaine Jackson had a scandal like this during the release week of his book, you best believe I would accuse him of the same thing! And Im sure I wont be the only MJ who does so. No one is picking on her just because if that what you think. She being accused of leaking this for press because of her long history of attention seeking. Thats it. And I am done with this topic...moving on!

I am not a LMP basher or hater. I do not follow her on twitter. But I do feel that she leaked the letter, probably thru a surrogate. Juliens does guarentee the authenticity of items they auction & they have a warm relationship with her. There are way too many questions- it is a win situation for both Juliens & LMP. I think she did the interview with Access Hollywood about things being stolen from her as part of her plan.
 
I don't care who leaked this letter. I am beyond glad it's out there. At the end of the day it's a WIN-WIN for MJ.

The media will never acknowledge their part in MJ'S passing. So the spinning continues.
 
All I am upset about is that the media continue to bash Michael. I mean really, Lisa Costello laughing about this being "bizarre" what's bizarre about a letter written to his wife, and the Turd part, really doesn't everyone have a nickname for their loved one? She (Lisa Costello) is the one that is totally bizarre. I never liked her, she's got this sarcastic, bizarre way of reporting the news.

I would suggest we all go to CNN and comment on this matter. This is ridiculous.

I'm glad the letter is out because it clarifies to eveyone that Michael has problems with insomnia and he wanted to be HEALTHY.
 
I cant believe this simple and sweet short letter (note) was twisted and made something HUGE! First time I read it, it made me smile and laugh at the end. I did not miss the part where he said he has to get some rest since he hasn't slept in 4 days.

Also, with no proof that Lisa leaked this letter, we cant base our decision with only speculation. Thats being ignorant, and I think we (MJ Fans) have experienced that, one time or another. I hope this dies down.
