Murray Trial- Day 16 - October 24 - Discussion

Showing the drawing Alberto Alvarez did of the IV stand and the attached IV bag with the propofol bottle inside the bag.
 
been with the LAPD since 94. were u working that day were u in L.A? no i wasnt. was assigned when he came back to L.A which was the 28th. he interviewed alberto on the 31st august 09 where u aware of his initial statement on the 25th? yes. had u reviewed that statement? yes u are aware alberto never mentioned putting vials away? yes never mentioned the IV bag? yes. august interview where did it happen? office building. albertos lawyer? objection substained. scott smith was there. was amir present in the interview? no was he in the office he doesnt know when amir arrived. amir was interviewed at the same location later. same with faheem.

albertos pictures of the IV set what we have seen before another drawing done on the 31st about the pulse oxy on mjs fingers. these pics were done 4 days after the COD was announced by the coroner. going on about press coverage being overwhelming. (asking the same questions as they did on cross nothing new at all)

Have the defense brought up a proper witness yet? Not had a chance to watch it as TV Signal has gone down and streams are really choppy for me right now.
 
10 years with LAPD went to UCLA at around 1530 . he spoke to several witnesses. alberto. did u interview him? no that was smith. i was there for half of it then left. di u hear alberto mention vials? no dip bottle in the bag? no .then went to carolwood at around 1930.see alberto there? no he didnt. he saw faheem there. alex supaul came (witness b4) were u with alex in the basement where the recorder was? yes. did u determine what footage should be downloaded? yes. your decision to only download footage of mj arriving? yes and murray arriving. you are aware more footage could have been downloaded if u wanted to . Yes. meet alberto after june 25th. yes several times. sept to get his fingerprints. ever get a statement no it was just for finger prints.

he wasnt there for albertos interview in august. objections substained. april 2011 met alberto. prior to that did u look at his august statment? yes .why did the interview come about in april . walgren asked for the meeting asked orlando to bring some evidence to the D.A's office. did he say what the purprose of the meeting was? no. he knew alberto would be there as walgren told him. who was at the meeting walgren and alberto and himself. he bought 3 items to the meeting saline bag pulse oxy and diprivan bottle. when u arrived was alberto already there? no both arrived together walked to wlagren office after parking up at the police station

drawing of the IV bag mentioned above it was drawn at the april meeting. orlando say him draw it.showing the bag alberto drew in august 09. would you agree the drawing made two years later is significantly different.objection substained. the meeting in april 11 was a few weeks b4 a trial was supp to happen .

re direct alberto never recognised the bottle in the prelim never said that was it? (walgren objects think he says alberto was never asked to ID a bottle in the prelim) yes . alberto said he saw a vial in a bag never said it was a diprivan bottle? yes. never mentioned the xtra chamber in august. never mentioned it when they got finger prints. first time he mentioned it was in the april meeting as he viewed the saline bag which was diff to the one he saw. . 3 items were displayed in the april meeting but the detec bought other items as they were all in a sealed box. so he had to bring the whole thing together. nothing else was shown to alberto except those three things.(ofcourse baldy is implying he was shown other evidence as its all one big set up!)

I find it a bit unsettling that now Alberto could look like a liar to the jury. Personally, I think Alberto was telling the truth. But I also think he might have made a serious mistake because, according to Myers, Alberto neglected to tell the police about the IV bag. This doesn't look good to me at all. This is just my opinion.

I'd hazard a guess that Alverez hadn't been asked for the detail of the saline bag until 11th April. The initial drawing he did (with the IV stand) was very simple.

alberto was shown the IV saline bag in april 11 at that meeting. he said the one he saw that murray told him to take down was different at the bottom to the one the police were showing him. so they got him to draw it. alberto could not say anything earlier as he was not shown the saline bag until that meeting so could not say any earlier that the one he saw was different

as a detective in this case, was present during some of the testimony

detective with LAPD since 1994, currently robbery homicide divisions

June 25th was not in LA, was assigned to the case the monday after

interviewed Albert Avarez on agust 31 2009

was aware of Aas statement on june 25th

On june 25th, AA never mentionned putting away medication, never mentionned the bottle in the bag

iOn August 31 st, Aas nterview was in AA's lawyer's office

Was MAW in the same office : DM doesn't know, was interviened the same day, in the same location, doesn't know if he was there at the time AA's interview took place;
Faheem Mohammed was also interviewed the same day

On august 31st AA made a drawing, shows the drawing, decribed the bottle and the milky substance in the bag

AA made anther drawing, of the pulse oxymeter he saw on Mjs finger

AA made these drawing on august on 31, 4 days after the coroners press release, that was made on 27th august, and identified cause of death as propofol

There was a lot of media coverage in the weeks after Mjs death

Shows another drawing (an IV bag), DM says he has never seen it before.

No cross examination.

Detective Orlando Martinez :
has been present during some of the tesimony, as a detective on the case

detective for LAPD, has been with the LAPDfor 10 and half years, currently Robbery Homicide Division

Went to UCLA on june 25th, at around 3 30 pm.

At UCLA, spoke to different people, one of them was AA. Was present during half of AA's interview.

Didn't menetion putting away vials, didn't mention seeing a vial or a bottle in a bag.

Then DM went to Carolwood, at around 7 30pm. Didn't see AA there, saw Faheem Muhammed.

Saw Alex Suppal, who was there to help retrieve the video. Was with him , and saw the video.

OM made the decision to only download Mjs and dr Murray's arrivals. There could have been more video downloaded.

Saw AA also in september for his fingerprints. There was no statement, saw AA 3 times to take the prints.

Was not present during august 31 metting

Met Alvarez in april 11, reviewed the 31 august for that meeting. Walgren OM called the day before, asked that he brings certain items to the DA's office, and AA would be there. Meeting took place at Mr Walgrens office. Only AA, DW, DM were present. Brought a saline bag, pulse oximeter, propofol bottle. AA parked at the police buidling and walked with DM to DW's office

the picture of the IV bag was done 2 years after, Gourjian says the IV bag is significantly different

April meeting was a few weeks before the trial was scheduled.

Cross by Walgren :

AA testified regarding the bottle inside the saline, the pulse oximeter in january, during the preliminary hearing.

AA drawing iv bag : AA saw the IV bag DM brought, AA said there was an additional chamber, AA drew it to explain the chamber.

Re direct Gourjian

AA didn't testify at the preliminary hearing that people's 106, the propofol bottle, was the one he saw (objection : he was not presented with the evidence)

AA never mentionned the additional chamber in august 31, he did that only in April, DM says yes, after he saw the saline bag in april.

The only item displayed in April, were those 3 items. No other vials, no other IV bags were presented to mr Alvarez.

Alberto testified that as far as he was aware at the time, is that the stuff that he gathered at Murrays request was taken to the hospital and thats why it wasn't mentioned.
 
exactly yet they are making it seem like he is lying. which is unfortunate cuz out of all the security he was the one who seemed to be still affected with what hapepned to Michael, this guy didn't sell Michael out for the past 2 and half years though he had plenty of hours, only to not jeapardize the trial against Murray, that alone deserves my respect.
