New All-Star Tribute album?

How is ‘something’ better than ‘nothing’, if that ‘something’ is something you don’t want?
For one, it’s not all about you. And you have the option of not having it. So don’t want it and don’t have it all you like. For two:

If that something is actually good? We're not talking about Off The Wall with Chalk, these are songs from a departed genius sung by today's greatest talents.

That didn’t answer the question in the slightest.

not the sentiment i get from browsing 2000 watts unfortunately
He is right, though. Fans dont "really" want the AI stuff. But it has gotten to a point where they have realised the Asstate are releasing lesser and lesser songs. To a point where all they can do is wait for leaks, which rarely happens. So they instead, cope with the hope for AI songs instead as it is something "new" (dopamine kick).

If they could choose, there would be 0 question they would choose real unheard music.

We had La Toya ex-husband stole laptops and we heard 0 songs from that.

This album can be our only chance to hear songs from Michael last years.

So it's no longer MJ's music and it's just a tribute album, haha. Wonder what happened there /s

If that’s the case, then quite frankly, I don’t care much about this project.
Sounds like it's the case to me

The Weeknd joins the Michael Jackson tribute album. Will K-pop singers also participate?

As some of the global artists participating in King of Pop Michael Jackson's tribute album 'Timeless Melodies' were revealed, expectations for KPOP artists to participate are also growing.

Fandom Korea, which is currently working on an album, announced on the 22nd that global artist ‘The Weeknd’ will participate in the Michael Jackson tribute album project.

In this project album, The Weeknd will personally compose and record three of the included songs, and will also participate as an executive producer (EP) in the overall album to improve the quality of the entire album.

The Weeknd is an R&B singer who has won five Grammy Awards and has accumulated album sales of over 175 million copies. He recently ranked first in the world for monthly listeners on Spotify and was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, making him a singer-songwriter loved around the world. He is a writer and global artist.

An official from Fandom Korea said, “This collaboration was carried out when The Weeknd directly expressed his intention to participate as a general producer.” “As The Weeknd has consistently expressed his respect for Michael Jackson, he participated as a general producer and artist in this album.” “It has great meaning,” he explained.

He continued, “Currently, there is a lot of interest and participation from global artists in the production of the project album, and with the addition of collaboration with The Weeknd, the album’s completeness is expected to be further improved.”

Warner Music Korea is responsible for distribution and sales of the Michael Jackson tribute project album ‘Timeless Melodies’ produced by Fandom Korea, and famous global producers and artists are expected to participate in completing the album.

Flask's subsidiary Fandom Korea announced on the 11th that global artist Bruno Mars' participation in Michael Jackson's tribute album 'Timeless Melodies' has been confirmed.

Bruno Mars is a global pop singer who has won a total of 15 Grammy Awards so far for his high level of musical perfection and performance. Fandom Korea said, “Following our previous contract with The Weeknd, we are very honored to have concluded a contract with Bruno Mars, currently the most famous artist in the world,” adding, “This project will be carried out with top-notch staff from album distributors to artists.” “It is being carried out through collaboration,” he said, showing strong confidence.

He then expressed his expectations, saying, “This project will not only be a tribute to Michael Jackson, the king of pop, but will also remain as a monumental album in the music industry with the participation of top domestic and foreign artists.”

Meanwhile, Fandom Korea signed a distribution and sales contract with Warner Music Korea, a global music distributor, for this project album last August. Since then, we are in the process of signing album participation contracts with top global artists such as The Weeknd.

The Weeknd was in charge of overall production of the ‘Timeless Melodies’ album. It is scheduled to be released worldwide, including the United States.

I don't know, but all these press releases coming out of this site seem so fake to me for some reason.

Warner Music Korea begins supporting the production of a Michael Jackson tribute album.

On the 1st, Warner Music Korea announced that the world's top artists will participate in the Michael Jackson tribute album 'Timeless Melodies: A Tribute to Michael Jackson' (hereinafter referred to as 'Timeless Melodies'). They announced that they will begin support work.

On July 27, Warner Music Korea signed a worldwide distribution contract with Fandom Korea for the Michael Jackson tribute album, and was in charge of distribution and sales of 'Timeless Melodies', which is scheduled to be released simultaneously around the world.

'Timeless Melodies' is a project to complete the last songs Michael Jackson was working on, and producer Rodney Jerkins, who participated in the production of Michael Jackson's album, and world top producer Neff-U are scheduled to participate. .

So if what this website is saying is real then we should expect songs Michael himself worked on in his latest years. Does this mean that Michael’s voice will be on the record aswell if he recorded some vocals (e.g. “Water” where he sang the chorus) or will the other artists sing it alone (even when Michael did record vocals, will they not use them)?

Will they re-record the instrumentals or will they keep it how Michael left it? So many questions, but I’m interested to see the outcome.

Edit: Maybe the could put the orginal versions of the songs as Michael left them on a second disc. Kind of like Xscape?

This project better be good

This is basically a gift to us MJ fans since the Estate would never release these, since they don't have complete vocals/no vocals.

With The Weeknd in charge of the production I don't think they'll be using the original instrumentals, but with Neff-U in the project I have faith that he'll be doing the remixes justice. Hopefully we'll get an ETA soon enough, I'm very interested to see how this project goes.

The project is potentially only tangentially connected to Michael. Either way, the point of it is good press for MJ, which is always something to just enjoy. Whether we're happy with the project or not.
