New HOT TOYS, BAD/Dirty Diana DX Michael Jackson action figure.

i want the Thriller hot toy doll. Is that one still available or sold out? How much do these things go for anyway?
I'm not crazy about the face on this one. The bottom jaw is too strong, very Travolta looking.
But the rest of it looks cool.

Shipping was about 20 euro.


The Bad doll will be 24.000JPY, which is about 200 euro, or US$275
It's more expensive because you can actually move they eyes and there's a stand
with lights in it included.

I think the face looks OK, but as with the other two before this one, they made it after one particular pose of Michael, so it looks nicer in some poses than in others, you just have to figure is out a bit :)

MJ is the one profiting, his estate, his kids, and 20 percent pretty much goes to charity.

Some of you over sensitive fans need to relax.
 
Do you negative nellies ever think that these products are for fans to enjoy, and not just for profit? Yes, someone is going to profit from their craft. People do need to make a living, ya know? There's nothing wrong with that.

What, people should release MJ music, videos and merchandise for free to placate the fans? Ridiculous.

Michael wasn't above making a profit. He made millions off the Beatles work, didn't he? Off a dead John Lennon? Did he say, "i'm not making money off Lennon's work, he's dead?" NO, he did not.

MJ signed a deal for these long before he died. Billie Jean doll was released in march 2009.
So unless Hot Toys killed Michael for profit, I dont see anything wrong with it.
Like the other poster said: it's nice for the fans to have these iconic dolls.
 
I want them all but where do I buy them from?

It really annoys me how we can't purchase MJ merchandise from the shops! I really dislike online buying, I don't trust it.
 
Looks incredible, so much better than the Billie Jean and Thriller ones. I love the thriller one, i got it. But this face is incredibly accurate. Sadly..no doubt they are gonna change things. The first pictures of the Billie jean figure looked real accurate too..but the final figure really didn't , and the same with thriller, as great as the figure is...the first pictures were very accurate..the final figure much less.

I doubt you'll find it under 150 euros though, Hot Toys figures are always around that priceticket. Really not that bad at all if you look at the quality and especially the likeness, it's incredible.
 
I'll be honest, the doll doesn't look quite like Michael Jackson by the face from the Bad era. It looks like a replica of a Jackson impersonator.
 
Doesn't look like Michael?.....true..more like a striking resemblance, this is easily the best figure of MJ yet...the likeness is crazy.

the face is the hardest thing to draw, this is actually excellent, you can never draw the face exactly how it was, thats why the Mona Lisa was very popular.
 
They should make a Dangerous doll!! (when he wears the red shirt and white arm band) I would so buy that for any price!

There's a big chance that'll happen when the figure comes out. Just go on ebay and see what people have created for the billie jean and thriller figure, in terms of costumes :)

I really hope they don't change too much, i remember how the billie jean and thriller figures looked on the very first pics, and the final result wasn't as good. They really do not need to change anything really.

As for the person here saying he/she's not gonna buy it cause they are cashing in on Michael. Their Billie Jean and Thriller figures were already in production when he was still living. It's obvious that Hot Toys loves MJ, cause never before have they made so many figures of a person. Then again...not many people are as unique and special as MJ..... :)
 
Ooh Im definately getting this one!

I had preordered the BJ doll back then but when it arrived in stock I was paying for my trip to London to see Michael in concert so I couldnt afford it then and cancelled. But to be honest I didnt like his updated face, I prefer the 1st one. The Thriller doll was cool but also didnt think it looked much like him.

Now, the BAD doll is AWESOME. It is perfect and from my fav era/songs, better the the other 2. So I'll preorder this one asap!!
