The video looks very professional... but they're all some talented fans out there
Due to a formal request on behalf of Michael Jackson’s label, MJ Beats removed the video that was previously shared about the release of ‘Off The Wall 2015’.
The reason we did it is the fact that the material is still unfinished.
We kindly ask the understanding of the fan community to avoid the premature distribution of the video at this time.
We’ll be back shortly with news!
People when will you learn...if it's not on the official Michael Jackson website or from Sony....it's bullshit. Can't believe people fell for a BLATANT bunch of BS.
Nobody does anniversary packages for albums 35 years old.....25 years, 50 years maybe....but 35? I don't think so. They had their chance with OTW 25 and missed it....same for OTW 30 (for obvious reasons that year )
As I said earlier, until OFFICIAL word comes from Sony and not an outside website not connected to Sony, it's not happening.
So I couldn't sneak away to see what was posted today. Just got glimpses of the forum during the day.
So what did you all see? I'm like Sheila-I don't do bootlegs either but am curious what was shown. Was it anything to do with the doc or footage of OTW or tour or what???
Lmao, that was fantastic.

Does remixes from today's artists mean like "Thriller 25"??
Im sorry about that too-even tho I like Bruno Mars. I agree about Thriller and Bad25. I didn't buy either one even though I would have loved to have bought a copy of the demos. And the Live Concert. But they didn't sell them separately.I'm not too thrilled about that. Both Thriller 25 and Bad 25 were a waste of space IMO.
that video was hilarious...... but if there's no tour release then that's dumb af, just look at Queen's 1981 Rock Montreal show... personally i think the Triumph Tour introduced Michael's growth of maturity in performing on stage

On a personal level, I don't want to see Bruno Mars anywhere near this project. He's too often called the next Michael Jackson, which couldn't be further from the truth (I would dub him the next Prince). If Pharrell simply must make an appearance, do NOT let him sing on it. And keep Adele, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc. as far away from Off the Wall as possible.
Sorry... but they don't need to do "fake". They got Buenos Aires snippets first (leaked later), they got Bremen snippets and also they were at the pre-release of XSCAPE last year. ;DDon't get me wrong, MJB is amazing. But, now a fake thing becomes a real thing, put this down foe MJ firsts, am I right?
Agreed. If this is indeed true it seems they are using the same strategy as for Bad 25. The problem there imo was that they tried to appeal to both hardcore fans and the general public, and in the process ended up not really satisfying either. They release some demos to appeal to fans, but then fill the rest of the disc with remixes that turned most fans off. They try to get attention from the general public by striking a promotional deal with Pepsi, but even many fans who were specifically looking for cans could not find them in stores. In the end they did not manage to reach the general public nor fully satisfy fans.I'm not too thrilled about that. Both Thriller 25 and Bad 25 were a waste of space IMO.
Even if they only release a limited amount of unheard demos, they could fill the rest of the disc up with demos of the songs that did make the album, alternate takes, perhaps some extended mixes. There's an amazing demo of I Can't Help It that Brad Sundberg plays at his seminars that would make an incredible addition, for instance. Heck, even the original album mixes would be more fitting. The second disc of Bad25 had 23 minutes of open space on it. There was more than enough space to put more music. They made the conscious decision not to do so, which begs the implication that we would have gotten six demos regardless of what came after.
In which case the remixes really aren't hurting anyone or anything.

Lol, that made me laugh

I think they just need to make up their minds whether they want this to be a project for diehards or the general public as well, and plan accordingly. But even if they do want to reach the general public, I do not see why they could not add in demos/alternate takes, etc. A remix might get someone's attention but it's the actual MJ content that people who purchase this will be interested in. I doubt anyone is going to buy a box like this just to get their hands on a remix. If they feel they have to use a remix during the promotion to get some attention then they can always do that seperately, as has always been done with releases. But Michael's work should be central. I'd much prefer it if they use the documentary to get attention... It's a celebration of Michael's classic album, it should be his work that gets promoted.
