So I'm off to Sydney to meet a couple MJJCers and we are going to the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney........ and this is why:

Plus it will be fun to talk MJ over lunch, as I'm taking them to Harry's Cafe De Wheels for meat pies covered in mash, peas & gravy :naughty:

Once I get back tonight I'll post a picture of MJ's glove and jacket ;)

We had a fun time. We didn't get to Harry's though, which was okay because we went to the Boost shop in Darling Harbour and had something healthier and colder (we were pretty warm with all the walking!).

We loved the MJ display!!! :clapping:

It was SO sparkly. Some of my pictures were all screwed up because it was sparkling all sorts of colors and I wasn't using a flash or anything but the dim lights were hitting it.

You know what else we did? We went to a store in Sydney so we could smell that Black Orchid that MJ used to wear......... holy cow did it smell good! :woohoo:

Yeeeeew!!! The jacket and glove!!! Was so awesome - I've seen it twice in one week :p And I am ready to go again!

Kel, Misty and Me :) A nice passer-byer was happy to take our mugshot...even if he did think we were a little strange as all three of us were just sitting there on the floor beside it :lol:

Was a great day! And really, such an amazing feeling being in the presence of such iconic pieces of history making items!
 
^ Thanks for those. It really was amazing to see that glove and that jacket. I know we had a good time being silly and taking a million pics but it was humbling too, to know those were the actually pieces he wore. I'd love to go again before I leave Australia.

I recently went the the offical Exhibtion in London. Loved it :wub:


So that's the Motown 25 glove? :eek: I think the one at the Exhibition is from the night he won all his Grammy's. :yes:
 
Great pics! :D Good to see some of you for the first time as well ;) I've stood outside Hamley's for a good half hour just thinking how much Michael loved it in there :(
 
Lorraine this glove was from that Grammy awards too. He switched gloves at least twice during the broadcast, I don't know if he did that knowing the gloves were going places or what, but it turned out to be a great idea :p The jacket was from Motown 25 though :D

Aw I bet you did Stephen. I'd probably do the same :huggy:
 
^ Hiya, the jacket and glove were both actually worn by him......... it's why they put them in a case which was NOT FAIR :p The glove was in decent shape but the color of the glove under the sequins was getting faded and was missin a few sequins. The jacked was more worn down, especially towards the bottom of it. But yeah, like that jacket, was the one he ACTUALLY wore during Billie Jean @ the Motown 25th. It got on the news and all when they first put it out in the 80's Exhibit :D

Have you posted pics of the official Exhibition!?! I would have loved to have seen that :)

I still get all excited when I look at these photos here hehe
